Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3558 Gathered Family

Chapter 3558 Gathered Family

Alex could hardly stop smiling as he happily watched his family members scattered around the hall, all sitting and talking together.

Graham sat on the floor with one hand resting on his knee. Behind him, Helen sat on the couch, with Emily next to her, and the older Alex beside her. Whisker stood on Helen's shoulder.

Ronron sat on another couch with Hao Ya next to her and Liz on the other side. The third couch in the room held Battlesage along with Long Huan and Hannah.

Scarlet was in her beast form, perched upon Hannah's arm for the moment, while Pearl lay on the floor, with Ronron slowly moving her hands through his strange fur, watching the blue-striped patterns on it.

Alex sat on the floor as well, leaning against the same couch on the other side.

"Oh right, congratulations on your win in the Alchemy tournament, brother," Long Huan spoke up when no one else was. "I have watched the whole thing from start to end maybe 3 times now, and I am still surprised by what you've managed to achieve."

"Thank you."

"Although it didn't mean much," Liz said with an annoyed expression on her face. "All because of those—"

"Mom!" Hannah quickly cut her off.

Liz crossed her arms before letting out a short harrumph. "I don't understand how they could possibly know I've said anything about them. As long as you all say nothing, it should be fine."

Alex held a strange expression as he watched the two. It was clear that the knowledge of gods being able to tell when one was speaking about them had been passed along here as well.

By now, Alex was more or less certain that this had to be a hoax of some sort, or a great misunderstanding at the very least. Gods were just regular cultivators after all, so they had no way to do the things that other cultivators couldn't.

If one had to fear gods, then they would have to fear every strong cultivator.

Because of that, Alex now fully believed that gods were simply not able to do what most believed them to be able to do.

That being said, Half-Gods were a completely different issue. It was very possible that these were the only ones who could do such a thing, and that mere fact had been blown out of proportion to be assigned to every other god as well.

For that reason alone, Alex didn't clear their misunderstanding. If being under the wrong impression kept them from talking about any gods in general, he would be fine with that.

"How was Hell like?" Graham asked. "The Hell we grew up hearing about was supposedly a place far too hot for anyone to live in."

"It's a close enough description of the place," Alex said. "It's a mostly desert world with excess Yang aura and beasts with Immortal or Divine-grade body cultivation roaming around everywhere. And what's worse, there is absolutely no Qi above True Qi at all."

"Really?" Liz asked. "So we would just die if we went there?"

Alex nodded. "I wouldn't advise going there if I were you," he said with a laugh.

"I wasn't planning to," Liz said.

"And senior here is from Hell?" Helen asked as she turned toward Battlesage.

"Ahem," the old man cleared his throat. "Yes. I am indeed from Hell. I was born there and have lived for the past many hundred thousand years."

Everyone who heard it for the first time had their jaws drop wide open as they looked toward Battlesage.

"Many hundred thousand years?" Helen asked. "Are you older than the Sky God by any chance?"

"He might even be older than the Sky God's master," Alex said. "Hell has no Heaven to put one through Immortal Tribulation, so one can just live out their life as an Immortal forever."

"Woah!"

"Hell sounds somehow horrible and great at the same time," Liz said.

"Giant monsters that can easily kill you? No thank you," Long Huan said.

"Giant mindless monsters," Alex corrected him.

"How does that change things?" Long Huan asked.

"Depending on how you look at it, it does. If your intention is to avoid it, then you're in bad luck. It will attack you," Alex said. "However, if your intention is to fight it, then you are in luck, because it is mindless and thus has absolutely no method to its fighting style. It's just a wild beast."

Long Huan didn't know what to say. "I don't think that really matters in the end. If I come across it and I don't have any Qi, aren't I just dead?"

"Most people in Hell have body cultivation, which is how they survive," Alex explained.

"That's not us though," Long Huan said. "Only Uncle Graham can survive in that case."

Alex grinned. "Not necessarily," he said as he reached into his Soul Space and brought out something, placing it on the floor for everyone to see.

What he brought out was a jar full of a muddy, viscous liquid that no one could immediately recognize.

"What's that?" Ronron asked. "Some sort of honey?"

"No. This is something the people of Hell call Elixir. It's a sort of tree sap that you can only exclusively find in Hell," Alex said.

"So maple syrup instead of honey," Helen said.

"This isn't sweet. In fact, it's quite muddy in taste. But don't let that fool you. This is easily the greatest elixir you will ever consume."

The entire room grew curious as they looked at it. Even Hao Ya had no idea what it was at all.

"Enough of the suspense. Just tell us what it does," Hannah said.

Alex nodded. "You can eat this elixir to improve your body cultivation," he said.

"Improve body cultivation?" Long Huan asked with no small degree of surprise in his voice. "We don't have to get hurt at all?"

"No," Alex said, happy to see them realize just how incredible this was. "You just have to eat it."
