Chapter 3501: In the Control Hub
Chapter 3501: In the Control Hub
Alex was quite interested in this spatial wall they had hit, but this was not the time to find out. There were about 2 minutes— perhaps not even that— before they reached his master.
He had to work quickly.
“Be careful,” the man said. “It’s unclear which of the formations have been cut apart and which haven’t. Any of it could easily explode on you, and it has enough power to kill you.”
Alex nodded. “Thank you.”
He approached alone and slowly entered the room. Inside, he could see multiple formation nodes working silently, with many Divine-grade spirit stones scattered around.
Multiple barriers were set up around all of these formation arrays, each one protecting them from being tampered with, whether on purpose or by accident.
“Which one is the one for the spatial barrier?” Alex asked the man.
“All the spatial formations are at the end of the room to the right,” the man said.
Alex’s senses reached the place, and he noticed a formation running continuously.
“And the one to control the ship’s speed?” Alex asked.
“Right next to you on the left.”
Alex turned, seeing a pile of metal. There was no formation there. Nothing could be controlled.
“Well, that’s annoying,” Alex said softly.
“I barely managed to change the course to the Sacred Lotus Dominion, which was when the spirit stone working within the formation exploded. I lost both my arms back then.”
“I see…” Alex said, realizing the situation. What would happen if he were to be involved in such an explosion?
Bigshell was in the Divine Manifestation realm, and considering his name, Alex could guess that he had strong defenses. Unless he was truly caught off guard, he should have been able to block most of the damage.
And yet, his arms were blown off.
’Could it kill me?’
Alex could currently come back from a single drop of blood, so long as his Connection with the blood wasn’t erased. At the same time, he could also come back from having just a soul, so long as the soul survived.
At the third stage of the Undying Physique, he was damn near immortal— the true kind. However, if someone could kill him with a technique or power so strong that it destroyed all of his body and soul in a single moment, he would die.
A Divinity like the Sky God’s soldier didn’t have that sort of strength, but something like this? He couldn’t take the chance.
Alex quickly cut off his arm and tossed it outside the room. Bigshell caught it with a panicked look on his face.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
Alex’s self-maiming had caught him off guard.
“Could you hold on to that arm, please? It’s insurance,” Alex said, explaining no further.
His left arm was now cut off, and while no blood dripped from it, it didn’t heal. So long as he didn’t heal his arm, the Connection to the severed arm would remain, and he could recover from the single limb even if everything else were destroyed.
Alex finally felt safe approaching the spatial formations.
Still, he used his Yang aura to hide his presence just in case and fully utilized his Demon Eyes to see everything in different ways.
He floated over to the barrier that hid the spatial formations and looked from outside. There were two formations inside, each stacked next to the other.
It was an interesting setup that Alex couldn’t immediately understand. At the moment, all he could tell was that one of the formations was active, and it was most likely the one maintaining the barrier around the ship.
Divine-grade formations were incredibly complex, and this was more than one working together. Alex had to slow down time itself to read through it all, and he barely came back with the understanding that he was correct.
Even with time slowed, it had taken him over a minute to figure it out. With less than a minute remaining now, he needed to act immediately.
Without hesitation, he teleported through the barrier into the small confined space and pushed on the formation plate.
Alex expected the spirit stones working within it to explode, but they didn’t. What did happen was something he hadn’t foreseen.
The second formation, placed next to the first, suddenly came alive. Instantly, Alex felt a teleportation aura fill the entire room— and then the entire ship.
Alex didn’t even understand what was happening. All he knew was that he had to stop it. Without hesitation, he kicked the formation.
BOOM!

The Beast God and the rest watched from the sidelines as the ship approached. The Wine God had been observing through his artifact, and he hadn’t seen a single person leave the ship yet.
“They’re nearly here,” Flamestrider said in a solemn tone. “Are junior brother and sister still inside?”
The Beast God nodded with a grim look on her face. “Nothing has changed. They’re still there.”
At the speed they were approaching, they would soon collide with Bladedance in less than half a minute. At this point, they were all likely going to die.
“Huh?”
“What was that?”
“What just happened?”
Just then, something had occurred that not a single one of them had expected.

Bladedance watched the ship approach. Unlike the others, she wasn’t worried about anyone on the ship at all. Her disciple knew what he had to do.
Even if it meant revealing the size of his Soul Space, he would take them into it. He likely already had. Still, to give him time, she waited until the final moment.
As the ship approached with its illogical speed, she gripped her sword tightly and poured her Qi and Sword Aura into it.
Having reached One with the Sword long ago, she brought out everything she had.
However, long before she could attack, the ship suddenly vanished from before her.
“Huh?”
She looked around and finally noticed it.
The Cerulean Sparrow had teleported past her, and it was now much closer to the Sacred Lotus Dominion.
