Chapter 3400: Departure from the Beast Realms

Chapter 3400: Departure from the Beast Realms

The day of departure finally arrived.

Several beasts were gathered to see the leavetaking of the Sun God and his beasts.

Alex waved his hands as he said his goodbyes to everyone who was there to see him leave. It was still surreal that these beasts fully believed him to be the Sun God.

The ship they left in was controlled by Bai Fulin, with Bai Jingshen, the Patriarch, and Bai Yueming sitting on the deck along with Alex and the rest.

“How do you feel now?” Bai Jingshen whispered. “Have there been any more changes?”

Alex shook his head. “Not that much.”

Over the past two days, the stream of energy that was flowing into him constantly fluctuated up and down, as if someone stood on the other side controlling the valve.

He had talked to Bai Jingshen about it, asking what could have led to this situation. Bai Jingshen had no answer, but he did have a suspicion.

It had something to do with people knowing he was the Sun God.

Alex couldn’t see how that alone could’ve led to such a drastic change. People had known he was the Sun God back when his identity was revealed by Yueming. It wasn’t until he proved it that he started gaining this energy.

Which then led him to another conclusion.

It wasn’t that people knew he was the Sun God, but rather that they believed he was the Sun God. That was important.

Over the next two days, that belief had to have spread as news of what he had accomplished spread as well. With that, the stream of energy had increased a lot more compared to the first day.

After much fluctuation, it was now more or less steady at around two and a half times the rate compared to the start.

Alex could only wonder if it would change in the future, maybe grow some more.

He had no idea what people believing him to be the Sun God had to do with being a Child of Heaven, but he was willing to use every second of it.

The only issue he had was that he didn’t know how he was going to use the energy within him. Unlike the Sun God’s energy, it didn’t seem to work all on its own, at least not as simply as the other one did.

He also didn’t have enough energy to do many experiments, so he would have to wait a while before he could know the limits of his new energy.

Arrival at the western shores of the Black and White Continent took next to no time. When they arrived, Alex was surprised to find a whole host of beasts gathered there even before they had arrived.

All three of the other Patriarchs and Matriarchs were present, except for the Tortoise Matriarch, along with a few different beasts that were no doubt Celestials.

Alongside them were Scarlet’s mother and grandfather.

Scarlet appeared out of the Soul Space in her human form and went to meet her family, while Alex and the rest gathered around the Celestials.

As he arrived before them, each one of the Celestials stared at him with a look of surprise. The urge to worship Alex was subtle enough that they could ignore it if they wished, but the fact that it was there was a sign of the truth that they had always only known about until now.

Alex was the Sun God.

“Sun God!” the beasts said, immediately bowing down.

Alex was about to ask them to raise their heads when he felt a change in his body. The stream flowing within him fluctuated again, growing ever so slightly stronger in that moment.

The change was sudden enough that Alex could only imagine the cause for it being nothing other than the Celestials before him.

Had their acknowledgment of him as the Sun God given him a boost in the energy?

If that were the case, should he go around claiming himself to be the Sun God? It wasn’t necessarily a bad idea, but he would have to prove it to others, and that might be difficult since he no longer had the Sun God’s energy.

Alex asked the Celestials to stand back up and spoke with them for a bit. A few of the Celestials wanted to come along with him for his protection, but Alex wasn’t sure he wanted a Celestial trailing him constantly since he would have a hard time hiding a few things.

Besides that, he already had his master to protect him. With Bladedance around, who would dare cause any trouble?

The beasts finally accepted and merely chatted with Alex while the Teleportation Formation was prepared.

A while later, Scarlet’s mother and grandfather came to talk to him.

“She is my only daughter. With my husband long dead, she is the only one I have. Please take care of her,” Feng Xianhei said.

“Don’t worry, Senior. While I am with her, Nuanhuo will be under no stress or pain. Not only that, she will grow to be a strong and independent Phoenix on her own, rivaling even your Progenitor herself. Just mark my words,” Alex said.

That was enough for the two.

Bai Jingshen finally came to talk to Alex.

“Honestly, it feels quite sudden. It’s only been two decades since you’ve come here and you’re already leaving again,” he said. “I had hoped to spend some more time with Pearl, but I can’t coddle him for too long. He has to sharpen his own claws now.”

Alex smiled. “Don’t worry, I will take good care of Pearl.”

Bai Jingshen laughed. “I’m not too worried about that. I know you will. Even without you, Pearl has grown enough to take care of himself,” he said. “It’s just… I remember the young cub from back when I met you in that carriage, and he’s grown so much now.”

The tiger turned toward Pearl in the distance, talking to the Azure Dragon Patriarch. “I just wonder how much he will grow after he is gone this time. How much stronger will he become? How much stronger will you become?”

Alex laughed slightly. “Only time will tell. All I can say is, we won’t ever stop improving.”

Bai Jingshen grinned. “Neither will I.”

He stepped away from Alex before turning to look back at him. “Good luck, Sun God. And don’t forget, my master’s tomb still awaits you.”

Alex nodded. “I’ll soon go see what the Godkiller has left behind for me.”

Pearl returned from his talk with the Azure Dragon Patriarch, having only briefly spoken to him. He took his human form, as that was what he would need on the other side. Scarlet walked to him too.

Whisker talked to Scarlet’s family and then to Bai Jingshen before finally arriving back with Alex and climbing onto his shoulders.

Together, they gathered atop the formation platform with no one but beasts present. All humans were forced to wait for the next teleportation cycle for Alex’s sake.

Alex looked back at the gathered beasts, most of whom were Celestials.

“Farewell,” he shouted. “Let us meet again in the future.”

Along with his words, the formation activated, taking him and the rest away.

Taking them back to the Human realms.
