Chapter 3338 A Quick Farewell

Alex could never tell if what Ray had just said was a lie or not, so the chance that the Celestials would ever find out was nearly none. Still, the Celestials showed some looks of doubt, as they could not sense the same thing from him as they could from Shumi.

“You are the Dragon Father and the Phoenix Mother?” the hippo asked with a look of shock. Even though he didn’t have any bloodline that made him a descendant of the Primordials, he still believed that all beasts were descended from these two beasts. As such, he felt that he was close to these two.

Alex nodded slowly. “That is correct,” he said. “Or more accurately, the power that the Dragon Father and the Phoenix Mother held before is what we now have. That makes us the same as them. However, if you are asking if we are the very same old gods, then no, that would be incorrect.”

“Oh…” the hippo’s eyes lowered slightly.

“If that is the case, then is it true that this trial was set up for the sake of you two becoming the new gods?” the massive, colorful butterfly that was the Radiant Queen asked.

“That is correct,” Shumi answered. “Only the two of us could have ever passed these trials, so they were meant for only us. Anyone else would have failed.”

“Well, that’s not the only way,” one of the Whitehead Monkeys said. “You could also do what we did and skip the trials to directly come here.”

“Is that so?” Alex asked, turning to look toward Ray. “Just scare him.”

The Monkey’s face scrunched up in confusion for a moment before he felt a power surrounding him that made him shake to his core. Instantly, he moved away from the island, arriving dozens of kilometers away. Only then did the feeling vanish.

“You may return,” Ray’s voice appeared right next to him as if he hadn’t left, despite him moving dozens of kilometers away. He couldn’t even sense him at all. If he were to be attacked in this way…

He shivered at the thought.

The Whitehead Monkey’s eyes were still wide when he arrived back at the island. The other Celestials asked what had happened, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he was even more surprised that not a single one of them had noticed anything at all.

He gulped a little, turning back toward the other Whitehead Monkey before slowly shaking his head, warning him from trying anything at

all.

“Allow me to introduce you all to my friend here,” Alex said. “This is the trial master that you may have heard about. He is also the remnant of what once used to be the Three-Legged Crow.”

“The Primordial?” the Cedar King asked with a look of surprise. Everyone’s eyes turned toward the bird, especially the Vermilion Bird Celestial, who had never thought that she would get to meet one of their ancestors here.

Ray said nothing, remaining prideful and aloof.

Alex smiled. “The reason you all got to skip the trial and come straight to the island is because he was given strict orders to not kill you all. Otherwise, death would’ve likely been the only thing that awaited you.”

No one dared not believe Alex in that moment. The chances that any one of them could fight a Primordial, even just a remnant, was extremely low.

“Young man,” the White Tiger patriarch spoke up finally. “We came here to check on you and help you receive any inheritance you may have yet to receive.”

Alex gave a thoughtful bow. “Thank you for considering my situation, seniors, but I am fine. I have received all of my inheritances,” he said.

“I still need some time to digest it all, so if you don’t mind, please return to where you came from.”

The snake matriarch hesitated. “Are you certain?” she asked. “If you wish for it, we can wait and guard while you are finished with what you can do here. Besides, we can’t just leave even if you ask us to. We will have to wait until the teleportation formations are activated again.”

Alex paused for a bit, looking toward Shumi. “What do you think?” he asked.

Shumi hardly needed to think of anything at all. She just knew what needed to be done.

“Undo the teleportation suppression,” she told Ray. “Let the people teleport out of this world if they wish to.”

Alex narrowed his eyes a little, considering her order. He thought of reasons why the teleportation suppression should still stay active. Considering thirteen Celestials had already made it here, there was no point in keeping the teleportation suppression active. There wasn’t that much time they were going to stay there either.

Alex nodded in the end, giving Ray the order.

Ray blurred for a second before reforming. When he did, the suppression around teleportation was gone from the entire world.

“People can start teleporting in and around the world now,” Alex said. “They can teleport out of it as well. Feel free to leave.”

The Celestials were surprised. The main issue they had initially come to deal with had been solved just like that. They could all teleport in

and out as they wished now.

“Then… we shall leave,” the snake matriarch said.

The others made similar comments, even though it was clear that

they didn’t wish to leave immediately.

“If you can do us a favor, please don’t let anyone come here

afterward,” Alex said. “He will still be guarding us while we finish what

we’re doing here, and it will be unfortunate if the other beasts were to

die for no reason at all.”

The Celestials nodded, agreeing to their demand.

Shumi stared at the group as they left and spoke up.

“Heavenly Beasts!” she shouted.

The six Heavenly Beasts all stopped in their tracks and turned around.

“The day of your vow draws close. Prepare for when the Architect’s

design shall take flight. Very soon, the world will need you all.”

The Heavenly Beasts stared at her with wide eyes for a long time, as someone had finally spoken to them about their vows.
