Chapter 3335 A New Situation

Chapter 3335 A New Situation

It had been seven years since Pearl started absorbing aura for his Creations. Each day was busy for him as he strove to completely absorb everything in the time it took for Alex and the rest to come out of the central region of the Talon.

The Talon still worked the same as always, taking people into the core and back out. He had also heard about people who had gotten far into the Talon, with the furthest anyone had reached being the Ninth Trial.

No one could cross the trial with the fire birds that appeared directly in their Soul Space. It was a terrifying matter.

The rewards were also beginning to become public. Some received special crystals, some received raw metal ores. Some received rare plants, and some received feathers and scales of various beasts. Some even received the beast cores of previously dead beasts as rewards.

No one truly knew what reward there was for someone who made it all the way to the final trial.

Pearl had no reason to care about the trial since no one could ever truly reach the center, so he busied himself with his own task.

Or so he had thought, until one certain day when the entire world of Sun’s Talon was thrown into chaos by a piece of news.

Multiple Beast Celestials were gathering in one spot, ready to charge into the heart of the Trial to understand what was going on there.

Pearl wasn’t sure who the Celestials were or how long they had been planning this, but he knew his brother needed to know as soon as possible.

So, without thinking much, he left his courtyard to head over to the edge of Blackland City, where the island was said to arrive in half a day.

Half a day later, Pearl saw the island move to the shore and many beasts get off it. Many other beasts got onto it as well, and so did Pearl.

Pearl hesitated at first, wondering how Ray would handle him being there, as this was his second time around and that was against the rules. Thankfully, Ray didn’t seem to be forced to stick to them.

Ray’s voice flowed into Pearl’s ears just before the island was to leave.

“Do you wish to return to master?” Ray asked him.

Pearl thought for a moment. “No,” he said softly. “I just need you to take a message to master.”

Ray waited for Pearl to continue.

“Multiple Celestials are apparently gathering, ready to make their way to the center of the trial. I know you said that you were strong enough to fight off a Celestial, but I don’t know how you can fare against many of them at once. Even more, I don’t know if it will be a good idea to kill them in the first place. Tell brother of this news and help him be prepared, just in case.”

Ray remained silent for a brief moment before accepting Pearl’s words.

He then appeared as a massive bird, the master of the trial, and spoke out loud in an authoritative voice.

“Those who have taken this trial before are not allowed. Leave if you do not wish to be killed!” he shouted.

Pearl gave the faintest of smiles before leaving the island and walking back onto the shore, where Bai Jingshen had been waiting for him. Together, they returned to their courtyard.

“Master!”

Ray appeared in a burst of flames, still massive as always.

Alex had been in the middle of absorbing the Sun when he appeared. He stopped and moved out of the barrier, looking at Ray.

“Is something wrong?” he asked, realizing that the crow wouldn’t have stopped him unless something needed his attention.

“The young White Tiger just informed me of Celestials gathering outside the Talon, preparing to come here. What do you think I

should do?” Ray asked.

Alex narrowed his eyes. “You can defeat a Celestial, right?”

The crow nodded in affirmation.

“What about multiple ones? Did Pearl say how many were coming?”

“The young tiger didn’t mention a number, not that it matters how many come. Should they come here, I can defeat every single one of them,” the crow said in a proud voice. “However, that comes with its own issues.”

“Issues? What sort?”

Ray hesitated. “If it was just a single Celestial, then it would be fine, but if there are multiple ones, our battle would wreak havoc on this world. The power required to defeat Celestials would be so high that I can’t even imagine it just yet. It would be tantamount to a cataclysm for this world.”

“Even if I don’t fight all of them, if even a single one has solidified their Firmament, then it could destroy the Heaven, which too would be cataclysmic for this world. The trial would survive even in that case, but the rest of it would not.”

Alex narrowed his eyes. “Solidifying their Firmament? What does that

mean?”

Ray narrowed his eyes for a moment. “Divinities have to form an Axiom in order to become a Celestial. An Axiom is-“

“I know what an Axiom is. I have one myself,” Alex quickly said.

The crow blinked for a moment. “Really?” he asked in disbelief.

“Yes. Now what’s a Firmament?”

“It’s an Axiom, but more expansive. A Firmament is to an Axiom what a Domain is to a Creation.”

Alex took a while to wrap his head around those words before slowly

nodding. “I see.”

“What do you think I should do?” Ray asked.

Alex looked away for a moment. “Give me some time to think. Let me

know the moment they enter,” he said.

Ray nodded and disappeared, leaving Alex to think of a way out of the

situation.
