Chapter 3084 Revisit
Chapter 3084 Revisit
Bringing himself out of his thoughts, Alex looked down at the sword in his hand.
“You should have a name, but I will hold off on it until I reforge your actual body,” Alex said. “In the meantime, please just accept me calling you Midnight.”
The sword hummed with reluctant approval.
Alex chuckled. “Don’t worry. It won’t be long before you gain a proper name.”
Even as he said that, Alex was already beginning to worry about how he was going to achieve any of that. Just the fact that the metal could only be melted with intense heat made it impossible to forge easily.
Even with True Fire Dao, he could not produce such intense heat as he didn’t have the Qi or the Intent to do so. The Heavens wouldn’t provide him with such heat when he couldn’t do so himself.
‘Maybe I can find Lady Shen, he thought. ‘She can help me. She should know how it’s done, or I could tell her!
Considering the Golden Dao realm was where she was, it would be a while before he went there. It was just inconveniently out of his way and would most likely force him to take a different path on his way to Godkiller’s tomb.
Unless he could find a way to get to her faster, it would take over a millennia.
‘Maybe the Sky God could call her?’ he thought, his mind going back to the woman with green hair, eyes of silver and emerald. She looked so much like Ronron, except a little older.
It had been nearly 250 thousand years since the memory of her, so she had to have grown older by now. He wondered how she looked
now.
His thoughts were in disarray after such a long memory of the Artifact God’s past. He needed some time to process it all. So, he sat down and began cultivating.
As Alex calmed down and thought about things in proper order, the very first thing he focused on was the inheritance itself. And yet, he couldn’t help but laugh out loud when he realized that it wasn’t such a simple inheritance.
It wasn’t as easy as the Alchemy God’s inheritance that gave everything to him on a golden platter. The “inheritance” here was the vast array of knowledge the Artifact God had gathered throughout his years, so to learn it all, he would have to go through those memories bit by bit until he learned everything.
That would certainly take some time, but he was far from worried since those memories would always be there for him to look back on.
He had seen some interesting things in his memories, one of which was the changing of names of the various realms.
The Shadow Manifold Realm had changed to Fiend’s Sanctuary, which was one of the realms that one could teleport to from the Myriad Spirit Realm.
The Five Elements Realm had been renamed to the Formation Monarch’s Realm.
Even the Medicine World had a renaming, albeit a very subtle one that he hadn’t caught the first time around. There were instances in his earlier memories where it was referred to as Medicine Heaven, but people gradually called it that less and less.
As he went through the memories, he came to the moment where the Fiend had killed the Undying God.
“That was the third Undying God, Alex thought, recalling each of the eight Undying Gods that came before him. ‘He should have already set up the inheritance by then, since the next Undying God was a healer. Did he know he was going to die?’
The Undying Gods’ memories were barely a babbling brook before the ocean that was the Artifact God’s memories. There wasn’t much for him to remember there, except some key information.
“The fourth Undying God was a healer, and the fifth was a madman who couldn’t handle the memories that came with the inheritance. So the one that had appeared a hundred thousand years later had to be the sixth Undying God!
The sixth Undying God was a thief who had stolen the fifth’s memories and thus his inheritance. But after the inheritance, he had turned noble and joined the fight.
‘What happened to him?’ Alex wondered. Would the beasts have any idea, or should he wait until he went back to the human worlds? The Undying Physique could only be owned by a single person at a time as the inheritance was connected to them. So, even if the sixth Undying God was alive, he wouldn’t have the physique.
However, given how the humans had ended up winning in the end, they had to have killed him at some point. It could even entirely be that the Slayers were involved.
‘The Slayers, Alex thought with a frown. In his memories, they were just starting out as an organization of greedy and selfish individuals. However, over two hundred thousand years had passed since then. He could only imagine how many more had joined them in that time and how much they had grown.
As far as Alex knew, there were already two high-level members of that group at the peak of what they did.
Purplerain was a Sword God, and the woman who had called him a destroyer was the head of the Fateseekers, according to Bladedance. If they had managed to climb that high, how high had the others climbed?
They were even able to trap Bladedance in Hell without a single other
soul finding out the truth. Alex could barely begin to imagine what he was even up against.
As he thought of the Slayers, his mind went to the Death Sage. Alex had an understanding from previous conversations with Godslayer that the Death Sage had to be a man, but he could not see him at all.
His memory was one that was hard to focus on, like trying to see one’s reflection on a pond through the ripples. Everything about him was… wrong.
‘I wonder why he’s like that,’ Alex wondered for a while before coming to the conclusion that it was just something that the Artifact God had lost while merging with the spirit.
Assuming as much, Alex continued through the memories, going through them once again.
