Chapter 3029: Aura from the Auraless
Chapter 3029: Aura from the Auraless
Alex felt lightheaded.
Not in a way that he was sick, but rather literally lightheaded. He felt relieved from a small burden he had been holding onto for a long time, his mind feeling more refreshed than ever.
That was bound to happen after he let go of over 2,300 beasts in his Soul Space that were constantly exerting their free will on it. The mere act of thinking alone would’ve been enough for someone else in his place to feel the burden inside.
With 2,300 beasts, regardless of their cultivation base, it was bound to have produced some sort of effect.
Now that he was rid of the beasts, he felt more awake, more focused in every thought he had.
How had he never known he was missing this much from his life? And still, there were so many more to get rid of.
There were hundreds of humans still inside of him that he needed to find a place for, followed by the two main things that he imagined were responsible for most of the burden.
The Nine Yang Divine Tree and the World Tree.
But it would take some time before he could find a place for those trees to move to. At the very least, he couldn’t do that before meeting the Sky God and learning more about what he was to do with those treasures.
Bai Jingshen sat next to him on a ship on the way back. They were an hour or so away from the place where the teleportation formation was to lead back to the White Tiger’s place, so they had some time to kill.
“I found some Creations for you,” he said. “Would you like to hear about them?”
Alex raised an eyebrow as he turned to look at the beast. “Please, continue.”
“Just to confirm, you don’t want a Beast Creation, is that correct?” he asked.
“No transformation Creations,” Alex said. “I have the Blood Devil already, and that’s enough of a transformation for me.”
“The thing that makes you go mad?” Bai Jingshen asked.
“Well… I have to train and improve my mental state when using that,” Alex said with an awkward smile. “But, tell me more about the Creations.”
“Well, since you don’t want any Beast Creations, what about a Plant Creation? Especially a poison one?” he asked. “In the Poison Wave Island and Venomforth Island, there grows a plant by the name of Seven-Heart Demonic Poison Tree.”
“A divine tree?” Alex asked with some surprise. It was more of a climber than a tree, whose flower buds were said to have enough poison to kill a city.
That was not a bad choice. He didn’t have to go for the tree itself, but rather just the flower bud, and even if he didn’t get the entire thing as his Creation, whatever he did get would still be quite poisonous.
However, he wasn’t into poisoning people. If he wanted to poison them, he would just feed them a poison pill or use a pill that exploded into a poisonous mist.
“Do you like it?” Bai Jingshen asked.
Alex didn’t answer immediately. “What else do you have?” he asked, waiting to hear the next few ideas.
The next suggestion was that of an artifact. Bai Jingshen had found a great technique that could extract close to perfect aura from any artifact, which would allow a person to turn it into their Creation with great efficacy.
Again, Alex wasn’t sure if he wanted that or not.
He asked Bai Jingshen to continue on, which he did. He gave several suggestions, including some alchemy fires. But as someone who had rejected the Vermilion Bird Progenitor’s Phoenix Flames, no other flames could catch his eye.
Bai Jingshen suggested a few more Creations, but Alex liked none of them. The poison one was perhaps the best Bai Jingshen had, but Alex wasn’t sure if he wanted it.
Poison was more of Momo’s thing after all.
“Well, if Creations won’t work, then I have a few techniques for you,” Bai Jingshen said. “There are ways to turn talismans into aura, to turn formations into aura, to turn even techniques into aura. There are even ways to turn something that is generally without aura into aura.”
Alex heard Bai Jingshen’s words, nodding along. But then, his nods froze as he suddenly had an idea.
“Sorry, did you say there was a technique to turn something without aura into aura?” he asked.
“Yes. It’s one of the better techniques I found,” Bai Jingshen said. “Why? Are you interested?”
“Quite,” Alex said, feeling a little excited.
He excused himself for a moment, pulling himself back into his Spiritual Sea. There, he looked at the one Origin singled out by the Yellow Fog that surrounded it.
He wasn’t looking at the Origin, but rather the Yellow Fog itself.
The thing had no aura, at least none to Alex’s senses. But if he were to use what Bai Jingshen had said, then… could he draw an aura out of the Yellow Fog?
That was a fascinating thought.
He had almost immediately given up on the idea of turning the Yellow Fog into a Creation due to its lack of aura. But now, maybe, there was a chance.
Alex made sure he could use the Yellow Fog first before he tried to draw its aura. He produced some from underneath the water in his Spiritual Sea, half the amount from usual as the other half still surrounded the last Origin.
“Hmm, would that be a problem?” he wondered.
The amount should not be a problem, so long as the potency of the fog itself hadn’t lowered. And from what he could tell, it was still just as strong.
Alex came back out of his Spiritual Sea a while later, asking Bai Jingshen for the method to draw aura from something that generally had no aura.
Bai Jingshen nodded with a gladdened expression. At least some part of his research had ended up being helpful.
“I’ll get it to you soon,” he said. “As soon as you’re done with your upcoming thing.”
