Chapter 2932: Bladedance’s Tribulation

Chapter 2932: Bladedance’s Tribulation

Battlesage felt the force of the 8th tribulation lightning strike on his fist. His skin grew numb from the impact, a soft jolt passing through his entire body in that moment.

He flexed his fingers slightly, feeling the numbness fade away.

“It’s getting stronger,” he said softly. “But just one more.”

He waited for the final lightning bolt.

The sky rumbled a low growl and energy gathered at the center right above Battlesage. Then, the accumulation of those energies turned into a lightning bolt as it all struck down at him.

Battlesage balled his hand into a fist and struck up one last time.

The energy contained in the final tribulation lightning was strong, but not strong enough to deter Battlesage.

The fist met the lightning bolt and the world went silent for Battlesage. Sparks of white and black filled his vision for a moment, blinding everything. A numbness filled his right fist with the remainder of his arm in a dull ache.

It took a moment for his vision to clear and he saw a wound left behind on the back of his fingers, blood dripping out the side. The strength behind the last lightning bolt had been rather strong.

But, just as he had guessed, not strong enough.

The mere wound on his fist was the only thing Battlesage felt on his fist.

The silence turned to a ringing in his ear that then went away, leading to voices he could hear from a distance.

“Sit down!” the voice came, which Battlesage could somewhat tell belonged to Bladedance. He turned around, looking for her in the flying vessel far away.

“You need to cultivate,” Bladedance said. “Sit down. Don’t miss the opportunity.”

Only then did Battlesage realize what he was being told and quickly sat down to make full use of the Qi that was provided to him.

Bladedance sighed in the distance, shaking her head at the old man who was going to let such an opportunity go away without doing anything.

The White Tiger walked by. “Will you be going for it next, senior?” he asked.

“In a moment. I’ll give him some time to cultivate in peace,” she said. Although, she knew herself she couldn’t give him much time. At most, she could give him a few hours.

She didn’t have much time herself, so she had to go through her own tribulations and then cultivate using those energies as well. She had to heal up and then cultivate even more.

By the time she was done, enough time would have passed that she couldn’t have the time to stay in this world for any longer than a week at best. She would have to leave not long afterward.

Alex waited by the side for the old man to cultivate. He could see the energy gathered in his surroundings, a mass of aura that lingered around the old man, waiting for him to collect it all.

The Land of the Blessed Sun was thick with Qi to begin with, but the region around the old man was much thicker, which was proof of what Bladedance had told him earlier. People went through tribulation lightnings in order to advance their cultivation base.

Alex wondered how long it would be before he would need to do such a thing.

The group remained in silence for a few hours before Bladedance stood. “I’ll be going now,” she said and headed toward the mountain.

Battlesage woke up upon her arrival and left the place, flying back toward the vessel.

Alex turned toward the old man as he arrived. “Do you need any healing pills?” he asked.

Battlesage looked at his fist that was more or less healed by now. “No, I’m good. Save those.”

Alex nodded.

They all turned toward Bladedance now, each one of them, including the tiger, looking forward to what was going to happen. The tiger moved the vessel even further back since these lightning bolts would no doubt be much stronger than what any of them were used to seeing.

Bladedance took a deep breath, prepping one last time, before she gave her consent.

The heaven roared and pitch-black clouds gathered in the sky in an instant, as though there was something opaque above them that had blotted out the sky.

Bright white lightning crackled around in the sky as the energy of the world slowly gathered above her.

An Immortal Tribulation of this degree was something that could not go unnoticed to the many strong individuals of this world.

Around the realm, the other three clan patriarchs and the monarchs of the other four continents immediately began sending out individuals to figure out whatever it was that was happening.

Only the White Tigers knew of this beforehand, and even then they were surprised by what they were sensing.

Alex sensed the strength of the energy gathered in the sky and found his senses to be completely incapable of figuring out anything in regards to the strength.

Such a thing was far beyond the scope of what an Immortal Origin realm cultivator could do. At that moment, all he could really do was let his mouth fall agape and watch as the clouds swallowed the energy of the world and turned it all into a single bolt of lightning.

The first lightning bolt struck down.

Bladedance held her Creation in her hands and struck upward. The sword met the lightning bolt and all that came out of it was an explosion that shook the entire mountain range with its aftershock.

Alex felt the shockwave pass through him, feeling the bones in his body croak from the force.

“Oh, we need to get further away,” the White Tiger said, swiftly moving them back.

Even so, Alex’s eyes remained latched onto the sight of his master standing fully unharmed against the might of the lightning bolt that fell down upon her.

Alex’s eyes lingered on his master for a moment before they traced the path left behind by the lightning bolt all the way up to the sky.

The strength of the tribulation lightning surprised him enough that Alex ended up considering something that felt so incredibly stupid and yet so incredibly genius at the same time.

Could the Tribulation Lightning become a Creation?
