Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2896: Use What I’m Good At

Chapter 2896: Use What I’m Good At

“What is this?” the Guardian Tiger asked with a curious expression. “A pill you humans make?”

“No, this is not a pill,” Alex quickly said, looking down at the blood core in his hand. He had never even considered it to look anything like a pill. However, now that he was thinking about it, in a way, it was.

The formation of the blood core was an alchemy where the ingredients were a beast core and his own blood. He was surprised he had never seen it that way.

“What is it then?” the Guardian Tiger asked.

“It’s a blood beast,” Alex said. “Something I create using my blood and a beast core. It’s the thing I asked you about the last time I came here.”

“Oh, I’ve seen these things through her eyes,” the Guardian Tiger said. “Aren’t they usually in the form of a beast?”

Alex let the blood core come to life as it morphed into a beast of blood and sun, taking on the shape of a wolf.

“Do you require my assistance, ma—” the wolf’s voice caught as it looked around in a seeming panic. A regular blood beast would not have been this scared, but this one had intelligence. While that came with some other benefits, it came with some downsides as well.

“Oh!” the Guardian Tiger said, slowly walking toward the wolf, walking around it as he judged it.

The wolf remained absolutely still, afraid to move a single muscle.

“You used an Immortal beast core as I asked, and you used a Yang imprint too,” the tiger said. “Have you managed to make it grow too? I believe that was your main priority.”

“I used all the methods you gave me, senior,” Alex said. “The only one that showed promise was my use of Intent to force the beast to grow. But the improvement was far too weak. I fear that may have been due to my own Intent being so much weaker than the beasts I have managed to form.”

“There is no doubt your Intent will have to be strong for it,” the Tiger said. “A strong Intent is everything.”

Alex nodded. However, that wasn’t going to work. Throughout the past half a century that he had spent on this matter, every attempt at making the blood core have the capacity to become stronger had ended up with very minor changes.

To have any sort of major change, he would need a truly strong Intent. However, at that point, was it even worth it?

“You will have to wait a while to gain an Intent this strong,” the Tiger said. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be of much help.”

“No, senior. You’ve been of great help. I could not have reached this stage without you,” Alex said. “And besides, you’ve given me a new idea.”

“A new idea?” the Tiger asked.

Alex nodded. “I’ve been thinking about it all wrong. I should’ve been using what I’m good at to my advantage all this time.”

“What do you mean?” the Tiger asked.

Alex took back the wolf, turning it back into a core. “You said this looked like a pill,” he said. “Well, I’m an alchemist. I’m sure I can find something to work with.”

The Tiger seemed surprised. “I can’t say I understand what you mean, but good luck.”

“I don’t understand it myself either. For now, I just see a path. I’ll have to walk down it to understand more. When I do, I’m sure I’ll succeed.”

The Tiger smiled.

After saying his farewell, Alex and the rest came out of the barriers and out into the desert.

Alex threw the core out, which turned into a wolf blood beast again.

The wolf looked around with some apprehension before turning toward Alex. “What may I help you with, master?”

“I must ask you something selfish,” Alex said. “The ones you met before need an agent on the outside who can perform their wishes. I want you to be their agent.”

“It is not selfish, master. I live to fulfill your wishes. I will do what you ask with utter happiness,” the wolf answered.

It was surprising to see the wolf be so content with living a life of servitude. He felt bad for it, but there was nothing he could do.

Once Alex confirmed that the wolf could receive commands from the tree and the tiger, he left the wolf in their care.

The wolf wouldn’t die so easily. It was just as strong as the strongest beast out there, and it didn’t tempt any other beasts to begin with. On top of that, should it get hurt, all it needed to heal was some blood and maybe some Yang aura.

It would help the tree and tiger forever.

Alex made his way out of the Core region, but he did not return to the Endless Night Sect just yet. He first needed to do something else.

With his senses free, he scanned his own body and sighed as he found the truth behind Whisker’s words. His body was in fact exuding a lot of heat. And what surprised Alex the most was that the heat he exuded wasn’t even regular heat as the aura didn’t match the Dao he recognized.

If he wasn’t wrong, this was likely what they called the Yang Heat, a property of Yang.

The last time Alex had fixed this issue, he had to consume the Yin bead. This time, there weren’t any other sources of Yin strong enough, so he would just have to improve the Yin bead and hope it worked.

The depths of Hell would be full of Yin soon as night began to fall, so Alex prepared to go down there as well.

All the other times, he had taken with him Sunhearts to fight the Yin. But this time, he would be looking for the exact opposite. This time, he yearned for the Yin.

“I’ll be back in a bit,” Alex said to his two companions and dove through sand, going back to the depths of Hell.
