Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2889: Freed Senses

Chapter 2889: Freed Senses

It became difficult to continue at one point, not because the pain was unbearable, but because the single hole that was opened was far too wide for Alex’s Intent to continue to open any more.

Alex fell into a push and pull with the seal for quite some time, the storm continuously raging in his mind. It became a war of attrition very quickly, which he was bound to lose.

He needed to combat it somehow, and his many battles with the Grand Elder came to his rescue.

If a battlefront entered a stage where neither party could advance, then the right thing to do was not to pour more soldiers there, but to attack them from a different side where the enemy was not defending.

Alex targeted the other side of the seal and opened a second hole. Immediately, the battle shifted in his favor, the seal becoming smaller and smaller.

Smaller, sadly, did not mean weaker.

The pain reached a point where Alex could not stand it anymore, and even so, he had to continue. Alex pushed and pushed, his face red with strain, his eyes bulging as he poured the entirety of his existing Spiritual energy into forming the Intent that attacked the seal.

The storm raged and raged, the chaotic sound no different than the laughter of the cluster of gods who threw him to Hell. Pain was not just what filled his mind now.

Anger did too. And unlike pain, anger was very much a fuel for him to push it even more.

Alex assaulted the seal from both sides, slowly whittling it down until it was a simple ring of thunder and lightning, surrounding his spiritual sea.

He was at his breaking point, his mind just a step before the abyss that he was going to fall to.

But he didn’t fear the abyss. He embraced it, in fact, knowing that should he do so, he would take the enemy down with him.

He took one step forward.

And then, it popped.

A single sound of a thunderclap rang in his ears, and then only silence reigned.

The pain was gone. The sound was gone.

The seal around his Spiritual Sea was now gone in its entirety.

Alex gasped, taking in hot air. He had forgotten to breathe for quite some time now.

“Are you okay?” he heard his master’s voice.

He looked up, and all that filled his vision was yellow. Vibrant, blinding yellow.

“What… what’s going…” he worried for a second, fearing something had immensely gone wrong with the seal breaking. But then, he realized what it must’ve been.

He calmed down and focused on his eyes, controlling it. The yellow faded, his eyes no longer seeing the Yang in the air. What was left was a vibrant red sand before him with bright silver shattering sky and a blue boundlessness beyond it.

Alex could see far away now with a clarity that had been lost to him for the past century. Finally, his Demon Eyes had been returned to him.

At the same time, Alex’s senses were stronger as well. Sharper. He could feel his spiritual sense become so much stronger as well that he struggled to believe those were his own senses.

It wasn’t just those senses either. Every other sense of his became much more acute as well. Smell, perception, hearing—everything was now much better without the restrictive seal that had been around him.

Seal of the Storm God, that he had now managed to destroy.

Alex sat stunned for a long time, reeling in shock at what he had done. He had gotten rid of a seal placed on him by an actual god? And it wasn’t just any god either, but one of the very few gods that were in the Celestial realm.

It would take him some time to fully process what he had done, but it was clear now that the Tree and Guardian Tiger were very much right about their information.

His improved body constitution was exactly what had allowed this to happen.

“I thought you would be needing me,” Bladedance said from the side, failing to hide her own shock. “I didn’t even need to do anything at all.”

“Thank you for staying by me, master,” Alex said quickly. “Would you check on me to see if I’ve missed something? Maybe the seal is still hiding somewhere.”

Bladedance nodded and sent her Divine Sense into Alex, scanning his Spiritual Sea from the outside.

“There’s no anomaly there that I can tell,” she said. “You are free.”

Alex smiled brightly. That was exactly what he had been hoping for.

“What now?” she asked. “You were waiting for this for some time, weren’t you?”

Alex thought for a bit. “I will rest for some time,” he said. “Once I’m rested, I shall attempt to remove my seal from my Soul Space as well.”

Bladedance nodded. “Will you be needing me?” she asked.

Alex thought for a bit and nodded. “While I’ve no doubt become much stronger now, I do not want to take any chances. I will be needing your help again, master.”

Bladedance did not argue. “Let me know when you require my help. I will be free anyway.”

Alex thanked Bladedance, letting her leave for now. He spent some time by himself, using his much more acute senses to sense everything about him and around him. He finally began noticing the changes surrounding his body.

One thing that had changed with his body constitution was the fact that his body seemed to reject outside aura from him constantly. It was a similar thing to when someone pressured him with their aura, and his body fought back.

Except, now his body fought back constantly, pushing any energy that didn’t belong to him away from him.

The Storm God’s seal was considered one such thing and was being pushed by his body, which was why this had become so easy.

’I see,’ Alex thought. He quite liked that change.

Seeing how useful it was, he prepared to get rid of the second seal as soon as he could.
