Chapter 2855: Good News for Pearl

Chapter 2855: Good News for Pearl

“I will try to get rid of these seals as soon as I can. When I’m done, I will come get your fruits and the seeds,” Alex told the tree, his hand pressed against its massive trunk.

“I wish you quick success,” the tree said.

Alex took his palm off the tree, now ready to leave.

Bladedance and the old man were already prepared to walk down to the shore, and the Guardian Tiger was ready to lead them as well.

“Young lady,” the Tiger suddenly said. “She wishes to talk with you.”

Bladedance raised her eyebrows. “The tree wants to talk with me?” she asked, moving forward.

“Press your palm against her trunk, and you will hear her,” the Primordial said.

Bladedance took a deep breath before doing as told.

Alex and the old man waited for just a few seconds before Bladedance took her arm away. She stood there for a few seconds, staring at the tree before walking away.

“That was short,” the old man said. “What did you guys talk about?”

“Nothing. Let’s go.”

She walked past the two without saying anything else.

“Let us leave,” the tiger said and walked away as well.

The three humans and one primordial spirit walked down the massive roots of the tree, slowly descending down to the sandy beach where the leaf waited for them yet again.

The surroundings had begun to grow darker once again, the sun going past the sliver of opening that allowed light to spill into this realm.

They climbed onto the leaf, and it began drifting away.

“How much Elixir did you collect?” the old man whispered to Alex.

“Quite a lot,” Alex answered. “How much did you collect?”

“I collected all I could find while you were gone. I think I have a few bucketfuls at the very least,” the old man said.

Alex wasn’t sure how much he had collected exactly. He had nothing he could collect the Elixir in, so he had simply started sending it directly to the Soul Space where Pearl and Memory could help keep it.

He hadn’t yet checked how much that was.

The seal around the Soul Space had formed again, so he opened it and looked inside. His senses reached Pearl and Memory, who were standing around, waiting for him.

“How much did I end up sending in the end?” he asked, looking around.

“I had to grow to my largest size, Master,” Memory answered. “It was quite a lot. I had to dump everything I had inside me just to make space.”

“Oh! That’s a lot,” Alex said. “Pearl, use a bit of it yourself and give some to the other two when they’re done cultivating. Also, I have some good news for you, Pearl.”

He waited for Pearl to ask him what it was before he revealed it, but Pearl didn’t ask anything at all.

“Pearl?” Alex called out again.

Pearl shook a little, quickly turning around. “Yes, brother? Did you say something?”

Alex frowned. “What’s wrong? You seem distracted.”

“Sorry, I just…”

Alex tried to search for what had gotten him so distracted when he noticed what he was holding.

Pearl held a single beast core in his hand, which made Alex wonder why he was distracted by that. But then, he remembered exactly what it was.

“Oh, where did you find it?” Alex asked.

“With Memory. It was among the other ingredients and items she was keeping away from the heat and yang,” Pearl said. “I hadn’t realized it was still around.”

The core belonged to Pearl’s father, Qing Tianchui, the Azure Dragon of the Eastern Continent.

Alex nodded. “You will need to keep that safe. When you’re ready, you can talk to your father.”

Pearl nodded. “I will. I wonder if I’ll be ready then.”

Alex smiled. “You’ll have to be. After all, it is…” His words trailed. “Uhh… hmm. Give me one second.”

Alex’s spiritual sense remained in his Soul Space, but his attention had moved elsewhere. Pearl paused for a while, wondering what he was doing.

A bit later, Alex finally returned.

“Pearl,” he said, his words barely hiding his emotion. He was happy. “I said I had good news for you, but it might be two good news instead.”

Pearl narrowed his eyes. “What are you talking about, brother?” he asked. “What news?”

“There may be a chance to bring your father back to life,” Alex said with an excited voice.

“Back… to life?” Pearl asked, the words sounding impossible to him. Something was going on here.

“Yes,” Alex said. “I confirmed with senior Tiger here just now, and he assured me that an Immortal’s beast core has a very good chance of forming into a Sun Wraith that is actually its own being and not a mindless thing.”

Pearl’s eyes slowly widened.

“R-really?” Pearl asked. “Can my father really come back to life?”

“Yes,” Alex said. “Of course, we’ll have to test around with other beasts first just to make sure it is possible, but senior here guarantees that it’s possible.”

Pearl clutched the core to his chest and began tearing up. “Thank you, brother. Thank you for this wonderful news.”

Alex smiled. “Keep it away for now and make sure it doesn’t accidentally get infected by the Sunhearts. We can’t start making it happen until we’re ready.”

Pearl nodded. “I will,” he said, placing the core into his Soul Space. He smiled, wiping his tears. “You said there was another piece of news? What is it?”

“Oh, this one is fantastic as well,” Alex said. “How many Origins do you have? Four, right?”

Pearl nodded. “I tried going for more, but the pain is unbearable. Four is all I can handle.”

“That’s great still,” Alex said. “I don’t know if you have anything you want to get as your Creation, but I have found one for you. Senior here gave me a part of his body for you to absorb the aura from. Once you’re ready, you will be able to form a Guardian Tiger as your Creation.”

Pearl took the information in with no less amount of shock than Alex had.

“I… am going to have a Primordial beast as my Creation?”
