Chapter 2849: Inside the Soul Space
Chapter 2849: Inside the Soul Space
“You wish to enter my Soul Space?” Alex asked.
“Yes,” the cub answered.
“Sadly, I don’t think that can be—” Alex paused. “You don’t have a Soul Space too, do you?”
The cub shook its head. “I am only a spirit. A spirit cannot have a Soul Space of its own,” it answered.
“I see. Then it may be possible for you to enter my Soul Space,” Alex said. “Let me open it for you.”
Bladedance stood on the side, not understanding the conversation. It made no sense to her why the cub was trying to enter Alex’s Soul Space. She could swear that he had misspoken earlier and said his bonded beast was in his Soul Space. Surely he was meaning to say the Beast Space.
And no one else could enter the Beast Space except the beast itself.
Her senses were still suppressed to her body, so she couldn’t get an understanding of what was happening.
All she could do in that moment was watch as the cub disappeared into Alex’s body.
Her eyes went wide. Had it really gone to his Soul Space?
She wanted to question, but Alex seemed fully concentrated at the moment, so she held off on asking anything else.
Alex was thankful that his spiritual sense could still work, albeit just within his body. It would’ve been troublesome if he couldn’t break through part of the seal.
It did mean that he had to place Godslayer in the dark again, but that was acceptable.
The cub had easily gone into his Soul Space, considering it had no physical size at all or took up any space that was blocked by the seal.
The cub arrived inside the Soul Space, in the vast dark emptiness, surrounded by nothing at all.
The cub had seen many things, but the size of this Soul Space had still surprised him.
“How did you do this?” it asked. “How did you make a Soul Space this big?”
“Space Stone,” Alex answered. “I accidentally consumed a large one and it both helped me learn Space aura and enlarged my Soul Space.”
“A Space Stone?” the cub asked. “Those little white things? Little Wu has a few of those as well, I think.”
“Little— the old man has Space Stones?” Alex asked in surprise. “Are you sure?”
“I’m pretty sure. You can ask him later,” the cub said. It moved around the Soul Space, taking in everything it could.
While the Soul Space was empty, there was the life aura that constantly hung around the place. The cub wondered if this aura was a manifestation of the Life Belt somehow.
’Well, Yang aura does contain the life aura, so maybe not,’ it thought.
The cub tried its best to not use its Intent in there, as that would hurt Alex’s soul. The Soul Space was connected to the soul deeply, so doing anything within the Soul Space directly led to the soul being hurt.
The cub continued on, led by Alex’s spiritual sense to arrive at the Demon realm that hung in the middle of the Soul Space like a miniature world encased in a glass dome.
Not much was visible from the outside as the spatial bubble made everything inside look fuzzy. But the cub could still see something bright on one side, which was perhaps a little too bright to be nothing.
It grew curious.
“Send me in.”
With Alex’s help, the cub flew into Soul Space and arrived in the sky, looking down at the massive land that was filled with life.
The cub was shocked. This couldn’t be. How could someone’s Soul Space hold this much life?
The light coming from the left was too bright, so the cub looked to the right. When it did, it saw the tree that was still young and yet still massive.
Its eyes went wide.
“The World Tree?” it asked in surprise. “How… How is it here?”
“Hmm? Were you not listening to our conversation, senior?” Alex asked. “I already told the tree it was here.”
“I wasn’t,” the cub said, its surprise still persisting. He had known about the World Tree’s death, so learning of its survival was indeed shocking. He asked Alex some questions and learned that Alex had found the seed by accident and had the tree start growing by accident as well.
The World Tree was growing quite well. Its body was massive as well, and could still grow to become bigger. Its body had overtaken an entire mountain, its roots reaching over to the other mountain, and yet it was still going to grow to become larger.
The World Tree was never as big as the Tree of Life, but it was still massive, and certainly much taller. Looking at its current size, it discerned that the tree had yet to transition fully from a sapling to a proper tree.
It didn’t feed on what was given and instead hungered for anything else it could find. The land around its roots was sucked dry of all nutrients for it to grow.
Although, with so much light, it had started creating Qi as well. The Qi here was stronger than what was out in Hell. It was quite surprising for the cub.
“It can still grow. Feed it everything you can,” the cub said.
“I am doing my best,” Alex said. “But I have others living in this world, so until I find a solution for their lives, I cannot let the World Tree grow as much at all.”
The cub nodded in understanding. The hungry World Tree would devour all life should it find it right now.
“Still, I am surprised that you’ve managed to grow it as large as you have within your Soul Space,” the cub said, turning toward the source of the light. “Are you using a formation for this light? Or did you find a natural treasure that—”
The cub froze in shock when it saw what the light was coming from.
“The Nine Yang God Tree?”
