Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2761 - 2761: FIghting More Sects

Alex went to the Sky Mist sect next, flying over the Northsword to get to the other side of the desert.

Upon reaching there, he immediately called for the sect’s strongest fighters to fight him. They felt disrespected at first, but as they started fighting, they quickly realized that Alex had the right to disrespect them.

He was strong.

Their sect leader, a man seemingly in his late 30s, fought Alex with his spear. It wasn’t long after that the Sky Mist sect was forced to use their battle array as well.

Theirs was a special array that affected Alex. Their array made it so that he had a hard time judging just where his opponent was. The distance became hard to determine, thus making it hard for him to dodge or block each attack.

Alex fought under this strange condition for half an hour, focusing all that he could into improving his Sword Intent. Even under this disadvantage, the sect leader failed to gain much of an upper hand.

Afterward, he gave up.

Alex wasn’t entirely satisfied with the battle in this sect, but he acknowledged that not all battles were satisfying and that he had to keep improving no matter what.

He asked for directions to the next sect and left.

The next sect was one called the Raven Leaf sect, set alongside a mountain facing west, next to the Northsword. Its strongest fighter was its First Elder, a man who fought with a halberd.

The man had exceptional physical strength, which made clear that he had drunk Elixir before this. On top of that, their battle formation was one that was quite strong and yet quite simple.

It improved the very basic strength of its main fighter, which was the First Elder. The First Elder suddenly got stronger and faster, which allowed Alex to fight much more freely than he could have before.

He fought the man for as long as he could, spending hours in the fight. This was the longest Alex had yet fought someone in any of the sects. The battle lasted for a long time, and yet neither of them gave up.

It wasn’t certain that either of them could win either.

Alex wasn’t fatigued, but neither seemed the First Elder he fought.

The two went on with their battle until the late noon, at which point the First Elder finally began to show signs of fatigue. Not only that, Alex’s Sword Intent had also gradually gotten better, getting closer and closer to the strength of his regular Intent.

As his strength increased, the First Elder could do nothing to stop it.

Finally, after nearly four and a half hours of battle, the First Elder gave up.

The First Elder lay on the sand, exhausted. His chest heaved to a great degree as he fought against his fatigue.

Alex was somewhat out of breath as well, but that quickly disappeared as Qi circulated through his body once again.

Alex walked over to the First Elder and helped him up.

“You fought well, Elder,” Alex said and handed him the storage bag.

The First Elder took the bag in surprise. “But… I lost.”

“You gave me a good battle,” Alex said. “Please, do not refuse.”

The First Elder wanted to, but the entirety of his sect was looking forward to this, so he didn’t refuse. He took the storage bag with a single Elixir jar.

Alex spent just a few more minutes getting the names of the next few sects he could visit and how strong they were. Once he got his information, he left.

Alex was out in the desert when night fell, and he let Whisker go down to the depths of Hell with a strong beast, while he waited up top, spending his time doing whatever it was that didn’t require his physical effort.

This mostly constituted either attempting to create bigger holes in his Soul Space and Spiritual Sea, modifying the Blood Beast techniques, or finalizing the Earth movement technique so he could go down to the depth of Hell himself to find out how Elixir was created.

The easiest of it all was somehow preparing the movement technique. He knew how Qi worked and how meridians worked, and that made coming up with techniques much easier than anything else.

The Blood Beast techniques were equally as difficult as the remaining task. He had tried thinking of a thousand different changes to the Blood Beast technique, but none of what he learned was helping him come up with a way to keep the Blood Beast’s ability to improve along with him.

Not a single idea he came up with had a way to improve that. As time went on, he knew what he needed.

He needed to understand more about blood. Only when he understood blood at a deeper level could he understand this. That much he was certain.

As for the seal around his Soul Space and Spiritual Sea, no matter how many times Alex broke through them, they kept regenerating.

At first he was certain that the more he destroyed it, the weaker it would become with time, since there had to be a finite amount of energy that formed the seal, but as far as he could tell, the seal regenerated infinitely.

Alex simply couldn’t tell why that was. How could this seal not ever degrade? Was the Storm God’s Intent just that strong?

Alex wanted to come up with an answer as soon as he could.

Whisker arrived as the first ray of the morning sun spilled through the horizon onto the unending dunes of sand. He appeared next to Alex, ready to create more Elixir. So, Alex helped him.

In the next 3 hours, Alex helped Whisker prepare nearly 12 jars of Elixir. Of these, he took a single jar and diluted it with water until he filled 5 other jars.

These were the jars he was giving away to each sect after his victory. After all, he was no saint to give away things when it could help him and his people in the end.

Once done, he left the desert with Whisker, going off to find another sect to fight.
