Chapter 1152 1152: Get Off My Lawn
Chapter 1152 1152: Get Off My Lawn
Rudy turned away from the glowing holographic map and adjusted the cuffs of his tailored black suit.
"Keep the Under Blades inside the barrier," Rudy instructed Kim and Lu Bela. "I will handle the garbage disposal personally."
He accessed his Spatio-Temporal manipulation. The obsidian walls of the war room vanished instantly. Rudy materialized thousands of feet in the sky, suspended perfectly still above the southern border of his kingdom.
A vast sea of shifting flesh and glowing red eyes swarmed across the landscape below him. Thousands of massive, multi-limbed horrors clustered together along the access roads. The eldritch monstrosities screeched in chaotic unison as they prepared to overwhelm the magical blue dome.
They genuinely believe numbers mean something to a god, Rudy thought, looking down at the grotesque infestation with absolute disgust.
"You cosmic parasites think you understand power," Rudy stated. He engaged his vocal projection to broadcast his voice directly into the hive mind of every single creature below. "Let me educate you."
Rudy raised his right hand toward the clouds. He tapped into the fundamental forces of reality to command gravity itself. A massive sphere of condensed spatial pressure formed above his palm, bending and distorting the morning light around it.
He swung his hand downward.
The localized gravity over the access roads multiplied by ten thousand. An invisible, catastrophic force slammed directly into the earth.
The towering S-rank calamities collapsed instantly.
Their bones snapped and their twisted flesh ruptured under the apocalyptic weight. The ground cratered violently beneath them to form a massive, perfectly circular basin of ruined dirt.
The monsters shrieked in agony as their internal organs burst from the localized gravity well. The intense pressure flattened the entire horde into a thin layer of bloody paste in a matter of seconds. The terrifying second wave ceased to exist entirely.
Rudy floated gracefully above the massive crater, and not a single drop of blood or speck of dust reached his immaculate suit. He smiled with genuine amusement, fully satisfied with the flawless display of his absolute supremacy.
Before he could teleport back to the war room, the clouds above the battlefield violently parted. A brilliant golden light pierced the morning sky. The radiant glow illuminated the ruined landscape and cast long shadows across the crater.
A celestial entity descended from the upper atmosphere. The being possessed six glowing wings of pure light and wore shining platinum armor. A halo of brilliant golden energy rotated above its head.
"Mortal," the entity proclaimed. Its voice echoed across the valley with an unnatural ringing authority. "Your display of might has drawn the gaze of the Divine Citadel."
Rudy crossed his arms. He looked at the glowing bird-man with profound annoyance.
"I am Safalius," the angel announced, floating down to hover exactly at Rudy's eye level. "The cosmos is currently engaged in a holy war against the eldritch blight. We have observed your strength and deemed you worthy. The Citadel offers you a place in our grand crusade. Bow your head and accept our holy brand."
'Another cosmic pest shows up uninvited,' Rudy thought, rolling his eyes. 'They really have no concept of personal boundaries. And I am the one who might have accidentally created them.'
"Are you completely out of your mind?" Rudy asked.
Safalius paused. The golden halo flickered slightly. "Excuse me?"
"You trespass on my property, blind me with that ridiculous flashlight of a halo, and then demand I join your little club?" Rudy sighed. He casually brushed an invisible speck of dust from his tailored black sleeve. "I am the Overlord of this universe. I do not join crusades. I own them."
The angel narrowed its glowing eyes as a fiery aura ignited around its platinum armor.
"You dare mock the Divine Citadel?" Safalius demanded, raising a hand to summon a massive spear of concentrated holy light. "We offer you salvation from the parasites. You will kneel and pledge your service, or you will be purged alongside the abominations."
Rudy vanished from his position and materialized instantly in front of the celestial being to bypass the holy aura completely. Reaching out, he grabbed the angel by the throat. Safalius choked in shock and struggled to break free, yet Rudy's grip was absolute.
"Let me make this very clear," Rudy whispered, his dark eyes flashing with lethal crimson power. "You are not a savior. You are just a glowing pigeon trespassing on my lawn."
Accessing his Spatio-Temporal manipulation, Rudy forcefully inverted the dimensional space around the angel's back. The six wings of pure light shattered like cheap glass, sending golden shards raining down into the crater below.
Safalius screamed in agony as his divine connection severed entirely.
Rudy released his grip and let the newly wingless angel plummet toward the earth. The celestial herald crashed violently into the bloody paste of the eldritch monsters, instantly coating his shining platinum armor in the grotesque remains of his enemies.
Landing elegantly at the edge of the crater, Rudy looked at the coughing, broken angel struggling to stand in the mud.
"Take a message back to your Citadel," Rudy commanded. "Stay out of my sky."
Leaving the ruined messenger to crawl out of the dirt, Rudy turned his back and teleported directly into the underground command center of the Orcelona Keep.
Lu Bela and Kim stood near the central console, reviewing the tactical readouts from the orbital strike.
"The second wave is entirely eradicated, my Lord," Lu Bela reported seamlessly, projecting a holographic feed of the massive crater. "We also registered an unidentified divine energy signature."
"It was just a glorified pigeon making threats," Rudy replied, walking past the glowing map. "Take the Under Blades outside and sweep everything. I want the monster paste incinerated, and if that wingless angel is still crawling around, throw him out of my territory."
Kim smirked and spun one of her energy daggers. "Understood. We will clean up your lawn."
With the perimeter secured, Rudy teleported up to the sprawling eastern dining hall to start his day properly. The large room smelled of fresh coffee and warm pastries, featuring a massive breakfast spread covering a long oak table.
Jessica and Rebecca sat near the far end, sipping their coffee while chatting playfully. Alice sat across from them, wearing an oversized sweater that contrasted beautifully with her dark brown hair. She shifted slightly in her cushioned chair, a bright blush spreading across her cheeks as Jessica teased her about her noticeable soreness.
"Good morning, ladies," Rudy greeted them, pulling out a chair next to Alice.
Alice looked up, her dark eyes shining with absolute adoration. "Good morning, Rudy. Is the battle over?"
"Completely finished," Rudy smiled, pouring himself a cup of coffee. "The cosmic parasites learned their lesson, and I even took care of some local pest control while I was out there. Now, pass me a croissant. I worked up quite an appetite."
Jessica laughed and slid a plate of pastries toward him. "I bet you did. Alice here was just telling us how thorough your lessons were last night."
Rebecca groaned and hid her face behind her mug. Alice flushed a vibrant red and bumped her shoulder playfully against Rudy's arm, entirely happy to be sitting alongside Rudy.
