Chapter 2302: Oda Nobunaga’s Endless Castle [20]
-----
"I asked who the hell you are!"
Emerald quickly got into his fighting mode, knowing full well this was a threat and not a friend, although his voice was mixed with the anger of his Demonic Alter Ego, making him sound somewhat out of character.
FLUOSH!
His Aura surged, Celestial Winds and Demonic Flames spiraling around him, as he directed them toward the woman, who laughed as the blazing winds engulfed her in a deadly tornado.
BOOOM!
And yet, instead of burning her or slicing her apart, the blazing winds...
Obeyed her will.
"Who am I, you ask? Oh, my dear, let me introduce myself properly!"
FLASH!
The woman emerged, using Emerald’s own winds to propel herself toward him, pointing her feet at his stomach and kicking him away with immense force.
BAAAM!
"Guuaaaggh?!"
Emerald vomited blood, feeling his stomach break apart, as he broke through hundreds of rooms, shattering them apart, as he landed in a pile of rubble and flames.
"Haaa... Ugh...!"
He slowly stood up again, feeling heavily wounded from just that one attack... a physical attack from a human woman who only seemed slightly taller than giants.
"I am Ame-no-Uzume—dancer of collapse, jester to the divine wound. Once, I lifted the dawn. Now, I tangle minds in twilight."
The divine Kami manifested before him, her winds spiraling around her.
"Come—laugh for me. Scream for me. Let your limbs forget rhythm and your heart forget itself."
She moved through the air, dancing majestically, shocking Emerald.
"I do not fight. I perform. And when the curtains fall, you will beg for an encore... without breath to cheer! Hahahaha!"
FLASH!
"She’s coming! Emerald, lock in the fun in and do something!"
The Demonic Alter Ego took over, blazing flames erupting and clashing against Ame-no-Uzume’s foot, as an explosion of winds and demonic fire erupted, sending shockwaves everywhere and destroying their surroundings!
CRAAASH!
"Nnnggh...! She can control my winds! How exactly do you expect me to find a way to beat her normally?!" Emerald asked angrily.
"Then we improvise, you damn shithead!" the Demonic Alter Ego roared.
Emerald opened his jaws, unleashing a destructive breath attack, hitting Ame-no-Uzume at point-blank range and blasting her away.
BOOOM!
"Hahahah! That wasn’t bad, I love it when men are rough with me~!"
Ame-no-Uzume laughed, as she rushed back by spinning in midair and falling, using her winds to propel her body forward.
"She took my breath attack head-on?! Are you kidding me? Is she... is she one of those ’Kami’ from Zipangu?! I had no idea they were this strong!" Emerald said.
"As things are, she’s stronger than you," the Demonic Alter Ego said.
"Hahahaha!"
Ame-no-Uzume reached Emerald, as the dragon wielded his winds, pushing her away and avoiding her constant kicks and slashing attacks with her fans, only for her to rapidly follow him, using his winds against him.
"Nuh-huh! Where do you think you’re going?"
Until eventually, Emerald’s escape route was blocked. A pillar of pink winds and pink flower petals manifested in front of him, sending him flying back to her.
"{Cherry Blossom Divine Step Dance}!"
BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!
The goddess unleashed a barrage of powerful kicks against Emerald, forcing the wind dragon to defend himself using his arms. Her powerful attacks tore off his feathers and scales, as blood splattered everywhere.
"Nnnggh...! Aaaaggh! That’s enough!"
Emerald roared, as his right arm suddenly grew muscular and bulkier. His feathers and scales turned purple, red, and black, popping crimson eyes and jaws on it, as he punched her away with immense chaotic power.
BOOOM!
"Oohooo~!"
However, Ame-no-Uzume parried the blow with both of her bladed fans, slicing through Emerald’s hand as he saw his fingers flying everywhere.
"Aaaagh! Damn it! I won’t die here! I have a wife and a daughter to return to!"
Emerald’s eyes turned deeply red, his entire body suddenly becoming a mix between his Demonic Form and his new Chaos Spirit Possession Form.
"RAAAHHHH!"
"Good! Struggle! Hahahahah!"
His power exploded, pushing the Kami a few meters away, but she quickly responded with her laughter, her winds spiraling forward, resembling drilling gusts of wind, crashing against Emerald as he began pushing back with his own powers.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

.
.
Celene had fallen into a deep slumber, and everything she could see in her dreams was her hunters, constantly chasing her, everywhere she went, through most of her childhood and even her early adulthood.
There was no moment of peace. Midgard had long ago abandoned its traditions of worshiping the Moonlight Dragons as its gods, and only a few villages with their churches remained, isolated from the larger Kingdoms.
A dragon to them was nothing but a walking treasure, one they could seize to earn endless wealth and fortune, which could bring them both money and power.
Their ancient traditions were now gone, as hunters pursued her everywhere she went, and the agony never ended until Celene became stronger, strong enough to kill everyone who came after her.
Even though it had been over a hundred years since then, in her nightmares, she would dream about her hunters, constantly chasing her, drawing closer, while she was nothing but a helpless young Moonlight Dragon.
Her naivety made her explore the vast world on the surface of the planet, instead of spending her days idly on the surface of the Moon, doing nothing but meditating and sleeping...
And in the end, she had to pay a very high price for that...
"Hey, Celene, right? Wake up!"
"Aaahh!"
Celene gasped as she screamed, her Mirrors manifesting around her to protect her almost by instinct, only to find not her hunters by her side, but another dragon.
A large, black dragon with multiple heads, each head covered with bone-like scales, his eyes glowing with phantasmal flames.
"Whoa! Calm down, I am not your enemy."
"Eeh? Ah...! Uh... H-Hydra, right?"
"Yeah, it’s me."
Hydra spoke with his various heads. They didn’t seem to have personalities of their own, but all of them shared the same one.
Sometimes he would speak with all of them at once, but other times, they took turns... multiple heads were certainly uncommon among dragons, but not completely rare either.
It meant that their blood was closer to the blood of the most ancient of dragons, such as Tiamat, said to have ten heads.
