“That’s not it at all! And I am not a lonely girl; I talk and socialize lots! I-I have a lot of friends out there I swear!” she looked at me desperately. “I really do have!”

“Okay, alright,” I nodded. “Anyway, I have a reward for your hard efforts. This will help you grow even further, I didn’t let you have it until now because I wanted to see how far you could go on your own, and this is already amazing enough… But you can go even further.”

“I-I can?!” she asked.

She started crying, as she ran towards me and suddenly hugged me out of nowhere.

I was shocked she would go this far though.

She quickly realized what she was doing, stepping back away from me while acting all shy, despite the two of us being giant, scaled dragons.

Not like she looked like an innocent little girl or something… she was a massive lizard.

But it was still funny she acted like one.

“Hahaha! I guess you’re happy?” I asked. “I said we were only halfway done before, but now… you’re almost there, almost.”

“A-Almost?! I’ve never felt this strong before! It’s like I’ve been reborn!” she said. “I even got new Divinities?! And what’s this weird feeling… my Soul has some sort of thing inside? A crystallization?”

“Yeah, I set it up on automatic, that’s a Divine Titan Soul Heart,” I explained. “It has taken upon your Elements of Light and Earth. A technique the Titans taught me, which I’ve now spread to everyone else.”

“C-Crazy!” she said. “A technique from the titans?! W-What?! You’re… you’re just amazing… Ugh…”

“Still feel bad for receiving help?” I asked. “Let me tell you that you earned this help, you didn’t get it out of nowhere. If you hadn’t gotten this far through perseverance and growth… I would have never given you anything.” This content is presented by M4VLEMPYR.

“Of course you did, Amethyst,” I walked towards her, patting her head.

She looked at me, almost about to cry, but then lowered her head, gripping her fists tightly.

And then I saw her tears falling to the floor, creating small puddles.

“I’ve been fighting like an idiot this entire time… trying to get stronger on my own…” she muttered. “I was doing all of it for my mom… but I didn’t really understand why I couldn’t grow at all… I… thanks a lot… Drake… thank you…! Uuugh… Nnnh…”

“Hmph, it’s alright kid,” I said, patting her head one last time. “One you’re only one step from being suitable to fight that monster.”

“One step…?” she asked me, looking at me with curiosity and surprise.

“Indeed,” I nodded. “Only one step, and that step is ascending even further. You’ll have to level up a lot more from now on, we’ll visit giant dungeons out there and also of the ones I’ve made, you’ll continue polishing your abilities, and you’ll continue learning from me. And eventually, the power of Archetypes may finally emerge.”

“Archetypes…?” Amethyst’s eyes shone brightly. “What’s… what’s that?”

“A power beyond anything you’ve ever thought before,” I said. “I can tell that you’ve got the potential now, that week and a half we’ve spent together has helped us forge a stronger bond.”

There, my family and several of my friends were waiting for her, surprising her. Several of my Slimes and Cooking Spirits were also cooking a large feast using the meat from the monster she just hunted, and the smell of delicious meat spread through the entire area.

“I feel you’ve become so much stronger… amazing,” Kate said.
