Chapter 2902 - 2903: The Egyptian Heavenly Domain
-----
Serket and Anubis, two gods whose Authorities within the Egyptian Pantheon could not have been more contradictory.
One was a Goddess of Protection, Healing from Venom, and Magic.
The other was a God of Death and Judge of Souls.
Since their reawakening after a long slumber, these two had not stopped bickering, fighting, and arguing over anything and everything.
"No, I already told you I don't CARE about the Red Desert—keep it!"
"You said I could get a part of the Duat if I gave you a piece of the desert, so take it already, you damn mutt!"
"Who are you speaking to in such a tone—the great judge of the netherworld?!"
And today, as always, they argued furiously.
The Heavenly Domain of the Egyptian Pantheon trembled with unrest. The ceaseless quarrels between these two goddesses, who had just concluded yet another war between the Gods of Life and the Gods of Death, seemed endless.
Above the skies, shining brightly on his throne, Ra, the God of the Sun and King of the Heavenly Domain, sighed deeply and shook his head. He scratched his golden beak in mounting nervousness and stress.
"How long are you two going to keep arguing and fighting?!"
He had finally had enough. With a furious shout, rays of sunlight descended from the heavens.
Yet Serket and Anubis glared back and hissed. Their Divine Cosmic Auras surged, the power of Healing, Life, and Protection clashing against the power of Death, Souls, and the Dead. Their Divinities collided with Ra's own, pushing him back momentarily and shocking him once more. The giant bird-headed god rose from his pharaoh throne and looked down upon them.
"Don't get in the way, old man!"
As both roared in unison, Ra's beak fell open in disbelief. All the Gods of the Ennead, seated on their grand thrones surrounding the two goddesses, stared with mouths agape.
"Cough—Old man?!" Ra raged. Though he was among the most ancient gods, that did not make him a decrepit elder. "Y-You dare?! I am the King of the Ennead! Serket! Anubis! We have had enough of your fighting!"
"I don't care!" Serket snapped furiously. "And I already told you—I am Serket Nixephine! Not just SERKET!"
"And I am Anubis Nefertiti, damn old man, stop forgetting my true name!" Anubis roared ferociously.
Both goddesses had proven incredibly troublesome throughout the Ennead, causing more chaos than they were worth.
Yet due to their high positions, they commanded respect and even followers who joined their pointless conflicts.
It seemed they simply hated each other without any real reason.
"Since all of you entered your deep slumber, there was finally peace," Atum—a giant made of white light—roared. "Now that you've awakened, the balance of the Ennead is tipping!"
"We've had enough! You've caused too much trouble!" Shu—a giantess of white light—shouted angrily.
"Many of the young gods followed your pointless wars and now look where we are!" Tefnut sighed in disbelief. She appeared as a powerful half-lioness woman with a sun disk above her head.
"I agree!" Geb declared.
"Enough is enough, girls..." Nut murmured.
Geb and Nut, the god of the earth and the goddess of the sky, stood with the others.
"Hm, Anubis, if you keep this up, I might have to revoke your authority over the Duat," Osiris—the green, mummified ruler of the Egyptian Underworld—sighed.
"After you freed Set by accident and we had to fight Apophis, whom he revived with his ancient dark magic, we lost several of our most valuable members!" Isis argued.
"Great Pharaoh, King of the Sun, I believe we should exile them to the Lower Realms," Nephthys said sternly.
"Hmmm..." Ra nodded. "We have no choice. Until you learn your place, both of you will be exi—"
"Who are you exiling, old man?!" Serket roared, transforming into a titanic golden scorpion.
"We've had enough of this damn place anyway! We want to see our wife, Kireina-sama!" Anubis bellowed, shifting into a giantess and voluptuous black jackal anthropomorphic beauty adorned with golden accessories and sleek black fur.
Their Auras exploded, making the entire Heavenly Domain tremble.
Indeed, the true reason behind their endless warring and chaos was simple: they had been bound to this place since awakening and could not leave.
"We've been confined in this Heavenly Domain since we woke up...!"
"And we've wanted to leave since the beginning anyway!"
"W-What?!" Ra gasped as the rest of the gods realized just how villainous the pair truly were.
"We freed Set and allowed him to revive Apophis so he could twist the Divine Laws and free us from being tied to this place!"
"But before we leave, we want to give you a nice punch in the face—for being such a damned son of a bitch!"
"HAH?!"
Ra stood in utter bewilderment.
Anubis barked furiously. "You think it's pleasant to work endlessly for thousands of years judging one soul at a time?! Even now there's a line of millions waiting! I am not doing this ever again!"
Serket hissed. "And you know how exhausting it is to spread healing and life through this arid desert?! I am not doing this again! Also, all the Egyptians who worshiped us are dead, we're literally sustaining ourselves on pure fictional relevance in modern pop culture!"
Ra stared in disbelief. "Y-You insolent... girls...! I will not forget this!"
RUMBLE!
The falcon-headed Divine Pharaoh roared, spreading blazing golden wings and transforming into a titanic bird of sunlight and golden light.
"I WILL PUNISH YOU FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!"
He descended at blinding speed, crashing into both goddesses. They pushed back fiercely, shaking the entire Heavenly Domain.
The endless sea of golden dunes, the pyramids, and every magical race living within the Egyptian Pantheon's realm quaked.
"Nnnggh...! W-What's this?!"
Ra was stunned to feel that both goddesses were far stronger than he had believed!
Though they should have been beneath him, together they nearly matched his power.
"Hey, old bastard!" Serket roared.
"We aren't just the gods of the authorities you gave us anymore!" Anubis bellowed.
Suddenly their Auras erupted with newfound strength. The ancient powers their souls had carried upon arriving in this world manifested fully.
Anubis unleashed blinding sunlight, while Serket seized control of the golden dunes beneath them, commanding sand with greater mastery than Set ever could.
RUMBLE!
Darkness, Death, Souls, Life, Protection, Sands, Dunes, Sunlight, and more Elemental Divinities surged and condensed. The two goddesses, who still despised each other...
Fused!
BOOOM!
A massive explosion of light and darkness erupted. Ra groaned in agony as he was hurled backward, crashing into the pyramid beneath his throne and shattering it into countless fragments.
"I-Impossible...! T-This is impossible!" Ra screamed, coughing blood as the smoke cleared and he beheld what they had become.
A colossal black jackal with six limbs and two heads, its body covered in golden exoskeleton armor. A long scorpion tail extended from its back, and giant pincers emerged from its shoulders. Each of its two heads bore three golden eyes, roaring with sharp fangs bared.
The titanic divine beast was a fusion of Serket and Anubis, something the other gods could never have imagined possible.
"It's time for us to get the hell out of here and find Kireina-sama! Enough is enough!"
Ra coughed, then laughed in stunned disbelief.
"Y-You...! Hahah... Very well, war it is! Ennead! You are ORDERED to eliminate Serket and Anubis!"
"OOOOHHHH!"
All the mightiest gods of the Egyptian Pantheon roared in unison and descended upon the fusion, unleashing their powerful Divinities from every direction.
As the fusion of Nixephine and Nefertiti braced for their final battle before departure...
RUMBLE!
The skies above the Heavenly Domain cracked open. A giant hand of light appeared, followed by an eldritch abomination formed of countless suns.
"This is a good one. You're mine now."
And then the entire Egyptian Heavenly Domain was destroyed, its fragments and its gods swallowed into an endless vortex of light and darkness.
