Chapter 2568 - 2569: Go All-Out, Team!

Frank covered his friends with the barrier that Matsuo conjured, now made into a veil, it granted them great protection against cursed and corrosive magic, often wielded by evil spirits and yokai. With this veil, everyone leaped towards the Slime Skeleton abomination, attacking it from every angle to overwhelm it.

"RAAAAHHH!"

Erika roared mightily as she suddenly began to transform even further, her face quickly transformed into that of an adorable werewolf girl, although she showed her sharp teeth, looking a bit intimidating.

Her large body was completely covered by fur, as her claws grew twice as long and sharp, and so did her tail and ears, giving her the full power of her werewolf transformation.

As she transformed, her aura changed, becoming completely golden colored! Frank noticed an enormous quantity of not Mana, but Ki emerging from within her.

Werewolves exceeded at physical combat and might, and so, their powerful bodies hid a large quantity of Ki within them, although they also had large quantities of Mana, their Ki could be several hundreds of times that of an average person, and often thrice as large as Vampires.

"{Golden Wolf's Aura}! {Shredding Claws}!"

Erika roared mightily, her voice becoming rougher and more beastly, as she leaped into the monster and swung her massive claws as she unleashed her Aura, which enhanced her Senses and her Speed.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

With a barrage of attacks, the slime monster that tried to defend with its giant skeletal arm ended with said arm torn to shreds, Erika's claws bending these steel-like bones and cutting them as if they were nothing but butter against a hot knife.

"Wow, Erika's amazing!" Frank looked at the werewolf girl from the distance. "I don't even remember her appearing in these dreams or memories from the future. Did she never join our group in that hypothetical timeline? Then that means the future is changing…"

Indeed, in the future that Frank had seen, Erika only appeared every now and then and was mostly forgotten until pretty late in his life. Even if such "memories" or "dreams" were fragmented, he could tell as much from the early stages of such "hypothetical timeline".

In that timeline too, people like Kireina, her friends, and other students like Elfina didn't exist either, or never joined Tokyo High School, there were several variables, some of them not even caused by him.

And as it turned out, Erika ended up being an incredible new member, her physical might and speed were perfect for a frontline battler.

CLAAASH!

"Ah!"

Frank's eyes widened as the monster slammed Erika with tremendous force, crushing her body into the ground and shattering the pavement.

CRASH!

"E-Erika!"

He panicked, about to go heal her using [Gift of Life], however, Erika stood back up again, she wasn't wounded nor even bleeding and seemed only a bit roughed up.

"Heheh! Are you worried about me? Don't you worry about me, Frank-kun, I can handle myself just fine! I am the daughter of my father after all!"

"The daughter of her father? I really need to know him; he seems like someone at the level of Harumi's mother…!"

Erika not only proved to be strong, but her body was incredibly resilient, she took an attack that would've easily flattened most people, and perhaps even dealt a lot of damage to him if he didn't use protective spells and wasn't even harmed.

Definitely, she was the strongest in their group, at least physically!

"I'll handle its blows; you guys blast it with magic!"

Erika lured the monster towards her, as she began hitting it with her tail swipes, kicks, and claw attacks.

"GRAAAAHHH!"

The giant monster of over thirty meters rapidly began chasing her, swinging its bony claws against her, which could actually regenerate with enough time.

As the monster paid all of its attention to Erika, the other three quickly aimed at the monster's body with their strongest spells.

"Alright then everyone, as she said, let's blast it with as much magic as we can!" Matsuo said. "HAAAAHH!"

He gathered raw Mana into his hands and then condensed it into his staff, as the young man rapidly manifested a giant sphere of pure light, of over five meters.

"{Miniature Sun}!"

It seemed to be a rather high-level spell, which left even Harumi and Frank surprised at what Matsuo was capable of now after his two-week training with Frank.

At the same time, Harumi smiled lightly, amassing her Blood Energy and Mana into a single place, and forming a giant crimson bow and an even larger arrow made of darkness and blood.

"{Abyssal Crimson Blood Arrow}!"

The arrow of darkness and blood was fired at the monster at the same time as Matsuo fired his Miniature Sun, both spells accompanied by Frank's spell too.

He combined the flames of Ruby and the stones he produced through Dirt, swirling them together with Gust to create a massive volcanic spear blazing with fiery winds.

"{Blazing Volcanic Spear}!"

The three projectiles reached the slime skeleton's gigantic body, erupting into an explosion of darkness, light, and flames, engulfing the monster completely.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

"GRYYAAAEEGGH!"

The entire thing splattered into the ground, as the slime turned into ashes, and the bones within slowly fell apart and disappeared.

"Oh? It's done," Erika said.

"Looks like it," Matsuo nodded.

"Without Erika here, nobody would've been able to realistically take onto those blows and distract the monster though, she's a great addition," Harumi smiled.

"I agree," Frank nodded. "Well done, Erika!"

"Heh! See? I'm pretty awesome!" Erika celebrated. "Look at that though! Isn't that a bit huge?"

She walked towards what was left of the monster, a huge two-meter-big black stone that had gained several cracks and had a huge red rune on it.

"It seems to be the Magic Crystal left behind, it's better not to touch it for now," Matsuo said.

"I'll store it," Frank said, as the magic crystal disappeared.

"Huh? Wait you can store things? Where?!" Erika was shocked.

"It's a Spatial Inventory I possess," Frank smiled. "If you got anything you want to store, just ask me."

"Huh, pretty convenient!" Said Erika with a nod.

"Anyway, looks like there aren't any more slimes, is the place clean?" Harumi wondered.

"Hmm…" Matsuo looked around. "I think so, there isn't any more leftover energy, but- Hm?"

However, in that moment, Matsuo noticed a trio of students walking towards them from the other side of the street…
