Chapter 1540 - The Mighty Human Emperor Appears!
Chapter 1540: The Mighty Human Emperor Appears!
—–
The relentless army of the Human Empire marched forward across the grassy plains that covered a large part of the human nation’s territory. Thousands of armed men with magic armors and weapons moved forward through the usage of special carriages. Some enormous ones being carried by gigantic beasts tamed by people with the [Tamer] Class, while some of the elite, such as the Knights, were flying across the skies through flying vessels, enchanted with wind magic and enormous crystals that gathered mana to lift up such an enormous size off the ground.
Amidst the army of thousands, there was a very distinctive flying vessel, sitting over the back of an enormous, black-scaled wyvern with blazing red eyes. The interior of this carriage held an enormous hall, where a gigantic man, of almost three meters of height, sat down in silence over a throne made of pure gold and decorated finely with all sorts of beautiful details.
The man, surrounded by Elite Guards standing in silence in a row in front of his enormous throne remained in silence. His long silvery-white hair covered part of his black armor and his red cape, as one could notice atop his head a black crown decorated with red and purple jewels. His eyes seemed closed, while he was resting his arms over his legs, as if impatient.
“How long until we arrive?” He said. Suddenly, he moved his right hand towards an enormous blade resting over the floor, gigantic enough to merely resemble an immense heap of iron, but that emanated a truly terrifying and demonic aura.
Grasping his blade, he quickly took it and looked at it, opening his blazing red eyes and analyzing the sword as if it were a beauty amongst beauties. A smile emerged on his lips, his face as pale as candle wax seemed increasingly frightening the more he smirked maliciously.
“In a few more minutes. We are very close, Emperor.”
The voice of a true seductress emerged at his left side. As the beautiful body of a young woman slowly walked, her sharp and long heels stepping over the cold floor. Her delicate arms caressed his hard armor, slowly hugging his enormous neck. The man remained unaffected by her charm, glancing at his sword and then putting it down in the floor after an analysis of two minutes.
“Hmm… I see.” He said with a serious tone of voice. “Elves are truly fascinating creatures, don’t you think?”
“Yes. They live very long and have powerful magic.” Said the woman with an enchanting smile, her eyes glowing bright purple in color. The woman’s clothes left very little for the imagination, and she seemed like a normal human woman, albeit her eyes were purple and her hair as well.
“Indeed, they have amazing magical talent and live very long. Yet… Yet they don’t do nothing for the world either. They lazily sit down in their forests, merely acting prideful and arrogant while doing nothing themselves. What do they pride themselves so much for? Being good for nothings? I’ve always despised elves. Despite their talents, they choose to be weak. They choose to hide. They choose to become… my prey.” The Emperor said, his words became more ruthless each time he spoke more about the elves.
“That’s right, blessed with long lifespans and great magic, they merely sit down and do nothing… Not even we demons would do such a thing.” Laughed the woman, as a mischievous smile emerged in her lips, large horns could be suddenly seen growing out of her eyes.
“Their youthfulness and magic powers… The ancient knowledge, everything they have shall become mine… Even the demons are more worthy of becoming my allies than these good-for-nothing knife ears. I shall clean them out of the earth and make their rich territories and their knowledge and power mine. It has been decided.” The Emperor said. He, the Emperor of the Human Empire, and the one who had unified all Human Nations had, at the same time, betrayed humanity by allying with a Demon.
“Fufu, the Demon King was very smart about this idea… To think that the Human Emperor would be so reasonable.” Said the woman.
“Between warriors that fight each day for our people, we are of course similar. I saw in the Demon King someone more honorable than the demons. A man that take up arms to secure his land at all costs, unlike the elves, lazing and doing nothing while having more than anybody else. Isn’t it unfair that the hard worker never gets paid for their hard work, for their sacrifices? I will bring an end to the Elves, the annoying race of arrogant tree-dwellers, that only know that they don’t know a thing…”
The Emperor had betrayed humanity as he found the Demon King’s intentions of conquering land and protecting his own people more honorable than the typical daily life of the elves. Against all expectations, he was one of the first ever humans to decide to become an ally of Demons.
And now, with a force of over ten thousand men, he marched towards his destiny, a smile filled with insanity emerged on his lips as he raised his sword and stood out of his throne.
“We are here.” He said with a smile, looking outside of the carriage to find, in the distance, enormous walls that protected the Shield Nation that connected the Elven territory with the rest of the world. In here, the barrier set up eons ago by the last God doesn’t work properly, and an invasion has always been a threat that this nation has been preparing for.
The Emperor walked forward, as the mysterious demon woman walked behind him with a smile. He looked into the distance, his eyes flashing with red light as his entire body emanated so much dark power that he couldn’t possibly be said to be a normal human. Enhancing his vision, he saw them, two women leading an army of less than one thousand, and many tamed monsters.
“Hmph, what a pathetic army. Is this all what the Elves can offer? We should had invaded them long ago.”
