Changqing District, halfway up the mountain, villa, second-floor bedroom.

Mu Tiantian woke up in Shen Tiancheng’s arms yet again, and she was still in that whole-body exhausted state. At first she was already stunned just to find herself lying in the same bed with Shen Tiancheng again, and when she realized the condition of her body, she grew even more uneasy.

Scenes from last night flashed through her mind: a dull, tasteless New Year’s Eve dinner, then going out with Shen Tiancheng to set off fireworks.

And after the fireworks?

Some hazy fragments flickered through Mu Tiantian’s brain.

It seemed like Shen Tiancheng had been domineeringly holding her the whole time, standing with her in the safety zone and watching the dazzling fireworks fill the sky.

Because the person next to her was Shen Tiancheng and not Bai Chenyao, she’d been really happy at first, but her mood slowly cooled.

But Shen Tiancheng had bought a lot of fireworks; they went off for a full hour. In the end, the fireworks all over the night sky spelled out six words: "Little Sweetheart, I love you," leaving her completely dumbfounded.

Staring blankly at those eye-catching letters in the sky, she remembered that her mind had gone totally blank at the time, but she snapped back quickly, her gaze turning icy cold.

Then Shen Tiancheng suddenly clamped his hands down on her shoulders and, without giving her a chance to protest, kissed her.

After that...

After that she and Shen Tiancheng started fighting on the snowy lawn behind the yard.

Her body barely had any strength to begin with—there was no way she could be a match for Shen Tiancheng.

And she remembered him hitting her shoulder again; her body stumbled, her foot slipped, and she went down hard.

Her forehead just happened to smash against the flowerpot beside her, and everything went black right then—she lost consciousness.

Her forehead throbbed faintly with pain. Mu Tiantian looked at Shen Tiancheng, who was clutching her tightly, still asleep with his eyes closed, and wanted to lift her hand and sock him with a heavy punch.

She thought it, and tried to act on it, but with her whole body feeling so limp and weak, that punch didn’t even have a hint of force.

Mu Tiantian clenched her teeth in fury, her big black eyes glaring fiercely at Shen Tiancheng beside her. Even though she didn’t have much strength, she still raked at him hard.

But she’d long gotten used to keeping her nails trimmed short; her ten slender fingers had round, smooth, pale nails, with a faint pink sheen—very white and tender and cute, and absolutely devoid of any attack power.

Shen Tiancheng, who had still been asleep, gradually woke up because of Mu Tiantian’s movements.

He reached out and precisely caught the little hand committing mischief on his face. Shen Tiancheng’s lips curved as he opened his eyes, those long phoenix-shaped eyes filled with rippling, seductive light.

"Little Sweetheart, what are you trying to hint to me?"

Hint my ass!

Mu Tiantian sucked in a breath in anger, staring at Shen Tiancheng.

"Why am I weak all over again?"

Could it be that Shen Tiancheng had tampered with those fireworks?

But if that were the case, she should’ve lost her strength last night already, not still have had enough to fight with Shen Tiancheng, especially since the fireworks had gone on for a whole hour.

Shen Tiancheng’s arm around Mu Tiantian tightened slightly, pulling her a bit closer into his embrace.

"Kiss me once and I’ll tell you."

Mu Tiantian: "..."

Seeing the furious yet speechless look on Mu Tiantian’s face, Shen Tiancheng’s low, hoarse laughter sounded right by her ear, making her extremely uncomfortable.

"Shen Tiancheng, you know I don’t love you."

Shen Tiancheng still held Mu Tiantian’s white, round fingertips, lips quirked, his smile lazy and wicked.

"Little Sweetheart, you also know I don’t love you."

Two people who didn’t want to love each other, yet here they were in the same bed!

Thinking of this, Mu Tiantian pressed her lips together, trying hard to talk sense into Shen Tiancheng.

"Shen Tiancheng, you—"

"Shh, be good. It’s still early. Let me hold you and sleep a little longer."

Mu Tiantian: "..."
