Chapter 306: Chapter 204: Mr. Su Xuan Wants a Change in Taste? Are Lolis Better?

"This child..."

Ivsha’s gaze was fixed on Ailum, a tide of doubt surging in her heart.

As a Succubus, she could keenly sense the unique aura emanating from Ailum. This aura was different, far beyond that of any other Succubus she had ever encountered.

But what confused her even more was why Mr. Su Xuan would bring a little Succubus back to the Guild.

’Could it be that Mr. Su Xuan has lost interest in me and wants to try something new?’

Lost in thought, Ivsha looked at Su Xuan in confusion, her beautiful eyes shimmering with bewilderment at his actions.

’Even if he’s tired of me, isn’t there still the Holy Maiden...?’

"?"

Su Xuan noticed Ivsha’s gaze just then and hurriedly explained, "Ivsha, don’t get the wrong idea. Ailum is really just staying here for a couple of days."

"Mhm~ I understand~ Whatever you say, Mr. Su Xuan."

Su Xuan: "..."

After a moment of silence, Su Xuan began introducing the other Guild members to Ailum. However, Ailum only seemed interested in Ivsha. Her pink eyes remained fixed on the Succubus, as if she were mistaking her for Edith.

It wasn’t until Su Xuan explained it to her that Ailum understood Ivsha was not Edith.

This scene made Su Xuan fall into deep thought. ’If Ailum really is the Lust Demon King, has she forgotten everything about her past? Judging from her current behavior, she’s acting like a newborn little Succubus.’

"Ivsha, can I leave her in your care?" Su Xuan asked.

He could tell that Ailum was quite shy when interacting with anyone other than Ivsha.

Therefore, having Ivsha look after Ailum was the best option.

"As you command~" Ivsha accepted the task with a smile.

Su Xuan then started to consider today’s mission requests. There were four D+ Level mission requests left, each with a Recommended Level of 50 or higher, making them quite challenging.

After careful consideration, he decided to tackle a quest called "Black Swamp" first.

The quest description mentioned that a human village near the swamp heard wails and howls every night. The villagers suspected a powerful Demon Beast was on the loose and hoped Adventurers would investigate and eliminate it.

But this description puzzled Su Xuan. Generally speaking, swamps were habitats for Demons, and it was rare for a human village to be built in such a place.

"Lucia, Mare Rhine, Rosaline, get ready. We’re heading out for the quest," Su Xuan instructed them.

"Okay."

The three followed closely behind Su Xuan. With a flash of white light, they were instantly transported to the village beside the swamp.

But as soon as they arrived, Su Xuan’s expression turned grim.

He noticed the villagers had a peculiar appearance; each of their faces was covered in variously colored snake scales.

"Are you Adventurers here for the quest, too? That’s wonderful! Welcome, welcome!" As soon as they arrived, several enthusiastic villagers came up to greet them, their faces bearing simple, honest smiles.

Seeing this, Su Xuan went forward to talk with them and learn more about the village and the quest.

After some conversation, he learned that the village was founded by a human man and a woman from the Snake-man Race. Over time, their descendants brought back new villagers, and after several hundred years of growth, the village developed to its current size.

Su Xuan couldn’t help but be a little surprised after learning the reason for the snake scales on the villagers’ skin.

’That human man who got together with the Snake-man woman must have been really desperate, not even letting a Snake-man go!’

He remembered that Snake-men usually had the upper body of a human and the lower body of a snake, somewhat similar to a Centaur.

’What a Hero!’

Then, Su Xuan said to Lucia and the others, "Let’s head out. The other Guilds have already arrived near the destination."

"Okay."

In the blink of an eye, they arrived at the swamp.

Five or six Guilds had already gathered there, all D+ Level Guilds like Su Xuan’s.

Due to the high difficulty of the quest, they had basically sent their entire Guild’s fighting force.

After all, this was a quest to advance from D+ Level to C-Level, so most Players took it very seriously, hoping to ensure its flawless completion. In contrast, a Guild like Su Xuan’s, with only three Adventurers participating, was certainly in the minority.

Just then, a familiar voice sounded in Su Xuan’s ear. "Holy shit! Su Xuan? What a coincidence!"

"Xia Yu?" Su Xuan looked surprised. He hadn’t expected to run into Xia Yu here.

"How did you get to D+ Level so fast?" Xia Yu walked over to Su Xuan and asked in surprise. He remembered Su Xuan’s strength being E-Level at most before this.

"I just recently reached D+," Su Xuan replied casually.

"Since you’re D+ Level now... how about a Silver Scale Armor?" Xia Yu took out the familiar armor and pitched, "Special price for a friend, only 2.5 gold!"

Su Xuan glanced at the Silver Scale Armor in Xia Yu’s hands, then shook his head. "No, thanks."

"That’s a real shame." Xia Yu smiled, showing no disappointment. "If you change your mind, come find me anytime. I’ll still give you the friend price!"

"Okay, next time for sure," Su Xuan replied with a smile.

Just then, a man walked over and asked Xia Yu curiously, "Xia Yu, you know this guy?"

Xia Yu turned his head and introduced with a smile, "Yeah, he’s my friend."

The man sized up Su Xuan, then said, "Since he’s a friend, have him join us for this D+ Level mission request. Those villagers are loaded, hiring so many D+ Level Guilds."

Xia Yu nodded in agreement. "They really are. The villagers’ ancestors were probably nobles or rich merchants who left behind a huge inheritance." Then, he turned to Su Xuan and asked, "How about it, Su Xuan? Want to join us? We’ve been here for two days already, but we still haven’t found the Demon."

"No, thanks." Su Xuan shook his head gently, politely declining Xia Yu’s offer.

"Suit yourself." The man shrugged and immediately led his team of Adventurers into the swamp.

"Su Xuan, are you sure you won’t reconsider?" Xia Yu frowned slightly, speaking with concern. "The swamp’s terrain is complex and unpredictable, and we don’t know how strong the Demon is. It’d be safer to move with us."

Su Xuan shook his head. "Thanks, but I prefer to do quests alone."

"Alright, I’ll get going then." Xia Yu waved and led his team away.

Watching Xia Yu’s group recede into the distance, Su Xuan didn’t rush into the swamp.

He scanned his surroundings and noticed one or two Guilds in the distance, hesitating to venture deep into the dangerous swamp.

This quest was a bit unusual; it began as soon as you met the villagers and entered the swamp.

As long as the Demon in the swamp that was bothering the villagers was killed, the quest would be considered complete and could be turned in, regardless of whether one had participated in the battle.

Of course, killing the Demon yourself would earn you an extra reward from the villagers.

After observing for a moment, Su Xuan turned to Lucia and the others and said, "Let’s head out, too."

"Right!"

The scene changed. Su Xuan and his party were now riding on the back of Mare Rhine’s Dragon form.

In the treacherous swamp environment, riding a flying pet was the best choice.

This was precisely why Su Xuan had refused to travel with Xia Yu’s group. Mare Rhine would not allow anyone outside their Guild to ride on her back.

Suddenly, Su Xuan’s gaze was drawn to a small, raised hill below.

’How could there be such a strange hill in the middle of a swamp?’ he wondered.

Moreover, he could faintly hear a GURGLE GURGLE breathing sound.

As he focused his gaze, lines of information appeared before his eyes:
