Chapter 285: Chapter 184: Traces of the Life Giant Dragon! You’ll Bully Her With Me, Right?

"Well then, Mr. Su Xuan, I’ll be heading back to the church now."

With a bright smile, Ivsha said her goodbyes, then gracefully turned and stepped into the Teleportation Array, her figure gradually vanishing within its radiant glow.

Su Xuan watched her leave, then took a deep breath and turned his gaze to the now-empty and silent Guild hall.

Alice and Viora were already fast asleep, while Rosaline was in her room, immersed in quiet meditation.

As for Mare Rhine... he wasn’t so sure.

’Time to get some rest,’ Su Xuan muttered to himself. He rubbed the tip of his nose and turned toward his bedroom.

However, just as he was about to step into his bedroom,

BANG!

The door was thrown open, and Mare Rhine rushed out with a suspicious look on her face. Her eyes darted around, as if she were frantically searching for something.

"What’s gotten into you?" Su Xuan asked, puzzled by Mare Rhine’s strange behavior.

"I smell her scent!" Mare Rhine said in a low voice, her gaze locked on Alice’s room, an indescribable expression on her face.

"’Her scent?’" Su Xuan raised an eyebrow, a strange premonition washing over him.

Before the words had even left his mouth, Mare Rhine shot toward Alice’s room like a gust of wind, so fast that Su Xuan didn’t even have time to react.

’?’

Utterly confused, Su Xuan followed close behind Mare Rhine.

Since the door wasn’t closed, they entered Alice’s room with ease.

Inside, Alice was sleeping soundly, lying quietly on the bed in her ragdoll form.

Even though she had blood now, Alice still seemed to prefer sleeping in her ragdoll form.

Viora was nestled close beside her, the two little ones sleeping peacefully.

"What in the world is going on?" Su Xuan asked Mare Rhine, keeping his voice down.

But Mare Rhine acted as if she hadn’t heard him. She walked straight to Viora, her crimson Dragon eyes fixed on the Dragon Scale in Viora’s arms, lost in deep thought.

"..."

Watching Mare Rhine’s reaction, Su Xuan couldn’t help but feel a little exasperated.

’So it was just Marie sensing the Dragon Scale Fragment from the Life Giant Dragon. And here I thought it was something serious...’

Just as he was about to explain that he had given the Dragon Scale Fragment to Viora, Mare Rhine suddenly made a hushing gesture, signaling him to be quiet.

’Hmm?’

Su Xuan immediately followed Mare Rhine’s gaze to the Dragon Scale in Viora’s arms. A cyan-blue light was shimmering across its surface, as dazzling as a Star, giving it a mysterious and profound aura.

’What is this?’

A look of surprise appeared on Su Xuan’s face.

He clearly remembered the Dragon Scale Fragment showing no reaction when he gave it to Viora, but now the scale was radiating a dense Life Force and seemed to have undergone some kind of change.

"Interesting. I never expected this Dragon Scale to hold a secret," Mare Rhine muttered to herself, her eyes gleaming with excitement. She was clearly captivated by the scale.

"What secret?" Su Xuan asked curiously, walking over to Mare Rhine’s side and staring intently at the Dragon Scale in her hand.

He noticed what looked like special characters carved onto the Dragon Scale, but the script was foreign to him, and he couldn’t understand its meaning.

"This is the language of the Dragon Race," Mare Rhine explained. "As for what it says..."

After a brief pause, Mare Rhine continued, "The Dragon Scale hasn’t fully repaired itself, so I can only decipher some of the information."

The corners of her mouth lifted into an excited smile as she went on, "But—!"

"That fool Mira didn’t attain godhood either! She’s trapped in a seal somewhere! HAHAHA! The bastard had it coming! Serves her right!" Mare Rhine’s mocking laughter echoed through the room.

Hearing this, Su Xuan fell into a brief silence.

He had originally thought that of the two Demigod Level Giant Dragons vying for the Divine Position, at least one would succeed. He never expected that neither would achieve their goal in the end.

One had fallen, becoming a ten-thousand-meter-long skeleton of a Giant Dragon; the other was sealed away, unable to be free.

Such an outcome was indeed beyond his expectations.

Just as Su Xuan was lost in thought, a message suddenly flashed in his vision:

[Favorability with Adventurer Mare Rhine has reached 80!]

[Required item to unlock character quest has been obtained!]

[Unlock Mare Rhine’s character quest—The Giant Dragons of Life and Destruction?]

’A character quest?’

"Yes!"

[Character Quest Acquired—The Giant Dragons of Life and Destruction!]

[Recommended Level: 70!]

[Quest Description: The two Giant Dragons have been rivals and partners for countless centuries. Now, Mare Rhine hopes you will assist her in finding the trail of Mira, the Giant Dragon who represents life!]

[Quest Objective: Find the Giant Dragon who represents life!]

[Quest Reward: Mare Rhine’s rank-up materials!]

’Why is the Recommended Level for this quest as high as 70?’

Su Xuan stared at the quest information provided by Mare Rhine, a deep worry etched between his brows.

Though their Guild’s strength was considerable, facing an enemy above Level 70 was undoubtedly still dangerous.

Their previous clash with the Level 70 Undead Bone Dragon had been a narrow victory, one they’d only achieved after significantly weakening its Attributes. Even with Mare Rhine and Viora on their side now, fighting a powerhouse above Level 70 and coming out unscathed... seemed nearly impossible.
