Enlightenment: Beginning as a Disposable Warrior
Chapter 705: Reflecting the Outside World, Killing Without a Trace! (3)
The bandit dressed as a woodcutter was furious as Su Mu ignored him. Last year, he successfully reached the Seventh Grade Yijin. Even their leader, the Black Wolf Saber, wouldn’t dare to underestimate him so easily.
“Courting death!”
The woodcutter roared angrily, the long saber in his hand slashing through the air fiercely toward Su Mu’s head. This vicious and swift strike aimed to split Su Mu in two!
“Hiss!”
But before the saber could fall, a faint ‘pop’ echoed instantly. The woodcutter’s eyes widened, and a speck of blood shot from the center of his brow. A terrifying blood hole pierced through his head in an instant.
Su Mu stepped forward once more, and the woodcutter’s body softened and fell to the ground with a thud.
“This, this…”
Both parties inside the inn were dumbfounded by the scene, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
“Did he strike just now?”
“Why, why couldn’t I see when he made his move?”
A gasp of breath filled the air. Lin, the Leader of the Escort, was indescribably shocked. The youth he had believed to be harmless turned out to be the most terrifying presence in the room.
Just now, the woodcutter’s saber power had certainly reached that of a Seventh-Grade Muscle-Enhancing Martial Artist. Even he had no assurance of easily defeating the woodcutter. Yet such a character died abruptly before the handsome youth, with no one able to see when Su Mu attacked!
As the corpse fell with a thud, Su Mu carried his food and drink across the threshold and walked out of the inn.
“Killing unseen, Daoist Cultivator, that guy must be a Daoist Cultivator!”
The darts masters and bandits alike shivered, cold sweat pouring as they gazed at the fallen corpse. Quickly, someone gasped aloud, believing they recognized Su Mu’s technique.
“Damn it! How could a Daoist Cultivator appear in this wretched place?!”
Qiu Changyun had long set his sights on Lin and his group, planning to move on after this job. Who would have thought such a Daoist Cultivator would emerge in this broken place?
In this world, martial artists occupy at least ninety percent, the remaining less than ten percent comprising Three Religions Cultivators and Gu Cultivators. Gu Cultivators within Great Yan can be directly ignored.
There are almost no Loose Cultivators among the remaining Three Religions Cultivators, as their cultivation methods are mostly held by Holy Land Families or sects. Not to mention, that guy just killed his deputy without anyone being able to see when he struck.
All of this clearly indicated that the opponent’s power and background were far beyond what they could compare to!
“That guy’s strength… must be a scion of one of the noble families in the Commandery City. Big brother, what should we do?”
A bandit, trembling and afraid, spoke with a quivering voice.
“Go!”
Qiu Changyun’s expression changed several times, daring not to linger. He immediately barked in a cold voice, and the bandits rushed out as fast as they could, fleeing the inn and leaving the darts masters stunned in place.
“This… have I just been saved?”
Master Liu looked at this bizarre scene, baffled. He couldn’t help but touch his neck, which had just been pressed by two long sabers, unable to believe everything that had just happened.
“Who exactly is that guy? The second leader was killed by him just like that!”
After fleeing several miles, over thirty bandits dared to stop and catch their breath with lingering fear still evident on their faces. Qiu Changyun, the leader of the group, remained silent.
After walking another half a mile, Qiu Changyun suddenly snorted coldly.
“Hmph! It’s just because he ran fast. Otherwise, I’d let him know the true power of the Black Wolf Saber. I would surely decapitate him and use his skull as a goblet for drinking!”
After venting his harsh words toward the inn, Qiu Changyun turned around.
“Pop!”
A sudden pop exploded unexpectedly, and all the bandits felt a wave of heat on their faces, their footsteps halted, their pupils shrinking in fear. A headless corpse had appeared beside them at some point.
Fresh blood, mixed with brain matter, spattered all over them.
