Chapter 586: Prepare For Trouble, And Make It Double [Part 2]

The ladies and the gents all looked at Alex, who was currently doing his best to remain calm.

He normally had nothing interesting to look at. But with this add-on, they could probably stare at him for another day.

On his lap sat a six to eight-year old version of Latifa, hugging him tightly.

“Heh, I love you, Papa,” Lala said with a face full of satisfaction. “Hehehe… it feels so nice to hug you like this nano.”

“”Papa?””

Lavinia and Evangeline sharply turned their heads to Latifa, who was just as confused as they were.

Lotte and Lumi stood at the side with serious expressions, recognizing that their two guests were also Alters.

“Ara? Why does everyone look so serious?” the mature version of Latiffa, Lulu, said before sitting beside Alex with a smile. “Everyone, calm down. We’re not here to hurt anyone. Isn’t that right, Papa?”

Alex’s body subconsciously shuddered. Lulu’s character was nearly the same as the one he remembered in the game.

And since she was Latifa’s mature version, she looked… incredibly good.

Truth be told, Alex played gymnastics with his eyes, darting around everywhere but her face and body. He could just feel that the consequences of one wrong look would be very dangerous.

Not to mention, Lala was cuddling with him, and he didn’t have the heart to push the adorable girl away.

The real Lala was a timid girl and embodied Latifa’s shyness from when she was young. Since this was the reverse world Lala, she was a bit bolder and clingier than her normal counterpart.

As for Lulu… she was an exception.

She hid her intelligence and acted like a fawning older sister who liked to spoil anyone younger than her.

But the truth couldn’t be any different. She was the most ruthless among all the Alters, possessing powers that bent the rules of reality.

Right now, Alex feared that this Lulu was the Femme Fatale version. After all, that meant that she would be extremely dangerous.

This Lulu wouldn’t bother to hide behind charades and would simply smile while tearing her opponent’s body apart, limb by limb.

“R-Right, guys. Let’s all… calm down.” Ironically, Alex struggled to remain calm despite doing his best.

Since they were Latifa’s Alters, they probably wouldn’t hurt Latifa, Lumi, and Lotte.

But the same couldn’t be said for everyone else inside the clubroom. The two newcomers might be viewing them as enemies.

Lala giggled, then planted a kiss on the young man’s left cheek.

“Papa is so smart nano!” Lala praised. “The Papa I’m used to is very ruthless. This caring version of him makes me very happy nano!”

“Indeed.” Lulu moved closer to Alex and kissed his right cheek. “I wouldn’t mind taking this version of Papa back home with us.”

Lavinia and Evangeline couldn’t help their temper from slightly rising every time the two strangers messed with Alex. But, just as they were about to act, Lumi, and Lotte moved in front of them, and blocked their path.

“Don’t,” Lumi warned. “They’re strong. Very strong.”

Lotte nodded. “Don’t mess with them.”

The current Latifa was a Rank 3 Celestial Walker. This allowed her to manifest two Alters, namely Lotte and Lumi.

Since Lulu and Lala were here, this meant that they manifested after Latifa surpassed Rank 3. There were two of them, so the Latifa in the other world was definitely a Rank 5 Celestial Walker… or higher.

The higher Latifa’s rank, the stronger her Alters. In other words, the two guests were extremely powerful in battles.

They didn’t know the abilities of the two Laters . However, the mere sight of the mature version of Latifa made even Lumi feel anxious.

“B-By the way, Lala and Lulu, what are the two of you doing here?” Alex asked as he did his best to remain calm.

There had been no instance in the game when the portal that led to the Reverse Arcana opened up during the Protagonist’s First Year in the academy.

This only happened when they were Second Years, and much stronger than their current selves.

“Ah, you see… Papa went on a journey and told us not to look for him nano,” Lala replied. “I got very lonely, so I asked Lulu-Nee to help me look for Papa. But, the Papa in our world is very scary when angry, so we thought that going here to check on our younger and kinder Papa is safer.”

Lala hugged Alex happily. “This version of Papa is indeed very nice. My original Papa doesn’t slap me like he always does to Lumi-Nee, but he also won’t let me sit on his lap like this. If I do so without his permission, he would probably strangle me before slamming my head on a wall.”

Alex couldn’t help but shudder after hearing Lala’s revelation. Even Lumi was shocked at the little girl’s revelation of how Alex treated her in Reverse Arcana.

“Indeed…” Lulu tilted her head slightly before shifting her gaze to Chuck and Renard. “Heh… these boys are also here, huh? Chuck the Dominator, who whips Mary, Eleanora, and Princess Xenia daily to discipline them like dogs.

“And Renard who trusts everyone no matter how many times he’s betrayed. Even I feel sorry for that guy. I hope this version of him isn’t that stupid.”

Then her gaze landed on Charles, making her frown.

“I’ve been meaning to ask earlier, but who are you?” Lulu inquired. “I never saw you in Reverse Arcana.”

Alex blinked once then twice before a dawn of realization descended on him. When he first appeared in Arcana, his priority was to save Charles and prevent him from dying in the Dungeon of Beginnings.

The him in Reverse Arcana probably wouldn’t give a damn if Charles died or not. That meant that the young man had followed his original destiny of dying in the Dungeon of Beginnings in that world.

“Hmm… I also don’t remember seeing him nano.” Lala glanced at Charles with great curiosity. “Could he be one of those ’Exceptions’?”

Lulu smiled faintly before making a gesture for Charles to come closer to her. Naturally, the young man didn’t do as she was told, which made the smile on Lulu’s face widen a bit.

A moment later, Charles cried out in pain as both of his legs bent into an impossible angle, which made Lala, who was sitting on Alex’s lap, giggle as if she was seeing something very funny.
