Chapter 393: Glaciana The Ice Elf And Overlord

The fireball descended with terrifying speed.

Heat waves rippled outward as the massive sphere of flames grew larger and larger, causing the air itself to seem as though it were catching fire. Even the ground below began cracking from the intense temperature radiating from the attack.

Caelus’s expression immediately turned deadly serious.

He could feel the power contained within that attack, and it was far beyond anything he had faced before. In fact, it was so powerful that even he and Sylvia would struggle to deal with it together.

The disparity was simply too great.

"Sylvia, get back!"

Caelus stepped forward and began gathering every ounce of power within his body. There was only one option left to him now, his Full Dragon Transformation.

He had never used it since obtaining it after perfecting his Half-Dragon form. The power it contained was immense, but so were the risks that came with unleashing it. Nevertheless, if he didn’t use it now, everyone would die.

Blue scales began spreading across his skin as his transformation started, while his horns gradually grew longer and his eyes began blazing with draconic fury.

However, just as he was about to complete the transformation, the world suddenly changed.

A massive crack echoed through the battlefield.

The temperature plummeted in an instant.

Frost spread across the ground like a living thing, crawling up buildings and freezing everything it touched. The air turned white with countless ice crystals, and Caelus’s breath became visible as a cloud of mist.

Winter had descended without warning.

Caelus looked up at the incoming fireball and watched in disbelief as it was completely consumed by ice. The flames sputtered and died before being frozen solid in mid-air, after which the entire attack shattered into millions of crystalline fragments.

The pieces rained down harmlessly before dissolving completely.

Then, a terrifying pressure descended upon the battlefield.

A thunderous boom echoed through the air as an overwhelming aura erupted from the sky. The pressure was so powerful that Caelus felt his knees buckle slightly, while Sylvia grabbed his arm to steady herself. Even the strongest members of their group stumbled backward under the immense force.

Two figures floated at the center of that pressure.

One was surrounded by a blazing fiery aura, with flames dancing around his body like loyal servants. His eyes burned with literal fire, while the crimson robes covering his body seemed to have been woven directly from flames.

The other figure was wrapped in an icy aura. Frost clung to her form like a second skin, and her presence radiated absolute cold. Her hair was pure white, while her eyes shone like frozen stars.

Caelus recognized her immediately.

"Hey, Sylvia," he said without taking his eyes off the figures above. "Isn’t that the Ice Elf who dealt with the Hollow Beast in our world?"

Sylvia’s eyes widened as recognition dawned on her.

"Glaciana!"

Neither of them had expected to encounter her again, especially not in the Star King World.

High above them, Glaciana turned her attention toward the flame-covered man.

"Fedrick." Her voice remained calm, although an unmistakable edge of ice accompanied her words. "What exactly are you doing?"

Fedrick laughed loudly, flames flickering around his body with every movement.

"What does it look like, Glaciana? A new territory appeared near mine, so I’m simply claiming what belongs to me."

"It appeared near my territory as well."

"Whoever discovers it first should have the right to claim it," Fedrick replied with a smirk. "And I discovered it first."

Glaciana’s expression remained unchanged.

"I discovered it long before you arrived. I was merely waiting to see what you would do."

"I was observing from the side to see what you would do." Glaciana tilted her head slightly. "And I find your character lacking."

Flames immediately exploded around Fedrick’s body.

"You dare insult me?!" His voice boomed across the sky. "You severely underestimate the power of an Overlord, Ice Elf!"

Glaciana didn’t even flinch.

"You are not an Overlord yet, Fedrick. You merely possess an Overlord-Rank Combat Score."

"I will be soon!" Fedrick thrust a finger toward her. "I’m only missing a few more Origin Energy! Once I break through, you will regret this day!"

Glaciana stared at him for a long moment before the temperature around her dropped even further.

"Leave."

Her single word carried the weight of absolute authority.

"Otherwise, we will have problems."

Fedrick’s flames wavered under the pressure of her aura, and although he clearly wanted to continue arguing, he eventually clicked his tongue in frustration.

"Fine. But mark my words, Glaciana. You will not rule this region forever."

With that, he turned around and shot away, leaving behind a trail of fire that gradually disappeared into the distance.

As he left, the oppressive pressure in the air gradually faded.

Glaciana then descended toward the Genesis Kingdom territory, allowing her icy aura to recede as she landed gracefully before Caelus and the others.

Up close, she was even more beautiful than Caelus remembered. Her features were sharp and elegant, almost as though they had been carved from perfect ice.

Her frozen eyes swept across the group before finally settling on Caelus.

"I did not expect to encounter you again so soon."

Caelus bowed his head slightly in respect.

"Neither did we. Thank you for saving us."

Glaciana’s gaze shifted toward Ayame, and a flicker of recognition passed through her eyes. She gave Ayame a small nod, which Ayame returned with a slightly confused expression.

Glaciana then turned her attention back toward Caelus.

"Has the Path to Worlds opened in your Tier 1 world again?"

"Yes," Caelus confirmed. "We just ascended."

Hearing this, Glaciana studied him more closely.

"Then you must be the first ones to complete the journey. Interesting. You possess Emperor-Rank strength despite technically being only Ace-Rank. Your Combat Score is... 1.12?"

Caelus nodded.

"Something like that."

"Impressive for newcomers." Glaciana folded her arms. "But impressive will not keep you alive here. The Star King World is far more dangerous than anything you have faced before."

She let out a small sigh before continuing.

"I will offer you protection for one year. During that time, no one will dare attack your territory while you remain under my banner."

Caelus’s eyes widened slightly.

"Why would you help us?"

"Consider it an investment." The faintest hint of a smile appeared on Glaciana’s lips. "I see potential in you. If you can become significantly stronger during this year, you should be able to survive on your own."

She stepped closer, her frozen eyes locking directly onto Caelus’s.

"But you must reach Emperor-Rank. That should be your highest priority right now. Do you have what it takes?"

Caelus met her gaze without flinching, and a confident smile gradually spread across his face.

"We do."

Glaciana studied him for another moment before finally nodding.

"Good."

She reached into her robes and pulled out a small crystalline device. It pulsed with cold blue light, while intricate runes covered its surface.

"Take this." She placed the device in Caelus’s hand. "This teleportation device will transport you directly to my territory. Once you reach Emperor-Rank, come find me."
