“I know about every thread in Adam’s arsenal.”

Relana’s voice echoed through the training hall as she stepped forward slowly. Just as Adam had earlier, Silvana immediately sensed how Relana’s aura had changed the moment that unusual, long sword appeared in her grip, even though the weapon’s materials were ordinary and simple.

“He has white threads that have always been the foundation of his power. They aren’t the most powerful, but they’ve been part of his needle for a long time. Then, he has amber threads that emanate from his artifact.”

Relana paused as her aura grew stronger and stronger.

“He can use the amber threads in only one of his abilities, but the firepower they provide is impressive. The black threads come directly from the dark energy he possesses. Controlling them is difficult, but they are what allow the amber threads to unleash their power and are also part of some of his other abilities.”

Then, she took a step forward as a glint flashed across her blade.

“His Nexus gave him the red threads, which can become any weapon at his will and take whatever shape he needs. Finally, it’s the blue threads’ turn. They simultaneously became Adam’s sword and shield, his guardians, and also your main rival for the number two spot, isn’t that right?”

Silvana frowned. She understood what Relana was talking about.

‘The Silver Weaver…’ Silvana sighed heavily inwardly.

“Now, you’ve finally created your threads, but what are they capable of? If all your purple threads can do is turn into blades, then they’re just a weak and useless version of the red threads.”

Relana’s voice was cold and harsh. She showed Silvana no mercy whatsoever, and this elicited only a bitter smile from Silvana.

“Huh, are you trying to scare me? I know that. I just needed to brush aside a monster like you, or I would have already lost and wouldn’t have been able to show what I’m capable of.”

“Hmm?”

Silvana’s confidence grew as her smile slowly turned into a smug smirk.

“The job of any support or weapon is to make their warrior stronger. I’ll never be like Adam, I don’t have the same power or experience as he does, but I can help him and not be afraid of the enemies he fights. Now, I’m sure of that.”

At that very moment, the purple threads stopped trembling and flowed in unison toward her chest.

The threads formed a seal over her chest, which then settled over her heart.

Relana didn’t interfere with Silvana. She watched the process from the sidelines, with a touch of amusement and curiosity.

Once the seal was in place, the new purple threads stopped appearing, and Silvana closed her eyes.

She directed all her threads toward a single seal, so that in the future she could help Adam win even before she became his Nexus.

“Relana is right. Adam’s Nexus gives him the red threads, which he can use to create both weapons and various attacks. When I become his Manifest Nexus, I’ll have that power as well, which means I need something that could complement it.”

Silvana slowly opened her eyes as a purple hue, faint but noticeable, appeared at the edges of her pupils.

‘The red threads give him weapons and make his attacks stronger, but I’ll make him stronger himself!’

Tremble.

The seal on her chest trembled, sending a wave of energy throughout her body.

At that very moment, Silvana swung her blades and lunged forward.

The floor cracked where she had just been, and in the blink of an eye, she was right in front of Relana.

SLASH!

Silvana swung her blades just as Relana leaned back.

The blades whizzed right past her face, slicing off a lock of her platinum hair.

That wasn’t enough for Silvana, as she continued to attack, swinging her blades vigorously at a speed she hadn’t been capable of before.

Relana stepped back, moving just enough to dodge Silvana’s attacks.

Still, Silvana’s slashes left scratches or light cuts on Relana’s face, or at least grazed her clothes.

“Not bad.” Relana nodded before leaning forward.

Silvana reacted, but Relana was faster.

The hilt of her sword slammed into Silvana’s stomach, causing her to freeze for a moment from the sharp pain.

Relana grabbed Silvana by the arm and threw her forward.

“If Adam were in your place with that enhancement, he might have been able to withstand a few attacks against me.”

Silvana did a somersault in the air, landing on the ground.

“Ah? What are you talking about? I’ve been fighting you for a while now! I can see your attacks too!”

Relana shook her head.

“No, you haven’t seen my attacks yet.”

Step.

One step was enough for Relana to appear right in front of Silvana, causing her eyes to widen in disbelief.

“Now I’ll show you what I’m talking about.”

In the next instant, Relana swung her sword.

That was the end of their fight.

Gush!

Blood gushed out in several streams as Silvana collapsed to the ground. Her eyes trembled, filled with confusion.

‘What… What just happened? She just swung her sword and then…’

Silvana’s entire body was covered in deep cuts, and just as with Adam, Relana had targeted her muscles and tendons.

“All of this is just a memory and an illusion. You know it, and I know it. Still, I have to say you put up a good fight.”

Silvana gulped, mustering her last ounce of strength.

“What happens now…?”

Relana raised her sword.

“Now, you’ll return to the real world, and there’s only one way out of here. Victory was never an option.”

Before Silvana could say anything, Relana’s sword came crashing down on her as Silvana’s head flew to the side in a cold, yet unreal, execution.

“GHA!”

Silvana jolted awake, her face full of terror.

She was breathing heavily as she sat atop a layer of clouds.

“Finally…”

Gladius muttered with a satisfied smile as he collapsed to the ground and closed his eyes.

“I’m so tired, but it was worth it, wasn’t it?”
