Endless Evolution: Last Star

Chapter 1587 1587: Three Attacks

Chapter 1587 1587: Three Attacks

All monsters at the Lord Level, like the Phantoms, possessed powerful abilities. In fact, they didn't use their abilities very often because after the Arc was summoned, there was usually no need to.

If a Lord summoned his Arc, then most likely the battle was coming to an end, and his opponent did not have long to live, but not this time.

In some ways, Goen's situation was similar to that of Saegar fighting against the Lords from the Befallen Crown.

Only when they showed their star abilities did a real threat appear.

Sure, even that didn't help the Lords win, but now they were facing not Saegar and Kenward, but an unknown hunter who, surprisingly, possessed great power.

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

The azure arrows were about to rain down on Goen from above, while the flaming pillars rose from the left.

His calm gaze turned to the left only to see the lightning dragons eager to sink their fangs into his flesh and tear him to pieces.

Three abilities of this level possessed enough power to defeat most monsters at the Primal Lands, but the unknown hunter remained calm.

'Well, what else did I expect from them? Judging by their actions, I doubt they've ever fought even a single Second Rank Phantom before.'

Goen turned to the flaming pillars as he stomped on the ground.

"Back!" Liliane exclaimed with a wave of her hand. She decided that Goen had finally decided to show his Nexus.

The others reacted immediately, staring at Goen with fear in their eyes. The only exception was the Old Horn, who was curious to see how this hunter would get out of this situation.

Tremble.

The space shook as a mass of pure energy headed toward Goen's tightly clenched fist.

Liliane's eyes widened when she realized one thing—it was Goen using his energy and physical might simultaneously to strike.

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.

The stone pillars covered in flames smashed into the ground. The flames engulfed Goen from all sides, and soon only a handful of ashes would remain of him.

"Gha..." Goen exhaled cold air as he looked at the fifth team through the stream of flames before his eyes.

His muscles tensed, his torso arched, and he delivered a crushing blow forward.

The bare fist slammed into the stone pillars, causing a shockwave that swept away everything in its path.

In the blink of an eye, there was no trace left of the hammer man's ability.

It wasn't Goen's ability or some artifact he had secretly used. No, his pure energy was enough to turn the enemy's attack into nothing, and that was it.

The azure arrows and lightning dragons continued to move despite the shock of the fifth team, and Goen was ready for it.

He spun around sharply as he threw his palms forward, one up and the other to the left.

The shockwave threw the azure arrows aside and tore the lightning dragons to pieces.

These abilities turned out to be even lower level than the flaming pillars.

"Ah..." Goen stretched his shoulder as if it were just a warm-up for him. "Great. Now I'm definitely awake."

He looked at Liliane over his shoulder.

"What's next?"

Liliane's lips trembled. She hadn't expected that even three star abilities would be powerless against Goen. That wasn't part of her plan.

"Silent?" Goen tilted his head, coldness filling his eyes. "I see. It seems it was a mistake to expect anything more from you."

Whooooooooosh.

In a heartbeat, Goen appeared in front of the hammer man, who froze in place in horror.

"You know, coming to the snow lands with fiery abilities is bad form."

A shadow fell over the hammer man from Goen's looming hand. He knew what would happen to him next, but for some reason, he couldn't move.

Fear chained him in place, preventing him from even taking a step to the side. It was the result of the simple difference in power between the two of them.

"Hey."

The Old Horn grabbed Goen's wrist, stopping him at the last moment.

"Don't be so serious. I don't think this guy will try to destroy your cozy place anymore."

Goen turned his gaze to him.

"Do you think that matters?"

"Agh?"

"You came to kill one of us. Killing each of you is my ancient duty."

Thrust!

Blood spurted from the hammer man's chest as the Old Horn looked down. Goen's left hand plunged into the man's chest up to the wrist, crushing his heart without mercy.

A shiver ran through the Old Horn's body as he jumped back, ready for battle.

"Y-You..." The hammer man gasped before falling at Goen's feet.

His blood flooded the frosty ground beneath him, before the eyes of his comrades with whom he had fought hundreds of battles.

"NOOOO!" The axe man shouted, preparing to unleash his fury on Goen, but the pale man appeared before him just in time.

"Stop."

The pale man bit his lip. Even he couldn't remain emotionless in such a situation.

"If you attack him now, all you will achieve is your own death."

The red-haired girl gulped.

'He made it look so easy... Could he have killed any of us all this time, and we wouldn't even have been able to defend ourselves?'

Adam and Alexia, who were watching from above, were just as shocked. Even Saegar had to use his Arc and abilities to kill the Lords with a swing of his weapon.

Goen, in turn, used his pure power, his body that had gone through countless battles to achieve its form.

However... someone remained calm even after that.

"Well, well, I didn't think it would happen so soon." The young man shook his head, feeling no pity for his fallen mate. "It's his fault for being so weak."

"Hey, you!" Alexia exclaimed. "Don't you care about him at all?!"

The young man spread his arms wide.

"Yeah, something like that. But his sacrifice will not be in vain."

His eyes narrowed as he looked at Liliane.

"Because now our captain is really angry."
