Chapter 1574 1574: From Beast to Hunter

"How long have you been living here? Did you build this house yourself?"

Goen nodded.

"Every stone, log, and thing here was made by my own hands. What can I say? Carving a spoon out of wood with the right depth turned out to be more difficult than defeating a monster, but only the first time. After some time, I got the experience."

"What are you going to do next?"

Goen shrugged.

"I need to gather firewood. I would invite you to come with me, but—"

Before Goen could finish, Adam's eyes closed as he fell onto the sofa. He was already asleep.

He glanced at Alexia before getting up and going outside.

Goen didn't have to worry that someone would sneak in and attack Adam and Alexia while he was gone. He wasn't going to go too far, and none of the monsters around would dare to do so.

No beast would want to feel his wrath.

If a hunter could not only survive surrounded by monsters but also build a home for himself among their lands, it showed how great his power was.

"The hunter who lives in the Primal Lands and fed Adam soup?" Alexia frowned. "If his name is Goen, then you must have learned something about him, right?"

'No information, either about him or his power level. Although from what I saw, he's most likely a Second Rank Phantom. But that didn't surprise me. Maybe there really is no information about him, or maybe I'm just denied access. Something else is bothering me.'

Louis's gaze became more serious than ever.

'Where is his Operator?'

Alexia blinked several times.

The events after defeating Vaarh were chaotic due to the wyverns' attack, but she had a little time to look at Goen before he knocked her out with an energy pulse.

She had been hanging onto his back but hadn't heard him communicate with anyone, and she hadn't seen anyone else near them. Moreover, neither Adam, Louis, nor Silvana had noticed anyone else in Goen's house besides him.

"Huh, I didn't even think about that. Well, she's probably somewhere nearby or lives at the Citadel."

Louis tilted his head, confused.

'Do you think they meet at the Citadel every few months? Do they have some kind of long-distance relationship?'

Alexia sighed heavily.

"I don't know. But, we should definitely find out more about it, and..."

"What the hell is that noise?!"

Despite her shout, Adam continued to sleep soundly. He had become stronger after reaching the Highest Bliss, but he had used up all his resources to defeat Vaarh.

As soon as she stepped outside, she immediately understood the cause of the sound.

In the distance, Goen was swinging his axe over and over, delivering powerful strikes to the same spot, gradually cutting through the sturdy tree trunk.

'He's just chopping wood, and it's causing vibrations throughout the entire area? Agh, this will still be more interesting than watching Adam sleep.'
