After saying all this, Palmer added, "I hope your friends are healthy and won’t die so easily."

The recent joy of victory in the skirmish had vanished without a trace; the atmosphere turned heavy and oppressive, and Palmer’s words left everyone short of breath.

"Is what he said true?" Yolanda asked Olivia.

Olivia gently hummed in agreement, acknowledging the information.

An invisible sense of despair lingered in the darkness at the bottom of the forge pit until Bologue spoke, his voice maintaining that steady tone, seemingly unaffected by the oppressive atmosphere.

"How do you think the All Secrets Order plans to transport the Bloodfolk out? A large Curved Path Gate?"

"I don’t think it’s feasible," Olivia said, "You should know the various limitations of the Curved Path Gate; it exponentially increases resource consumption based on shuttle distance and number of people."

"Isn’t it too costly to just transport these Bloodfolk?" Bologue murmured, "In the end, it comes down to an economic calculation."

Economy, resources... these are the key factors that dominate and limit humanity. If there were endless resources, legendary Crowned ones would have been born among humans long ago, and humanity wouldn’t be confined to the surface, just like in Bologue’s ’past life’ memories, they would have ventured among the stars.

"Within this Land of Secrets, there should be some secret passageway connecting to the outside world. Through this, the All Secrets Order has transported countless Imperfect out."

Bologue looked towards the nearby massive foundation of the Supreme Hub, "For safety and concealment, it’s most likely that."

After confirming the direction and situation, Bologue suddenly halted his steps, turned back to Yannis and Yolanda, and said, "Thank you for your help. That’s enough for now."

Yolanda stared dazedly at Bologue, wanting to say something, but ultimately smiled helplessly, "Indeed, if we keep following you, we’ll only hinder your battle."

Bologue nodded gently and suddenly said, "I’m sorry."

"Sorry for what?"

"The recent battle."

Bologue looked into the distance. Even though the Condensers and Aurora Path tried their best to salvage, hundreds of tons of giant rocks eventually fell, crushing one factory after another.

Scattered explosions rang out, stretching flames soared high like torches, consuming who knows how many lives.

Bologue sincerely said, "That’s how war is, no matter how restrained, it’s inevitable to involve others."

Yolanda looked at Bologue in unexpected astonishment, not expecting this powerful Defender to say such things to her.

She asked, "Are all the Condensers outside like this?"

"At least I am," Bologue said, "Power is just a tool, nothing more."

Yolanda showed a bitter smile and sighed, "It’s nothing, such matters always involve bloodshed... Besides, I have no right to speak for them, I only hope the blood shed is meaningful, hope it can change something."

"It certainly will."

Bologue responded with great idealism.

Facing these words that struck the ground, Yolanda’s mood became increasingly complex. Even though she had steeled herself in advance, when reality truly arrived before her, she still couldn’t help but feel perplexed.

"Are you all so strong and rational, or is it just you?"

This should be her last conversation with Bologue. Yolanda wanted to understand this strange person more, just like she was curious why Bologue liked movies. Yolanda always felt that movies were a comfort for Imperfect like her to escape reality, a rare mercy from High Tier Condensers.

"Perhaps."

Bologue wanted to say that the professionals of the Order Bureau are like this, but when the words came to his lips, he remembered a truly unique exception right beside him.

"What’s wrong?" Palmer noticed Bologue’s gaze.

"Things will get better eventually."

Bologue said as he waved goodbye to Yolanda, then added, "See you next time."

No one knows if there will be a next time.

Yolanda and Yannis gradually disappeared into the darkness. Bologue wasn’t worried about their safety. As members of the Ossana faction, they likely had their ways of protecting themselves in this forge pit.

In contrast, Bologue should be more concerned about himself; they were fighting alone, deep in enemy territory, no one knows if a Defender, a Seeker of Glory, or perhaps these enemies would all appear together next.

"Someone’s coming."

The airflow was disturbed, and Palmer, like an alert spider, sensed the anomaly on the web and warned, "It should be Condensers."

This situation was within Bologue’s expectations. As they approached the Supreme Hub, the All Secrets Order’s defenses became increasingly tight.

Bologue guessed that after the comprehensive sealing of the forge pit, the Ancestral Council probably dispatched patrol squads. They wouldn’t attempt to confront Bologue directly, but upon discovering Bologue, would immediately signal others.

Only High Tier Condensers can restrict Bologue; Condensers lower than Defenders coming over would merely increase casualties.

This time, without needing Bologue’s reminder, Olivia proactively expanded the shadows, draping the night over the three, merging them with the darkness.

They were getting closer to the Supreme Hub. When the towering gray-white structure loomed into view, all three couldn’t help but feel a suffocating pressure.

"How should we get in? Charge through?" Palmer whispered, "Even if we try to charge, there’s no door here, right?"
