Chapter 6212: Become A Monk?
Chapter 6212: Become A Monk?
"A broken and deserted place like Old Ruin has no treasures to speak of." Li Xian hurriedly said. His biggest fear was having cultivators come here and destroy everything.
"Who knows? True Dragon Court didn't have a clue about its immortal tripod until Dingtian excavated it." The monarch laughed.
"That's true." The others heard of this story before.
"Wait, True Dragon Court was right here in Old Ruin too." Orchidcore said.
"Old Ruin was the place with all the strongest dao lineages in Three Immortals after all." Princess Chen said.
"This is all in the past, everything worth taking is already taken, there's nothing left." Li Xian said.
In history, big shots came after the formation of Old Ruin, wanting to find the missing treasures from the destroyed dao lineages. Every inch of land had been searched already.
"Well, we will get our answer once we go to the lair, do you wish to do so?" Black Witch Monarch asked with a smile.
The others hesitated despite their curiosity. The issue was the strength of the ghosts and they didn't wish to be buried here.
"It's best not to go, why mingle with the unknown?" Li Xian preferred to have one less problem.
"Go since you all are here already, this is the purpose of training. If you retreat after the first setback, then how will you continue when the future path is full of them?" Li Qiye finally spoke.
The others exchanged glances and became emotional.
"You are right, Fellow Daoist." Orchidcore's eyes lit up as he said: "We are mere clowns if we give up now, wasting the academy's investment in us."
"Fine, we can retreat when things look bad." Princess Chen agreed.
"I have no issue, Amitabha." Monk Zhu placed his palms together.
"I'll go where you guys go." Mu Hu spoke with a mouth full of snacks.
"Well, at least you all aren't completely hopeless." The monarch clapped playfully.
"Rest well tonight, we set out tomorrow." Li Qiye smiled and left the pavilion.
Li Xian hurriedly caught up to him and whispered: "Young Noble, are we really going to this lair or whatever?"
"Are you afraid?" Li Qiye asked.
"Not afraid, just wary of escalation." Li Xian said.
"Don't worry, the sky won't fall down. This is a rare opportunity, a fortune for you too." Li Qiye said and kept on walking.
Li Xian stood in a daze while murmuring: "A fortune?"
He hasn't thought about this because the only thing on his mind was to keep his clan intact.

On the second day, the four young saints arrived early. Li Xian was the only one who didn't wish to go but it wasn't up to him.
"Buzz." Black Witch Monarch summoned a paper crane. With a puff of breath, it led the way forward.
"How did you come up with this witchcraft?" Orchidcore couldn't help but ask. His technique was just different than dao cultivation.
Beans into heavenly generals, garlic into flames, sealing with dog blood... all of these didn't require the dao at all.
"Wasn't hard at all. My thoughts became reality, the stronger, the more possibilities." He laughed and proudly declared.
"Ridiculous, I truly want to become a primal ancestor, I'm still not one." Princess Chen didn't buy it.
"He is completely accurate." Li Qiye smiled: "A thought can become reality, there are endless possibilities."
"Thoughts? They're useless alone." Princess Chen disagreed.
"They do have to be strong and unyielding, there is a process before reaching this point." Li Qiye said.
"How do we carry it out?" Li Xian asked.
"What do you need to do before becoming a Buddha?" Li Qiye asked.
"Become a monk first." Li Xian smiled wryly.
"Amitabha." Monk Zhu knew the answer and said: "Enter the world and seek the dao, grant salvations, and remove calamities. After enough tribulations, one shall reach enlightenment."
"It's the dao heart." Mu Hu jumped in.
"Yes, the dao heart." The monarch chuckled and said: "What, your seniors haven't taught you about it before? Kekeke, no wonder why your cultivation is so shallow and weak, your seniors and masters have let you down, unworthy of being your guides."
Orchidcore, Princess Chen, and Monk Zhu turned red, glaring at him.
"I'm not wrong, you all wouldn't be standing here like fools if they had taught you properly." The monarch said.
"You're the one acting like a fool." The princess couldn't help but retort. Alas, she knew just how much stronger he was compared to them, not to mention being a creator of a unique path.
