Emperor’s Domination

Chapter 6088: Thinks Too Highly of Himself

Chapter 6088: Thinks Too Highly of Himself

The statue was golden and large with treasures floating in the back. He seemed to have countless invisible hands grasping them.

After seeing the treasure, Li Qiye had a strange expression - a smile yet not quite one.

“Is there something amiss, Young Noble?” Six-style noted his peculiar expression.

“Nothing, he just thinks too highly of himself.” He smiled.

She glanced at the statue and asked: “You are talking about him?”

“Yes, but of course, he’s slightly capable.” He replied.

“So you recognized him?” She was surprised.

“Not quite, I have heard of him but he was a living person then.” He shook his head: “The original temple lord didn’t look like this.”

“Might be a takeover.” She said: “It happened occasionally at the ghost temples, but mainly failures.”

If one were strong enough, they had a good chance of taking over a temple. Of course, losing meant becoming a part of the temple just like the rest.

However, becoming a temple lord meant being stuck in the market permanently. Therefore, powerful characters only wanted weapons and treasures instead of a takeover.

“I believe Armament Temple was taken over once. Someone tried to do it to Darkmoon but failed.” She elaborated.

Coiling Moon Emperor had attempted to take over Darkmoon and never came out again. As for Armament Temple, it didn’t use to have this name.

An emperor obsessed with blacksmithing summoned this temple and took over, changing its name to Armament. True to his ability, he continued crafting until the creation of his crown jewel - a weapon known as Heavenly Wrath using priceless materials and a tribulation.

Desired by all, obtained by none - this has been the history of the weapon. Eventually, people gave up and only wanted materials originating from it.

“Come, let us take a look at this grand ghost of Armament Temple.” Li Qiye smiled and said, walking through the hall.

After crossing through the back door, a plain appeared before them. Farther ahead were peaks piercing the sky like swords.

On top of each was a natural dao platform with a dark gold glow, seemingly capable of channeling lightning bolts from a tribulation.

The name of the plain was Arms Dragon Pond, the place where Heavenly Wrath was created. The central area had a bottomless well with water of the lightning affinity.

One could hear crackles while standing from a safe distance. The remnant bolts oozing from the hole could kill any emperor or desolate god.

According to the legend, the grand ghost dug an abyss first before building dao platforms around it. Finally, he tossed priceless materials into the well and channeled tribulation bolts using the platforms for the crafting process.

“Heavenly Wrath is emerging soon.” Powerful cultivators stood on the peaks and observed the situation.

“It always does whenever the temple shows up.” An ancestor said, clearly afraid of the lightning well.

“Just wait to throw more dragon scales when it comes out. The more, the stronger the weapons.” An ancestor whispered.

“Hmph!” Someone scowled and released their anima power, sending those nearby flying.

The crowd followed the source of the blastwave and saw a domineering desolate god.

“Ouyang Dragon God.” Quite a few feared him.

“Looks like I’m late.” A strand of yin and yang appeared to attack an occupied peak.

“Who?!” The numerous ancestors and experts on this peak summoned their weapons and attacked the yin-yang strand.

“Bam!” It utterly obliterated them. The lucky ones were sent flying.

The strand then morphed into a figure with a shadowy imperial aura engulfing the whole peak like a swamp.

“Phantom’s Dragon Pond Emperor!” Those standing on the other peaks shuddered upon seeing him.
