Chapter 733: Frost Shaman

"Demons? Taste the power of the Holy Light!"

Mantou tapped the firing button, and a series of bombs dropped from the wyvern’s belly like raindrops, screaming through the sky.

These bombs were the Empire’s latest model—"Holy Funeral"—etched with Celestial runes, extremely effective against fiendish creatures.

"Boom!"

"Boom boom boom!"

A series of blinding explosions erupted in the demon horde. Each burst of light incinerated a dozen demons, reducing them to ash.

Mantou looked down at the scorched earth he’d created and the rewards flashing across his panel, laughing, "Hahaha! Worth every gold coin I spent on those bombs."

"Careful, demons are approaching your direction."

Singo’s voice came through the earpiece, accompanied by static—clearly the chaotic Abyssal energy was interfering with communication.

"Hmph, like they can catch me. Wait, what the fuck—"

Mantou looked up to see hundreds of vulture-like Vrock demons swarming toward him, shrieking hoarsely like a rolling thundercloud.

"Where the hell did all these demons come from?!"

The airspace ahead was already infested. Mantou gripped the controls and twisted right, stomping the rudder hard.

"Screeeeech—"

The air tore apart as the wyvern banked hard, twin thrusters blazing to max speed.

But another wave of Vrocks came from the front, claiming most of the sky and surrounding Mantou and the wyvern knights.

One Crimson Scaled Conqueror tried to ascend but flew right into the horde. He was torn apart mid-air, his guts and flesh raining down as the demons fought over the remains, leaving behind only stripped-clean bones.

"Savage bastards!"

Horrified, Mantou abandoned the idea of breaking through and squeezed the trigger, firing the wyvern’s machine guns.

"Die!"

"Ratatatatata!"

Bullets rained down. Screeching Vrocks dropped black feathers as they were hit.

But even after the barrel overheated, the demonic swarm hadn’t thinned. In fact, more kept arriving.

"Cawww!"

The Vrocks stretched their necks and let out grotesque bird-like cries.

Then, with chaotic chanting, they clawed the air and flapped tattered wings, circling the knights like a maddened ritual dance.

"What is this..."

Watching the grotesque movements and hearing the cacophony, Mantou felt a splitting headache. His vision blurred, and he clutched his temples.

"Mantou! Snap out of it! Close your eyes, block your ears! You’ll crash if this continues!"

The familiar shout woke Mantou. He quickly jammed earplugs in, blocking out the chants.

He turned his head away, avoiding the hypnotic movements of the Vrocks.

Glancing sideways, he saw several other wyvern knights dizzy and falling off their mounts, instantly torn apart by the swarm.

Cold sweat poured down his face as he typed, "What the hell is that?!"

Singo replied, "Dance of Ruin. When twelve or more Vrocks form a circle, they can trigger this skill. It destroys enemy minds."

"What do we do? We’re trapped."

"Trust me. Stay close. I’m testing a new ability."

"Alright."

"Now! Three o’clock! Follow me!"

Singo shouted. His wyvern roared, releasing a brilliant solar blast from its throat.

"BOOM!"

A massive beam tore the sky apart, burning a hole through the encirclement.

"Go! We don’t have much time!"

Singo folded the wyvern’s wings and dove like an arrow into the breach.

Mantou and the remaining Crimson Scaled Conquerors followed, dashing into the breach while Vrocks shrieked behind them.

But Singo’s wyvern glowed brightly, scorching any Vrock that got close with sizzling burns and black smoke. Their pained cries echoed.

Yet despite the burning pain, the Vrocks chased madly, clustering around the knights.

"Kill them!"

"Tear the humans apart!"

Mantou could even smell the scorched flesh and the vile stench of demon rot.

Accelerate! No matter the cost! Mantou slammed the boost. Four exhaust tubes ignited, shooting him forward with sonic bursts.

At the last second, the knights pierced through the demonic wall, leaving blazing trails in the sky.

"You won’t escape!"

"After them!"

The Vrocks swarmed like a plague, flapping wildly as they gave chase.

Just then, bursts of light rained down, vaporizing over a hundred demons on impact.

Mantou looked up in awe. A small skyship from the Machine God Cult soared overhead, its elemental cannons unleashing volleys that massacred the Vrocks.

"Ain’t that Singo? Damn, getting wrecked by a bunch of Vrocks?"

A smug voice echoed from the battleship. The ramp lowered, revealing the towering figure of Iron Frenzy.

He had fully abandoned the Cult’s original mission, becoming a full-blown battle maniac.

But the Cult didn’t need his leadership anymore. Iron Frenzy held only a nominal title—no actual authority.

Scientists worldwide now kept the massive organization running smoothly, managing projects and affairs. Many were rumored to have government ties.

Coincidentally, the Cult’s real power—five Grand Sages—hailed from five global superpowers.

In every sense, Iron Frenzy had been sidelined.

But he didn’t care. Just a regular guy in real life, he was happy to give up control and dive headfirst into combat.

Now clad in thick crimson-scaled armor, his hulking frame bulged with steel-like muscle.

His right arm was a mechanical prosthetic loaded with circular saws, railguns, and chainswords.

"Damn, the Cult guys are such show-offs. Must be nice to be loaded..." Mantou muttered, grinding his teeth at Iron Frenzy’s expensive gear.

Singo shook his head. "Tsk, that’s the power of big guilds. The Cult’s playing a whole different game.

Iron Frenzy is just their visible strength. Who knows what terrifying things they’ve got hidden?"

"Forget it. Let’s go bomb the frontlines again!"

Wyverns shrieked as they dove toward the frontline demons.

Iron Frenzy grinned and leapt straight off the ship without protection, diving toward the densest part of the horde.

"For the Emperor!"

Several Dragon Scale cultivators followed, shouting in unison, "For the Emperor!"

"BOOM!"

The earth shook. Iron Frenzy landed hard, pulverizing over a dozen demons into paste.

Thunder echoed as twelve Dragon Scale cultivators landed around him in a flurry of dust.

Towering figures rose from the smoke, exuding immense pressure.

Countless demonic eyes locked onto them greedily. To the demons, these newcomers were prey.

In their eyes, no one could resist the tide—not even dragons.

"Tear the mortals apart!"

"He’s mine!"

The demons swarmed. Their whispers and laughter were maddening.

But the cultivators looked at them with equal greed—as walking EXP and contribution points.

Iron Frenzy bared his teeth. "Ready, boys?"

"Energy weapons fully charged," a teammate replied. Iron Frenzy tapped the trigger guard. His "Zeus’ Wrath" railgun glowed blue.

The demons were closing in. He could smell their stench and see the slime on their monstrous bodies.

Now!

"Open fire!" His shout was drowned out by gunfire. Twelve electric blasts ripped through the air.

The front demons vaporized in sparks, but more surged forth like a black tsunami.

The cultivators’ firepower was fierce—each energy bomb turned four or five demons to ash.

But the demons were relentless, soon surrounding them.

Forced to switch to chainswords, they hacked through nearby demons while blasting distant ones.

"You think you can kill me?" Iron Frenzy laughed maniacally, blowing a demon to bits.

"Weak mortals!" A hulking bull demon charged with a warhammer.

"Minotaurs must die!" Iron Frenzy leapt high and cleaved the beast clean in half.

Howls echoed. Abyss Hounds charged in, their lava-veined skin steaming in the cold air.

They were fast. Even light couldn’t track them. One hound closed in within seconds.

"Awooo!"

It launched skyward like a spring, diving at Iron Frenzy.

He sensed the bloody wind, focused, drew his chainsword, and leaned back.

"Screeech!"

The blade sliced through flesh.

The sword tore the beast’s scaled belly open, spilling steaming guts.

Impossible!

A mortal did this?! Its proud scales couldn’t stop the blade!

The hound whimpered, turned, and tried to attack again.

But blood and entrails gushed with every step. It collapsed behind Iron Frenzy.

Straightening, Iron Frenzy boasted, "Trying to pounce again? I’ll just slide-tackle your ass—"

"Frenzy!" Vice-Captain Chen Yan shouted through the wind. "Three o’clock! Big one incoming! Energy readings just spiked past critical!"

"Critical? A Balor Fiend?" Iron Frenzy’s face darkened.

Freezing winds swept in, blizzards turning the world white. Ice crept over the ground.

Through the storm, a massive shadow hovered in the sky.

An Abyssal dragon blanketed in frost—and on its back stood a Tanarukk Frost Giant wielding a staff.

"Mortals, cease your pitiful struggle. Lord Kostchtchie will freeze everything here!"

The robed giant glared down, his eyes radiating bitter cold. Just a glance brought a chill to the soul.

That was a Frost Shaman, Kostchtchie’s chosen.

In the blizzard, more twisted frost giants appeared in the distance, wielding hammers and spears, eyes filled with greed and rage.

They had long been corrupted by the Abyss—now chaotic monsters in every sense.
