Chapter 3007: Pus of God
So it really was the Dragon King? That was far too polite.
As the Flame of Frenzy dissipated, a new prompt popped up beside his ear.
Another inverse shift in his SAN Value and inspiration proved that a new soul had indeed perished beneath the Flame of Frenzy.
Even the exact numbers of this shift continued to prove the exalted status of the vanquished.
Professor Ian's head had only been worth one point, while ten points was the standard for Excellency Father's Amnion.
Although not absolute, it at least proved his eyes hadn't deceived him just now, right?
It was not only the Dragon King, but the real Dragon King—not some illusion conjured up by sleight of hand.
Though because of this, he—the theoretical victim here—was actually starting to feel a little embarrassed.
How many times had this been now?
The Night of Regicide, the Bone Burial Ground... Although he hadn't deliberately chosen Him this time, the number of times he had farmed His Excellency the Dragon King like a standard mob was getting a bit excessive.
Added to his previous stats, his inspiration had now reached twenty-one points.
Furthermore, this indirectly proved a certain hypothesis of his: the source of these continuously coalescing entities was truly that murky undercurrent. The emergence of those previous figures hadn't been this clearly visible, but this time, he had tracked the entire process.
To the point where he was fairly certain the shattered Dragon King had indeed tumbled straight out of that undercurrent.
As for why he was so certain the Dragon King was the same as those previous entities, despite clearly being conjured by the Blasphemy Monarch?
He wasn't entirely certain, but a minor detail supported this conclusion: the Dragon King had just been hiding obediently, without making a single extraneous movement.
Don't forget who was standing in front of Him. Given His "deep friendship" with the King of the Abandoned Prison, Fu Qian leaned toward the belief that if the Dragon King still possessed even a shred of His original will, He would have found it very difficult to remain so calm.
Yes, just like Excellency Father's Amnion before Him, He seemed to possess the power of His Rank but lacked the original owner's will.
So, even though it was the Blasphemy Monarch's doing, the fundamental mechanics behind His appearance likely shared a strong connection with those previous entities.
Of course, this naturally led to another question: how exactly had the Blasphemy Monarch engineered such a result?
And how had He become the only player to retain His self-awareness?
He could only say that the enlightenment from back then hadn't been for nothing. This place truly felt like the Blasphemy Monarch's home turf—so why was this His home turf?
"You can see the Pus of God?"
As if hearing Professor Fu's inner thoughts, the party in question spoke up before he could even ask.
"Pus of God?"
To Fu Qian, this name was quite peculiar.
And it was actually quite fitting—
Filth of a lofty Rank, capable of "corrupting" even the Mechanical Tyrant. The bodies of various higher entities surfaced from it before dissipating...
It even aligned somewhat with the White-Hot Knight's claim that the "seedbed must not be profaned."
A place that permitted no profanation had actually been profaned to the extreme, resulting in the appearance of something as contradictory as the "Pus of God."
So the ritual to advance further as a False God had to be completed while soaking in a solution formed from the corruption of Deities?
Was that why the Mask of the Destined God pointed so firmly toward this place?
Because in this entire world, this was the only place that had it?
Amidst this casual bewilderment, a series of thoughts rapidly linked together in his mind. Fu Qian seemed to have grasped a certain baseline for his own ascension ritual.
"You don't know this name?"
His undisguised reaction was clearly picked up by the Blasphemy Monarch, who revealed a hint of confusion in that moment.
"I've heard of another one that's quite similar."
Fu Qian nodded, not pretending to understand a domain he was unfamiliar with.
As for the "similar one," that was naturally the Pus of Man he had encountered during the mission where he first met the Witch.
Such overly similar names undoubtedly made it easy to draw unpleasant associations regarding the existence of the Bookstore World or the Birthday Party.
Though Fu Qian didn't lean too heavily toward the idea that there was a painting here too.
"You don't even know its name. How could you possibly see it..."
Opposite him, the Blasphemy Monarch was finding it somewhat difficult to digest this information.
He didn't press for the other name, and His tone clearly showed He suspected Fu Qian of lying.
"So how do you know about it?"
Fu Qian had never minded the suspicions of others. In that moment, he merely followed up out of curiosity.
The profaned seedbed had transformed into the Pus of God, and right before his eyes stood a Blasphemy Monarch—it was truly impossible not to draw connections.
"No need to rush. When that moment comes, you'll know without me telling you."
Unfortunately, the Blasphemy Monarch seemed quite tight-lipped. Even with His opponent cooperating so well with His stalling tactics, He remained unwilling to reveal His origins and connection to this place.
Indeed, even if He couldn't compare to the likes of Patches, the dignified Blasphemy Monarch wouldn't be this naive.
Expressing shock and making awkward small talk was merely a way to buy a little time to conjure up His next creation.
As for "that moment" He mentioned, it was actually very easy to understand—they were currently in the middle of mutually profaning each other.
Either you refine me, or I refine you. When the time came, the cognitive barrier between them would cease to exist.
Of course, what the Blasphemy Monarch didn't know was that cognitive barriers were always mutual.
While He closely guarded His secrets, He had no way of knowing that Professor Fu actually didn't mind Him conjuring another one.
His inspiration was still far from ninety-nine. Since he still had plenty of SAN Value to spare, with the Blasphemy Monarch cooperating, he could definitely consider farming some stats here.
"Alright then, how about you tell me what you've molded this time?"
In that moment, Fu Qian didn't push the issue, instead asking with a smile.
...Although He had marveled at Professor Fu being a madman more than once, it seemed the Blasphemy Monarch's perception had just been refreshed once again.
Wasn't his confidence a bit too excessive?
Not only was he certain that he would be the ultimate winner, but he was even deliberately indulging his opponent's little tricks, increasing the difficulty for himself?
"You will see soon enough."
However, one of the core traits of a dignified higher entity was absolute confidence in themselves.
He didn't let His opponent's abstract behavior throw Him off. After a brief silence, the Blasphemy Monarch generously acknowledged Professor Fu's question.
And accompanying this candor, the surging undercurrent in Fu Qian's eyes—or rather, the Pus of God—actually whipped up a bizarre storm.
Something lurking within it unexpectedly exposed itself, seemingly no longer hiding.
However, before Fu Qian could carefully distinguish more of its outline, he caught a glimpse of an unusual radiance.
Sshhk—
Without the slightest hesitation, a Spike as thin as a needle yet incredibly dazzling thrust straight out of the storm, piercing clean through Fu Qian's body.
Unable to remain hidden any longer, the Blasphemy Monarch hadn't wasted the Combat Power of the figures He had molded, choosing to strike proactively instead.
