Chapter 155: Legacy of the Sword Heart (1)
[Identity verification complete. Today's work begins.]
[Warning: Breach incident.]
After the holidays, Fu Qian's life once again settled back into a quiet routine.
Meanwhile, the Warehouse remained as stable as ever, perfectly maintaining its rate of one breach a day.
[Name: Legacy of the Sword Heart. Code: 2-010]
[Today's work has been updated: Enter the 2-010 Containment Scenario and complete re-containment.]
The prompt rang in Fu Qian's ears almost the moment he stepped back into the Warehouse after breakfast.
Following the text hovering before him, Fu Qian ran through his preparations with practiced ease.

[This is the Academy of Mysteries, a place for the study of transcendent power.
In recent years, the sword path has flourished. As the most prosperous branch of the Academy, the Sword Comprehension Institute has produced an endless stream of talent.
A grand event is about to begin—the annual opening of the Sword Pavilion.
Ambitious disciples have prepared long for this moment, all to hone a heaven-shaking strike uniquely their own.
And with it comes a crisis.]
[Task Objective: Destroy the Legacy of the Sword Heart]
The Academy?
Reading the task description, Fu Qian immediately zeroed in on a familiar name.
If he remembered correctly, he had already crossed paths with an Academy exploration team back during the 1-003 task.
He didn't expect to be dropped right into their territory this time.
Judging by Li Weixuan's performance, the Academy had its fair share of experts. He would need to tread carefully.
Especially given this objective, which practically demanded he cause some serious destruction.
Still, looking on the bright side, at least the task sounded somewhat normal this time.
"Why are you still outside? Hurry up, don't waste time."
Just as his senses returned, Fu Qian heard someone shouting nearby.
He turned to see a middle-aged man with a mess of hair standing a short distance away, glaring at him impatiently.
The man was obviously talking to him, but the question was—go in where?
As a task runner who never inherited his host's memories, Fu Qian was completely clueless.
Instead of rushing to answer, he glanced around and found himself standing in front of a rather archaic building.
It stood six stories tall. Its mottled exterior walls spoke to its great age, and its architectural style was heavy and solemn.
This was undoubtedly where the middle-aged man wanted him to go.
"Make it snappy!"
The man pulled open the door behind him and jerked his head, motioning for Fu Qian to get moving.
"Remember, you are restricted to the first three floors. If you trigger a mystical restriction, the consequences are on your own head."
In the face of such warm hospitality, Fu Qian didn't drag his feet. He stepped straight into the building.
The moment he crossed the threshold, an invisible chill washed over him.
The interior was cavernous and structurally bare, displaying a multitude of edged weapons in a seemingly haphazard arrangement.
Heavy broadswords of dark iron, gleaming rapiers cold as autumn water—blades of every kind were staged in all sorts of postures.
Some were even driven straight into the floorboards. The entire space overflowed with a thick, suffocating aura of slaughter.
There was no need to guess; this was definitely the Sword Pavilion mentioned in the scenario prompt.
Fu Qian did a quick count. On this floor alone, there were nearly a hundred swords on display.
And with six floors in total, it was an undeniably rich collection.
According to the description, this place opened once a year for disciples to comprehend and hone their skills. It was a major event for the Academy.
So, was his role an Academy student again?
He wondered if it was the same identity as last time.
Fu Qian mused.
His task was to destroy the Legacy of the Sword Heart. Surely it didn't mean burning this whole place down?
Dozens of students were already hard at work inside the Pavilion. By some tacit agreement, not a single person made a sound.
They moved silently through the hall, occasionally selecting a target and standing before it in deep, focused contemplation.
Because the space was so expansive, there was plenty of room in front of each sword for people to stand without interfering with one another.
Fu Qian was also looking very intently, but his focus was completely different.
With his hands clasped behind his back, he strolled leisurely across the floorboards.
Looking left and right, Fu Qian was practically treating the place like a museum, evaluating the difficulty of destroying each sword one by one.
He didn't have much experience with the sword path; to him, it was just another cultivation method.
However, considering Li Weixuan had reached Peak Tier 4 by age forty, it was undoubtedly an efficient one.
His relaxed posture stood out, and for a moment, he drew quite a few strange looks.
But the students only glanced at him before returning to their comprehension.
The opening of the Sword Pavilion was a rare opportunity, and no one was going to waste precious time on idle curiosity.
However, among the gazes cast his way, Fu Qian spotted a familiar face.
That guy from the exploration team last time... Yuan Xin, wasn't it?
Recalling his experience in 1-003, Fu Qian was fairly certain that was his name.
But the man clearly didn't recognize him; his gaze swept blankly right past Fu Qian.
Either the timeline of this task was set before 1-003, or the fallout from 1-003 had completely erased all traces of his previous identity.
Fu Qian quickly narrowed it down to these two possibilities.
Regardless of which it was, it meant his previous identity was useless. That wasn't exactly good news.
After finishing his lap around the floor and glancing at the others still hard at work, Fu Qian prepared to head upstairs.
Just as he was about to move, he noticed the middle-aged man from earlier rushing into the hall.
After sweeping his gaze around the room, the man made a beeline for him and lowered his voice.
"Take out your student card. You didn't register."
Student card?
Fu Qian paused, then patted down his pockets.
Finally, under the middle-aged man's impatient stare, he fished out something resembling a meal card and handed it over.
...
Unexpectedly, the middle-aged man didn't reach out to take it. Instead, he just stared straight at Fu Qian, his expression screaming, Are you fucking kidding me?
"What's wrong?"
"This is your card?"
"Is there a problem?"
Fu Qian genuinely found the reaction strange.
He had glanced at the card before handing it over; it didn't have a name or a photo on it.
Was this guy clairvoyant? How could he tell there was a problem without even swiping it?
"It's a huge problem!"
The middle-aged man's brows pinched into a deep frown. He reached out and pinched Fu Qian's card between two fingers.
"First of all, this isn't a student card. This is the design issued to Academy instructors."
"Secondly, judging by the color, this isn't even from the Sword Comprehension Institute. It's an Identity Card for the Apocalypse Branch!"
For some reason, when the middle-aged man mentioned the word 'Apocalypse,' his face twisted with undisguised disgust.
"If this is yours, would you care to explain why you're wearing a Sword Comprehension Institute uniform?"
