"No rush." His face slowly moved closer to hers, "Which aspects are you dissatisfied with, darling? You haven’t mentioned them yet."

How could she possibly say it! But seeing him like this, if she didn’t give him a reason, he probably wouldn’t let her go to open the door.

Mabel Quinn had to say, "Uh, no need for improvement, I’m very satisfied, very satisfied!" After speaking, she even took the initiative to tiptoe and planted a kiss on his lips.

This sudden kiss caught him off guard, leaving him momentarily dazed.

Only then was she able to escape his embrace, run over to the door, and open it. As soon as the servant saw Mabel, they said, "The master has asked the young lady and the young master to go to the hall together."

"To the hall?" Mabel was slightly stunned, "Did something happen?" Usually, when her father wanted to discuss something with her, it would be in the study.

"It’s because Second Master and his family have arrived." The servant replied.

"Alright, let’s go then." Kyle Kinston’s voice came from behind. She turned her head and saw him already behind her, his face no longer exhibiting the playful expression from earlier but rather a cold sternness, "Since they’re here, some matters need to be settled."

Mabel asked, "Is father planning to confront them today?"

"Maybe, maybe not. We’ll know once we get there, won’t we?" Kyle said, already taking Mabel’s hand and heading towards the hall.

Upon reaching the hall, Mabel saw her father sitting in the main seat at the front, while her second uncle Christopher Quinn, Camille Grant, and Alessia Quinn were seated on one side.

At this moment, her second uncle was angrily talking about Alessia being rejected from the engagement by the Houghton Family, while Camille Grant was tearfully supporting him, accusing the Houghton Family of being utterly deplorable. Meanwhile, Alessia sat quietly with her head down, giving off an impression of helplessness and pitifulness.

Mabel slightly raised her eyebrow, wondering if Alessia was deliberately acting pitiable.

Seeing Kyle and Mabel enter, Christopher seemed to want to pull the two into the argument, saying, "Mabel, Kyle, you are also relatives to Alessia, aren’t you? Now that Alessia is being maliciously rejected by the Houghton Family, don’t you think if the Quinn Family just swallows this insult, it will only embolden the Houghton Family and make others look down on us?"

Christopher probably didn’t know that his daughter had once set up Mabel, leading to her being taken to the police station. However, Camille was aware of it, and hearing her husband speak like this, she bit her lip slightly, her eyes filled with tears, and said, "Mabel, aunty knows that there are some misunderstandings between you and Alessia, but no matter what private misunderstandings there are, we are still a family, aren’t we? We should stand united against outsiders. Today, the Houghton Family can easily reject Alessia’s engagement, causing Alessia to suffer humiliation and it affects the Quinn Family’s reputation! At the very least, we should let others know that our Quinn Family is not to be trifled with."

"A family?" Mabel spoke up, "Those three words, I really can’t shoulder them. Aunty, do you really think Alessia and I are truly family?"

Camille’s face turned pale, clearly hearing the sarcasm in Mabel’s words. She forced a smile and said, "How are you not family? Your uncle and second uncle are biological brothers, and Alessia is your flesh-and-blood cousin. Even if there are misunderstandings between you, we can still make a big issue small, and small issues disappear. Why don’t I just have Alessia apologize to you right here?"
