Chapter 322: Chapter 263: Apocalypse Descends: Each Shows Their Might
...
The Black Dream Club.
It was a members-only fitness and leisure club that catered to the middle-class residents of the surrounding neighborhoods.
A very bourgeois establishment, it boasted an elegant environment and an upscale atmosphere, creating the illusion of class that the middle-class craved.
Right now, the owner was tied to a sofa.
Before him stood rows of menacing figures wielding an assortment of weapons. There were over a hundred of them, all powerfully built and dressed in training uniforms made of special material, currently wiping down their blades.
The owner: ’I’m screwed!’
’What kind of gang is this?’
These people had been chatting and eating from a fruit platter when, suddenly... many of them lowered their heads, blood trickling from their noses.
SHUK! SHUK!
Wielding dual daggers, Fan Zhenyu stabbed two of his zombified companions to death before they could even lift their heads.
The other survivors also sprang into action, finishing off their former martial brothers and friends. They gave them no time to react, just quick, lethal stabs.
Fan Zhenyu did a quick count and broke into a grin.
"We’re damn lucky. Twenty of us survived... Now we might have a fighting chance."
Fan Zhenhuang said, "I’ve been cooped up for so many days, my hands are itching for a fight. Shall we begin?"
"Let’s go!"
A burly, brown-skinned man, standing two meters tall and covered in powerful muscle, wore a pair of exaggerated, custom-made gauntlets fitted with blades and spikes.
ROAR!!!
A zombified club employee charged at them madly.
CRUNCH!
The brown-skinned man threw a punch that went straight through its head, the spikes on his gauntlet bursting out the back of its skull.
When he pulled his fist back, the zombie’s face was completely flattened...
"Hey, Senior Brother, this guy you brought back from Southeast Asia is really something else."
"He’s a multi-time underground boxing champion. A true master of hard-style kung fu..."
"Badass. Fighting zombies suits us better. Let the college kids and lawyers worry about all that thinking stuff."
The twenty true martial artists walked brazenly out of the club.
The zombies on the street, which had been chasing people and chewing on them, saw the group and immediately swarmed over.
Some of the survivors were overjoyed at the sight.
"Help me!"
Fan Zhenyu crooked a finger. "Everyone get the hell behind me!"
Then, he charged forward, dual daggers in hand.
Behind him, his martial brothers, armed with sabers, spears, staves, and swords, rushed toward the zombies!
It was extreme violence and gore!
Every blow struck flesh!

RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT~
With a final volley of gunfire, the North River District military sub-command fell completely silent.
All the zombies had been cleared out.
Of the more than 9,000 soldiers gathered in the entire North River District, just over 900 survived—a rate that aligned perfectly with the law of large numbers.
Qiao Yunliang looked at the bodies strewn across the ground and wiped the sweat from his brow.
"This is... a terrifying disaster..."
This time, he had gathered soldiers who could truly fight!
Every single one was a veteran with over five years of service. They were highly trained and became elite combatants the moment they picked up a rifle.
Then, his phone rang. It was Deng from the Wilderness Battle Corps.
"Qiao... it really happened... You... How did you know?"
"That’s not important now. Did you save your men?"
"I saved a tenth of them. My men are in full armor; these zombies can’t bite through it."
"Good. Then the mission to save Yanhai City, to save Yan Zhao Province... falls on the two of us. Mobilize the Wilderness Battle Corps immediately and start blasting the zombies in Yanhai City for me!"
He hung up the phone, and a voice called out from behind him, "Qiao!"
Qiao Yunliang turned around. It was Advisor Shao, his chief of staff and the second-in-command of the military district. He had actually survived!
He glanced at his handbook. ’This... this wasn’t written in the handbook.’
A gust of wind blew past, flipping Qiao Yunliang’s [Reincarnator’s Handbook (Part 1)] to the final page.
[Official Announcement, Day 138 of the Apocalypse: According to satellite imagery and data analysis, the S-Virus outbreak instantly infected 90% of the living population. Between 19:00 and 20:00 on that day, 6% of our nation’s remaining 10% of survivors died outright. A week later, that number grew to 8%, leaving only 2% alive. As of today, the first New Year of the apocalypse, the remaining population is less than 1%...]

As the time arrived.
Of the 65,000 veterans and militiamen who had been ordered by the military to quarantine at home and await orders, the 6,000-plus survivors looked out their windows at the world in utter shock!
At 7:01 p.m., they all received a text message on their phones:
[Yanhai City Emergency Combat Command Notice!!!]
In an instant, they rose to their feet!
One by one, lights began to switch on in every corner of Yanhai City.
