Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 3107: Sea Tide

The possessed Soltz flew forward at high speed, with Emery following directly behind as the vanguard.

The infected Wildwrath Tyrant fiercely charged toward him.

Emery twisted his body and let the Elysian Roots absorb as much of the impact as they could while channeling the Dao of Heaven and Earth through the rest of his body. He used the backlash itself to propel himself farther forward, turning the force of the Supreme’s attack into momentum.

He managed to shed roughly half of the impact this way.

The other half still tore through his defenses.

Blood leaked from the corner of Emery’s mouth as his muscles screamed under the strain.

The chase dragged on.

This time the grotesque eye creature had joined the horde.

As if that wasn’t enough, Emery’s senses suddenly caught something else.

The sea creatures that had been gathering beneath the ocean had finally begun moving toward their route. What had once seemed like scattered groups had merged into a massive horde, their numbers rapidly increasing as they surged toward Emery and the fleeing survivors.

Deep within the enormous swarm was a powerful presence.

It was difficult to see clearly through the countless creatures surrounding it, but the sheer weight of its aura was unmistakable.

It was comparable to the infected Supreme pursuing him.

Emery’s expression darkened.

"Don’t tell me... another one."

Before he could brace himself for what was coming, a voice suddenly cut through his mind.

Urgent.

"Keep this body safe."

This was the voice of the female who had possessed Soltz.

Emery’s eyes widened.

"What—what do you mean?"

There was no reply, instead the shadow threads binding the group suddenly snapped apart.

The dark webs dissolved in an instant, releasing the dwarves and High Elves from their control. One after another, their bodies regained their freedom, confusion spreading across their faces.

At the same time, Soltz’s body went limp.

It didn’t take a genius to guess what had happened.

The strange presence that had possessed Soltz disappeared as abruptly as it had arrived.

Emery stared at him in disbelief.

"What the hell...?!"

Emery could hardly believe what had just happened. The possession had been severed at the most crucial moment.

There was no time to think about it, however.

The infected Supreme and dozens of infected Grand Magus were already closing in again.

With no other option, the dwarves swiftly reformed their formation. Each warrior immediately taking their designated position. Bragnir hold the unconscious Soltz securely against his side.

"Get Ready!"

The dwarves tightened their formation, weapons raised as they prepared for another desperate clash.

The first presence came from the ocean.

The ocean surface erupted.

A massive shape broke through the waves—a gigantic shark formed entirely from surging water, its monstrous body constantly shifting as currents flowed through its translucent form. It was a powerfull water elemental summon, shaped into a predator of terrifying size.

Standing atop its back was a man.

His body was tall and imposing, with pale blue, glimmering skin that seemed almost translucent, like a person carved from the pure essence of the sea. Faint currents of water continuously flowed beneath his skin, while droplets of seawater floated around his body without ever touching him. His long hair drifted gently despite the absence of wind, moving as though he were standing beneath the ocean itself.

There was no visible armor or weapon on him. He simply stood there, calm and completely unhurried.

Yet the moment Emery sensed his aura, his expression changed.

The power radiating from that pale-blue body was unmistakable.

Supreme-tier. No question.

The man slowly raised his head and glanced across the battlefield.

His gaze passed over Emery and the fleeing dwarves before finally settling on the infected forces pursuing them.

Then he casually raised both arms.

The sea behind him suddenly erupted.

A colossal wall of water rose from the ocean, growing higher and higher until it towered above the battlefield. It was no ordinary wave. The sheer volume of water was enough to swallow an entire city, and the pressure contained within it made even Emery’s expression change.

He immediately prepared to react.

Then he realized the massive wave was not moving toward Emery or the dwarves.

It was surging directly toward the infected Supreme and the horde behind him.

The ocean began to rumble.

Calm waters transformed into a chaotic battlefield as the enormous wave crashed down upon the pursuing forces. Water exploded across the sea, swallowing infected creatures and sending them tumbling through the raging currents.

The infected Supreme, however, blasted straight through the massive tide.

Its muscular body emerged from the water, its savage aura tearing apart the waves around it as it continued charging forward.

But the man with the glimmering pale blue skin was already waiting.

A brilliant surge of water gathered along his arm, rapidly condensing into a massive trident. The weapon was several meters long, its three-pronged head radiating a terrifying pressure as it took shape.

The man gripped the trident and hurled it.

The weapon tore through the air like a streak of water, shooting straight toward the incoming Supreme.

Savage power erupted from the infected Supreme as it responded with overwhelming force.

The two attacks collided.

BOOOM!

The impact shook the entire sea.

Wild, savage energy clashed against the overwhelming power of the trident, creating a violent explosion that sent towering waves in every direction.

This was a true clash between Supreme-level forces.

What happened next startle Emery and the others.

Hundreds of sea creatures suddenly erupted from the ocean.

Massive serpents, enormous fish, and strange aquatic creatures surged from beneath the waves, their bodies covered in powerful elemental energy. They charged directly toward the infected hordes, attacking from every direction and tearing into the scattered forces that had been pursuing Emery.

The entire battlefield had suddenly transformed.

The sea itself seemed to have risen against the Scourge.

It was only then that Bragnir finally got a clear look at the man standing atop the giant water shark.

His eyes widened.

His voice carried deep reverence as he stared toward the figure.

"It’s Lord Sea Tide... We are saved!!"

Emery has heard the dwarves mention this name before.

The Sea Tide Sovereign was one of the famous guardians of the Southern Isles, a Supreme-level protector whose name was known throughout the Tartarus realm.

His arrival, together with the countless sea creatures that had answered his call, could only mean one thing.

The Southern Isles had not yet fallen.

Emery felt the pressure weighing on his chest begin to ease.

Bragnir immediately raised his weapon and called out to the dwarves.

"Counterattack!"

The dwarves responded without hesitation.

Emery followed them, charging into the battlefield as another massive-scale battle erupted across the sea.

He soon realized that they didn’t actually need to do much. The sea creatures brought by the Supreme were far more powerful than he had initially expected. Dozens of them possessed Godly-tier strength, and each one displayed a powerful innate ability unique to its species. Some unleashed torrents of water, while others summoned lightning, froze the surrounding sea, or attacked with overwhelming physical strength.

Yet the most astonishing among them all was Lord Sea Tide.

The Supreme not only managed to dominate the infected Wildwrath Tyrant in their clash, but also restrained the grotesque eye creature, preventing the abomination from launching another mental assault.

Emery could no longer remain on the sidelines.

With his Excalibur firmly in hand, he launched himself into the Scourge forces, unleashing one aggressive attack after another. The blade tore through infected creatures as he pushed deeper into the chaotic battlefield, taking full advantage of the sudden shift in momentum.

But before the battle could continue for long, something strange happened.

It was as if an absolute order had been issued.

One after another, the infected forces suddenly began retreating, leaving behind a sea littered with corpses and traces of shattered energy.

Emery watched them disappear into the distance, his breathing heavy.

Only then did the exhaustion finally catch up with him.

Around him, the surviving dwarves slowly lowered their weapons.

The tension that had gripped them for so long finally broke.

Relief washed over their faces.

Cheers erupted across the battlefield.

After everything they had endured—the endless pursuit, the countless battles, and the loss of so many of their people—the surviving dwarves finally allowed themselves to celebrate.
