Chapter 360 - 360: Still Not The Boss

Aiden had decided to no longer hold anything back.

One of the reasons was the fact that he could tell these two were considerably stronger than the Ashen warrior he had recently killed.

And there were two of them.

If Aiden used Dark Mane Tyrant Mode, he wasn't fully confident that he would be able to take them both down without suffering a massive blow in return.

But Horned Titan Mode granted him immense physical strength and insane endurance.

With this mode, he was more than certain that he would be able to end this battle sooner rather than later.

And without any massive injuries.

If any at all.

Meanwhile, Elen looked up from where she was hiding.

She was stunned once again when she saw that Aiden had yet again transformed into another type of monstrosity.

And this one...

She was very familiar with.

"Is that a real Minotaur?"

Elen couldn't help but ask in deep wonder and shock at what she was seeing.

Aiden looked down at his bulky hands.

He clenched them.

Then unclenched them.

Again and again.

He could feel the insane burst of strength surging through his body.

Totally worth being ranked fifth among his Beast Transformation list.

Aiden had obtained Horned Titan Mode after a brutal battle with a powerful Red Portal Boss.

It had been an extremely terrifying battle.

One of the few that had actually threatened his life.

If he had been forced to use one of his other powerful modes, he wasn't certain he would have been able to win.

But he had persisted.

And he had won.

And the reward for that brutal battle was this.

Aiden suddenly let out a ground-shaking roar.

"ROOOOOAR!"

The ground trembled.

The air shook.

And fear ran down the spines of everyone present.

The two black-skinned monsters were no exception.

Feeling the aura Aiden was unleashing, the expressions of the two monsters slowly turned serious as they faced each other.

Their gazes told each other everything they needed to know.

This invader's aura was on par with theirs.

Now they understood how Naki had died.

Anyone among the Dark Duo was more than capable of killing the axe-wielding warrior.

And seeing that this invader was on their level, they now understood that Naki must have been killed by him.

Still, the Dark Duo only looked at Aiden with a slight change in their expressions.

They weren't truly afraid of him.

There was only one of him.

And there were two of them.

Besides, neither of them was weak.

With a single nod, the bodies of the Dark Duo suddenly glowed with blinding red light.

At the exact same time...

They moved.

BOOM!

The ground where they had been standing shattered apart.

Their speed was so terrifying that Aiden barely had time to react before two massive forces slammed into his chest simultaneously.

Pain exploded through his nerves.

Aiden was pushed two steps backward.

He hadn't even managed to understand what had happened when he saw a blur of red.

Then...

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

The Dark Duo were so fast and so strong that he couldn't properly track their movements.

A powerful force knocked his head to the side.

Another struck his head back.

Then another.

And another.

The banging sounds echoed endlessly as the two monsters unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks on Aiden, refusing to give him even the slightest opportunity to move.

Aiden couldn't help but smile even as short bursts of pain traveled through his body in rapid succession.

They were trying to take him down before he could make his move.

But they were greatly mistaken if they thought they had trapped him.

Aiden hadn't even begun to show them what this mode could truly do.

He brought his hands together and clasped them.

The moment his palms collided...

BOOM!

A massive tremor of shockwaves erupted from the point of contact.

The shockwave spread outward and struck the Dark Duo as they came in for another attack.

The force shook them off balance for a brief moment.

That was all Aiden needed.

His hands moved.

Fast.

He caught the two punches they were about to throw toward his head simultaneously.

He grabbed their hands.

Then he squeezed.

The monstrous strength within his fingers surged outward.

The two monsters immediately felt intense pain.

Their bones groaned under the pressure, threatening to crack.

But Aiden wasn't done.

With his monstrous, titanic strength, he slammed the two creatures against each other.

CRACK!

The sound of breaking bones echoed.

But that wasn't all.

Aiden slammed them into the Ashen ground.

Then he grabbed them and smashed them against each other again.

And again.

And again.

With Aiden's current monstrous strength, it was a miracle the creatures were still breathing after five consecutive sessions of brutal smashing and bone-crushing.

Soon, the two beasts lay on the ground.

Their bones were crushed.

Their bodies barely moved.

Their lives were already fading.

But even then, Aiden wasn't going to let them go easily.

He grabbed their heads.

Then slammed them into the ground.

Again.

And again.

And again.

A large crater formed beneath them.

Blood spilled from their skulls.

Then...

CRACK!

Their skulls finally broke apart.

The bodies of the two monsters went limp.

They were dead.

Elen watched from where she was hiding.

Her expression was impossible to read.

She had felt the aura of those two monsters.

She knew for certain that they possessed insane amounts of power and energy.

If her mind wasn't playing tricks on her...

Then both of them should have been S-Rank threats.

Two S-Rank monsters.

Killed in such a brutal manner by Aiden in what seemed like only a few minutes.

It was mind-breaking, to say the least.

Mind-numbing.

No matter how numb Elen's mind had become to the impossible things she had witnessed today, she couldn't stop herself from becoming even more numb at the scene playing out before her.

This shouldn't have been possible.

Yet it was happening right in front of her.

Aiden stood on his feet.

His enormous body towered over the battlefield like a living wall of muscle.

Compared to the Horned Titan, which was at least at the peak of High S-Rank in terms of ability, the two members of the Dark Duo were weak in comparison.

So, yeah.

Aiden wasn't surprised that they had died under that much beating.

If anything, even their bodies weren't as sturdy as the Ashen warrior he had killed before.

It seemed their speed was their strongest suit.

And once that advantage had been countered, they were nothing more than lambs awaiting their deaths.

Still, Aiden had another thought.

"It isn't them either."

He looked at the headless corpses of the duo.

They weren't the boss of this Red Portal.

Meaning they had been sent here just like the previous Ashen warrior.

They were merely subordinates of the true boss.

But that made Aiden wonder.

If the minions were scaling like this...

Then whoever the portal boss was...

It had to be one hell of a powerful monster.

Funnily enough, that thought only made Aiden itch to fight the true portal boss.

To grow stronger.

Meanwhile, back at the Ashen Palace...

A large, suffocating aura filled the palace.

The Ashen King clenched his fist in anger.

The two warriors he had sent out had been killed in less than a few minutes as well.

It was annoying.

Irritating.

Whoever this troublesome pest was, they needed to be dealt with.

And this time, the Ashen King wasn't going to hold his warriors back.

Five names left his mouth.

In response, five warriors, each radiating an energy aura similar to that of the Dark Duo, stepped forward.

Their heads were bowed.

"Go."

The Ashen King's voice was cold.

"Wipe the intruders out."

"And do it as fast as possible."

This should be enough.

The Ashen King thought as his expression relaxed somewhat.

He was surprised that the human pests had managed to kill several awakened monsters.

But five Mid-S-Rank warriors should be more than enough to end them.

The Ashen King's mood had already been ruined by the Ice Elf, who continued to look at him with visible disdain.

The longer this continued, the more this damn envoy of a Transcendent would look down on him.

He needed to make sure that didn't happen.

So he waited for the good news from the warriors he had sent.

Twenty minutes later...

The Ashen King's expression changed.

Pure fury filled his eyes.

A dark, suffocating aura erupted throughout the palace.

Every Ashen being inside immediately dropped to their knees.

Their king was angry.

And that was not a good thing.

Not good at all.

"They were all killed."

The Ashen King spoke slowly.

The words tasted like sour wine on his tongue.

Six powerful awakened monsters had been killed.

And it hadn't even been thirty minutes.

Just who was this human pest daring to do this?

His pride was being trampled.

And now he needed to make sure that the human behind all of this paid for it with their life.

The Ashen King issued his order.

"Find the invader."

"Kill them."

"Bring all of their heads to me."

"I don't care what method you adopt. What I want is their heads here before the next hour."

His tone was sharp and brisk.

The warriors and chiefs alike nodded their heads before rushing away.

They were ready to mobilize their warriors.

They were going to make sure they killed this human pest who had caused their lord to become so furious.

Warriors began lining up.

And it was becoming clear that the entire Ashen Race was preparing for war.

And the enemy they were going to war against...

Aiden looked at the corpse of the last of the six Ashen warriors that had arrived after the Dark Duo.

A strange expression appeared on his face.

These monsters were all strong.

Extremely strong.

Strong enough to cause him a considerable level of harm.

But even then...

Aiden was certain of one thing.

"This still isn't the portal boss."
