Shizuku Kurogane was a girl of action.

Once she made up her mind, she executed her plans with terrifying speed.

Knowing that Alice was staying by Ikki’s side, Shizuku was deeply worried.

It wasn’t an exaggeration to say she couldn’t rest easy for a single moment.

After the group of five left the administration building, they gave Shizuku a brief tour of the campus.

They headed to the cafeteria to finish lunch together before separating to attend their formal afternoon classes.

Once everyone went their separate ways, Shizuku didn’t go straight to class.

Instead, she marched right back to the Chairwoman’s office.

True to her word, she intended to demand a readjustment of the dormitory assignments to transfer Alice out of Ikki’s room.

She refused to let her Onii-sama be preyed upon by a boy harboring such impure thoughts.

The result was predictable.

Kurono despised outside interference in her campus reforms.

Before the term started, Shizuku had bypassed the Chairwoman, using the Kurogane family’s influence on the board of directors to force a room change.

Now that school had officially begun and the student rosters were locked in, there was zero chance Kurono would agree to Shizuku’s selfish demands.

There was a high probability that Shizuku was thoroughly scolded by the Chairwoman and sent packing in despair.

After all, the rank based dormitory allocation policy was a cornerstone of Kurono’s reforms.

If she altered it on a whim just because the Kurogane heiress threw a tantrum, how would she be any different from the previous corrupt Chairman?

The curriculum at Hagun Academy was mainly divided into academic courses and practical combat courses.

The academic courses, alongside standard high school subjects, included Blazer specific topics such as the history of Mage Knights and the theoretical study of various Noble Arts.

The practical courses focused on physical conditioning and live combat exercises.

In addition to these main subjects, there were elective courses available for students who needed to supplement their credits.

Roy found some of the academic classes mildly interesting.

The detailed history and mechanics of this world’s magic systems provided information that couldn’t easily be found on the internet.

The core classes dedicated to instructing professional Mage Knights offered virtually no value to him.

A major focus of the academy’s curriculum was teaching students how to efficiently and subtly control their internal mana.

Mana Control was one of the six core parameters used to evaluate a Mage Knight, and one of the few that could actually be improved through rigorous training.

Yet, among the first year students, there were two who couldn’t care less about these lessons: Roy and Ikki Kurogane.

For Roy, it was because the mana control taught at the academy were primitive compared to his own.

Back in DxD world, he had spent a considerable amount of time researching complex magic systems.

His mana control was already world-class

So the teachers here had nothing left to teach him.

As for Ikki... he couldn’t practice mana control simply because his mana was abysmally small.

If he had even a fraction more mana, Ikki would have been more dedicated to training his control than anyone else.

Sadly without activating Ittou Shura, the mana in Ikki’s body was like a single matchstick.

Once ignited, it burned out in seconds.

Since a Blazer’s mana capacity was fixed at birth and couldn’t be increased through exercise there was no solution for this.

Ikki was passionate about the practical combat drills.

Over the past year, he had been systematically suppressed and barred from attending these exact classes.

Now, thanks to Kurono’s new policies, he was finally allowed to participate and cross swords with his peers.

During a practical combat class while Roy was standing off to the side, lacking the interest to spar with average student.

A cheerful voice suddenly called out to him.

"Roy-kun!"

The owner of the voice tapped him lightly on the shoulder.

Roy turned around and was greeted by a rather cute girl.

She had short blonde hair, wore large glasses and had a petite face that evoked a protective instinct.

Contrasting her frame, her figure was exceptionally well developed, perhaps second only to Stella’s.

Her gaze shining with excitement and blatant admiration.

Roy recognized her as a classmate though he hadn’t caught her name yet.

"Sorry, Roy-kun! I finally got the chance to catch you alone, and I got a little overly excited," the girl stuck her tongue out playfully.

Roy shook his head.

"What’s up?" he asked with an easy smile.

"My name is Kagami Kusakabe, and I’m a reporter!"

"A reporter?" Roy raised an eyebrow, his gaze dropping to the professional looking camera hanging around Kagami’s neck.

"To be precise, a future reporter," Kagami smiled brightly.

"I’m determined to become a top national TV reporter! Right now, I’m just doing my internship by covering school news."

"So, are you here to interview me?" Roy asked.
