DxD: I Sealed Sukuna’s Finger, Now They Want My Number

Chapter 669 - 669: [669] : Making Full Use of Her

  • Next Chapter

The night's festivities carried on until the usual midnight cutoff before finally winding down. One by one, Bokue carried the spent girls back to their rooms.

Same as last night, Venelana was the last to be returned.

When Bokue carried "Venelana" from the old schoolhouse bedroom into the second-floor suite of the beach villa, the room was pitch-dark. Only a thin veil of moonlight and a handful of stars filtered through the window, laying a delicate frost of silver across the floor near the glass.

He brought her to the bed.

As he moved to set her down gently, a pair of slender arms wound through the darkness and laced around his neck. Then — her voice. Low, husky, a little raw from the evening's exertions.

"Leaving already?"

"Mm..."

Bokue assumed this was the same thing as last night — Venelana being clingy, wanting one last goodnight kiss.

He started to lean in — then stopped.

Something nagged at the back of his mind.

"Oh — Auntie, shouldn't I bring you back to the castle in the Underworld?"

It hit him belatedly. Tonight's performance had been so intense, so consuming, that he'd nearly forgotten the logistics. Venelana had snuck back from the Underworld for this. Which meant she needed to return before morning — otherwise, Chysis and Runeas might notice her absence.

Granted, neither of them would likely barge into an unoccupied bedroom just to check. But better safe than sorry.

And it wasn't exactly a hassle, either. Venelana's room had a magic mirror that bridged both worlds. All he had to do was carry her through it and she'd land directly in her bedroom at Gremory Castle.

With that thought, Bokue tightened his grip to lift the woman back up from the bed.

But she stopped him.

"That won't be necessary~"

The arms around his neck cinched tighter, pulling him down until his chest pressed against hers. Warm breath ghosted over his ear in the darkness.

"I'm staying here tonight. As for you, Bokue... are you really not going to stay?"

Stay? Now that was tempting.

He didn't know if it was the thrill of sneaking around, the forbidden edge of doing this behind the mother-in-law's and the ancestor's backs, but tonight's Venelana had been markedly different from every time before.

If he had to sum it up in a word: insatiable.

On a normal night, Venelana still carried herself with a mother's quiet dignity — even during the pool party, even surrounded by younger women, she kept a certain composure.

Tonight? It was like someone had flipped a switch. No matter how much she was given, she wanted more. A child throwing a tantrum at a dessert buffet, refusing to leave the table.

The intensity of it had left even Bokue half-tempted to pin her down and go until sunrise.

"...But aren't you worried about Chysis-senpai and Runeas-senpai catching on?"

He still hesitated.

"Mmn... why are you still calling her senpai..."

The woman clinging to him muttered something under her breath, indistinct, half-swallowed.

And because Bokue was still weighing his options, he didn't quite catch it.

"Hm? Did you say something, Auntie?"

"Mm~ nope, nothing~"

Chysis snapped back into character without missing a beat — pursing her lips in a perfect imitation of Venelana's pout.

She turned her cheek against his in the darkness, and her lips — impossibly soft — grazed the shell of his ear. Her voice dropped to the kind of whisper that existed only in the space between two people.

"What I said was — you don't have to worry about any of that."

"??"

"Stay. Even if we get caught — so be it. If it happens, it happens."

She kept murmuring in Venelana's cadence — tender, coaxing, every word dripping with affection. And the softer her voice became, the more it felt like a silk brush tracing across still water, leaving ripple after ripple in its wake.

"At least tonight... I want you here beside me."

"..."

When a woman has laid herself that bare — when she's stripped away every last pretense and asked you, point-blank, to stay.

What's a man supposed to say?

Bokue stopped deliberating. He rolled onto the bed, pulled back the covers, and drew them both underneath.

Moments later, the sounds of renewed passion filled the darkened room.

❁❁❁❁

At last, the night passed.

Morning.

"Mmn..."

A faint murmur broke the bedroom's stillness. Bokue opened his eyes to a room flooded with daylight, the sky beyond the window already bright and clear.

The air still held a trace of last night's aftermath, faint, unmistakable. In his arms, the warm, pliant softness of a woman's body.

Right... I slept here last night.

His freshly-rebooted brain was just starting to piece things together when he glanced down, intending to press a good-morning kiss to Venelana's forehead.

And froze.

"Wh—?!"

Crimson hair.

Not ash-blonde. Crimson.

Wait... that color is—

His thoughts scrambled. He'd gone to sleep holding Venelana. Had Rias come by in the middle of the night? Had they somehow switched places?

Then where was Venelana—

Bokue's head snapped toward the other side of the bed.

Empty. No one.

...Huh???

And right at that moment — as if stirred by his startled movement — the crimson-haired woman in his arms sighed softly, stretched like a cat emerging from a nap, and opened her eyes.

Not Rias's eyes.

These were softer. Gentler. The kind of warmth that came from decades — centuries — of watching the world with quiet patience.

The beautiful woman turned her head. Met his gaze. And smiled — unhurried, luminous, completely at ease.

"Good morning, Bokue~"

"..."

Bokue's brain locked up.

It wasn't often that his processing speed dropped to zero. But right now — in this exact moment — every cognitive thread had hard-crashed.

That unmistakable crimson hair. Those gentle, softly-curved features — nothing like Rias's sharper, more regal lines.

His voice came out cracked.

"Chysis... sen—"

"Mm-mm~ that's not right. What did I tell you to call me?"

Before he could finish the word, a slender finger rose and pressed against his lips, silencing him. Chysis smiled — the same patient, knowing smile — and shook her head.

"It's onee-san. Remember?"

She let her finger linger for a beat before withdrawing it.

"Oh — and just so you know: the one in the bath last night? That was me too. Venelana-chan never came back yesterday~"

With that, Chysis tilted her face upward and kissed him — light, brief, lips barely brushing his before pulling away. The kind of kiss that was gentle enough to feel like a whisper and sweet enough to leave a mark.

"I have to say... our Bokue really is something else. No wonder Rias-chan and Venelana-chan are so captivated by you... to the point where they'd go to those lengths. Fufu~ Even onee-san here couldn't resist in the end."

Her eyes sparkled with playful heat as she traced a fingertip down from his lips to the line of his jaw — and hooked it upward, tilting his chin like a queen appraising her newest conquest.

"And I'll be honest, I want more."

"So what will it be, Bokue? Will you take responsibility and claim onee-san too? Or—"

"What do you think, Chysis-nee?"

Bokue cut her off.

His hands found her waist.

And without an ounce of hesitation, he showed her exactly what he thought.
