Chapter 1015: Chapter 1015: Icethorne under siege (4)
"Retreat hahahaha there is no retreat here my friend, if we leave carnage will follow in our wake and Northrend will face it in our stead."
Icethorne and the War Ursa Battalion had but one option, to fight tooth and nail, forestalling the advance of the Glacial mountains’ liberation alliance and hopefully carving out a piece of flesh large enough to make them regret ever choosing to advance south.
"We and now you since you’re under my roof will fight against them until not a single one of us remains standing. They may be victorious in the end but by God I will ensure it’s nothing, but a pyrrhic victory or my name isn’t OSCAR FUCKING RUNAK!!!!"
"DEATH!!!!"
"DEATH!!!!"
As if rehearsed every member of the War Ursa Battalion in the war room roared ’death’ with such conviction and strength that the entire room shook.
Cavalish and his coloured cohorts as well as Anya, Ovaria and their team all trembled in response, their hearts tightened and their lower limbs turned numb as intense fear as well as a strange fire welled within them.
"DEATH HAHAHAHAHA it’s been too long since I last heard the chanting of men and women bravely greeting the reaper with laughter." Baron Glorfile who still felt rust upon his body found himself growing limber by the second. His heart that had been crushed by despair revived and thumped away with a passion. He was home and back where he belonged.
"I’m glad they at least sent someone useful, the Purple Fist ...it’ll be an honour to fight by your side." Duke Runak rose from his chair, his presence monolithic and heavy. He walked in front of Baron Glorfile, placed his hands firmly on his shoulders and greeted him like a brother.
"The honour is mine War Marshall." The Baron was gone and in his place was General Glorfile.
"Come if you are to join us in this hellscape I might as well give you the tour and inspect our new arrivals....Little sister feel free to reunite with the Princess, I’ll visit you later for a more informal catch up" With his arm wrapped around General Glorfile Duke Runak ordered the plethora of men and women to join him on his rounds.
Normally such a job would be relegated to someone like Jared, a General low on the totem pole but he held great respect for Glorfile and just so happened to be free right now.
"Understood brother just don’t expect too much." Anya shook her head, a redness surrounding her eyes, her invincible brother had not lost his fire, he was still blazing as bright as ever only his circumstances had trapped him in place with limited oxygen.
"Jessica make sure Kat doesn’t try to rush Broga’s healing, a devil’s corruption needs to be fully purified lest she wants to remain permanently maimed."
"I will War Marshall don’t worry."
"I’m right here." General Katrina grumbled, annoyed at being treated like a child.
"We know~" General Jessica charmingly giggled, her hand resting on Katrina’s shoulder in support as she tried to keep a brave face.
This was the first time since the siege began that a General of Katrina’s standing had been injured. A ’friendly’ greeting from the enemy, announcing their arrival and willingness to engage with them on the battlefield.
The devils from the Demonic Empire had come and unlike the Generals sent with the Vanguard force they were incredibly strong, strong enough to put even Katrina on the back foot.
About a minute after Duke Runak left Princess Avira walked in with an old hunchbacked man, with goat horns attached to the top of his head.
"I’ve brought General Broga."
"Pshua for the last time girl don’t refer to me as General, simply old man Broga or Doctor will do." With a cane in his shaky hands Broga barked, he hated the title of General seeing it as an insult to his profession but that was his rank, nonetheless.
"So who’s the injured brat that needed me to waddle on over in such a rush at my age?" Though he spoke of difficulty the man’s steps were quite solid, the cane being completely unnecessary.
"It’s me you old goat."
"Oh little K I haven’t had to treat you personally since that time you...."
"Don’t bring that up please, just patch me up so I can get back on the field." The bold and powerful General who feared no one not even the mighty Oscar Runak was suddenly blushing from embarrassment and waving her arms desperately in an attempt stop Broga from running his mouth. That injury he treated wasn’t exactly one she was proud of, in fact the mere memory of the events surrounding it was one of her greatest regrets.
"Hehehe as feisty as ever lass, let’s take a look at you then....Devil’s corruption, bad too. Why’d you let yourself get hit by something like this, foolish girl."
"I didn’t exactly stand there and take it willingly." She huffed; her opponent was strong even stronger than her but what’s worse was that his attacks came with a nasty corrosive quality that stopped her natural healing and even infected her body through her wounds. If left alone her body would grow weaker and weaker before ultimately collapsing.
"Don’t worry little K old Broga here can fix you right up but purifying a wound like this won’t be painless....Jessie do us a favour and pin her down for me, I know you’ve got the skills for it hehehe." The old goat teased.
"With pleasure Doctor B~" Jessica without any hesitation slithered around Katrina large muscular body, using her limber frame and practiced talents to ’pin’ her in place.
"Oiii I don’t think he meant shoving your ass in my face." Katrina half struggled as Jessica, her limbs like snakes lowered her massive ass onto her face. Her casual lovers may go for this sort of thing but not her.
"Of course he did, we need something to muffle the moans~" Jessica’s voice was full of allure and despite her friend’s ardent protests she plopped her ass against Katrina’s face, pushing her mouth and nose tightly into the valley between her cheeks.
"What mo ahhhhhhhh!!!" Katrina tried to argue but she was suddenly struck with intense pain and thus screamed into the ass acting as a muffler.
During their tussle Doctor Broga already readied a few things for the treatment, a gold and blue liquid, several silver leaves as well as a high level healing spell known as purification.
"There we go just let it all out, we’ll be finished soon." It was like he was coaxing a crying child at the dentist.
Avira who brought the old goat felt the skin on the back of her neck stand on end when she heard the muffled screams coming from General Katrina’s throat. That woman could walk through fire and never let out a single whimper yet here she was screaming her head off. She couldn’t even begin to imagine the depths of pain she felt.
"You’ve become even more radiant since the last time I saw you Princess." A familiar voice pulled her from her staring.
"A...Anya is that you?" Avira blinked her eyes several times, struggling to come to terms with what her eyes were showing her.
"Hehehe what have you forgotten me after being apart for so lon..." before she could even finish her teasing Avira ran head first into her chest, wrapping her up in a tight hug.
"I missed you so much. Uncle Oscar and the others have been great but the situation here is unbearable." Tears streamed down her cheeks like rivers. "There’s so much death and no one’s willing to help us. They say they can’t possibly win but each and every day the soldiers draw their weapons and fight against the enemy, giving them no quarter. I want to cry all the time, my heart bleeds for them but if I show the slightest sign of weakness I’ll only burden them." Anya was her confidant and an outsider to Icethorne, so she didn’t need to keep up her brave face.
"Haaaa and here I thought the little girl I knew had grown up into a cold, unflinching woman....thank goodness." Her Princess shouldn’t have to be brave and stalwart, she didn’t need to be strong and callous like she was, she was perfect as she was.
"....I did grow a bit." Avira soon found herself bemoaning Anya’s treatment. She may not be as brave as the soldiers, but she still wasn’t the same weakling Princess she was when she fled Arkheart.
"Yes, yes you certainly did." Anya patted her head gently with a broad smile on her lips, she felt her cuteness levels recharging.
The head pat was a bit too much, Avira firmly pushed her away, tided up her clothes and wiped the tear stains from her cheeks.
"I’m not the same girl I was; I’m becoming a woman just like mother, graceful, elegant and fierce.....just how he likes them." The last part was muttered under her breath and followed by a brief blush, but it was loud enough for Anya to notice.
"How who likes what?" She felt a sense of danger stab her heart and the image of a certain Dungeon core flashed in her mind for an unknown reason.
"Nothing." Avira quickly denied with a wave of her hands and changed the topic. "Let’s leave Broga to his healing, I want to hear about the situation back in Northrend."
Avira thus led Anya back to her personal chambers so she could learn about the going ons back in the Empire. She’d been in Icethorne for a few weeks now and hardly any information had been relayed back.
