DMS Chapter 262

Flinx became excited by what he had learned from Abericht about the class scrolls. He left the old wizard to his own devices, and Abericht simply returned to the buffet table to eat more of the unusual food that Flinx’s friends had purchased from their system shopping site.

Flinx planned to look for Paul or Mark and tell them about the class scrolls. While he was walking around, he saw Semanor surrounded by the delver groups, probably answering questions about his experiences with dungeon delving.

The problem was that Semanor was busy enjoying the food from Earth, and the music was too loud for anyone to converse properly.

If anyone tried to lower the volume, a series of complaints would immediately follow, so there was no choice but to simply enjoy the food, music, and drinks.

Flinx was amused when he saw both Semanor and Abericht discover the different types of alcohol that his friends had purchased. One of the delvers was working as a bartender, and Oscar had even prepared a large board listing the different types of drinks he could make.

The best part was that the names of the drinks were written in both English and the Common Language.

Flinx joined Semanor and Abericht in ordering drinks from Oscar, and soon they were tasting everything his friend could prepare.

Based on the glint in Oscar’s eyes and the reactions of the two Diamond-rank adventurers to the drinks he had prepared, Flinx knew that the business he started would probably be related to drinks or bars.

After a couple of drinks, Flinx stopped. He didn’t want to get drunk because he still wanted to talk to Paul or Mark about the class scrolls.

When he was about to leave, Semanor stopped him and urged him to continue drinking with them.

Since Flinx thought there was no real hurry to share the information about the class scrolls, he stayed and joined Semanor, Abericht, and the people gathered around the bar in their binge drinking.

Flinx laughed out loud when he saw several teenagers hovering just outside the bar’s vicinity.

He learned that they had tried to get a taste of some of the alcoholic drinks. They thought that since they weren’t on Earth anymore, they could start drinking alcohol even though they were still teenagers.

When they were told that they couldn’t drink alcohol if they were younger than twenty-one, all of them became surly.

The teachers of Flinx’s charges were also in the bar and had joined Abericht and Semanor in tasting the different alcoholic beverages Oscar was preparing.

After a while, David, Arcios, Keero, and Violet approached Flinx to complain about the fact that he hadn’t given them a wind elemental while they were staying in the compound.

They resented the fact that the other children were flying around with the help of a wind elemental.

“Do you want me to summon a wind elemental for you to take back to the guild?” Flinx asked.

The four children nodded enthusiastically, but they were greatly disappointed when their teachers, who were there with Flinx, told them that there was no way they would be allowed to keep a powerful elemental as a playmate.

Their teachers told them that they needed to concentrate on their studies if they wanted to become as powerful as Flinx, and playing with an elemental would not help them achieve that ambition.

About an hour after midnight, the party was still going strong, but the mages from the Mage Guild needed to return home to rest since they had work to do the next day.

That meant it was time for Flinx’s charges to leave.

Flinx offered to bring the children and their teachers back to the room he used as a teleportation point inside the Mage Guild.

They told Flinx that he might be unsuccessful in teleporting there because, after their last test, they had tried their best to strengthen the Mage Guild’s defenses.

Flinx shrugged and told the children’s teachers that they could try. If he wasn’t successful, they could simply travel to the Mage Guild by car.

When the children’s teachers agreed, Flinx teleported everyone to the room in the Mage Guild that he had previously used as a teleportation point.

Unfortunately for the mages, Flinx was successful in breaching the guild’s defenses and managed to return the children and their teachers to the guild.

The chagrined expressions on the children’s teachers’ faces were a sight for sore eyes.

After a somewhat lengthy goodbye, Flinx immediately teleported back to the compound.

He returned to partying with everyone. They were having such a good time that they had even allowed the children to remain awake that night.

Everyone thought it would be a long time before any of them reached the Platinum rank, so this might be the only celebration they would have for someone ranking up to the Platinum rank.

The party lasted until the sun came up.

Because of that, the only delver group that went delving consisted of George, Keith, and Peter, together with Rocky and Windy.

They were the three who didn’t have families. They had returned to Earth to look for them, but unfortunately, during their time as dungeon-miner slaves, their remaining family members had died.

Because of their situation, their desire for revenge against the Torbal Slavers was even greater than Flinx’s.

They were in a hurry to level up as quickly as possible, and everyone simply let them.

Basically, the delver groups already had a routine. They spent around six to eight hours a day delving. After that, they still had time to spend with their families.

George, Keith, and Peter, however, spent around fifteen to sixteen hours in the dungeon.

At first, everyone was concerned about the three men’s obsession. They only stopped worrying when Flinx told them that he had done the same thing for several months when he was trying to level up as quickly as possible to save them from the clutches of the Torbal Slavers.

They all knew that if Flinx had delayed, there was a very good chance that none of them would have remained alive by the time he reached the level at which he could teleport into the world of the Torbal Slavers.

At the very least, the three delving-focused men promised that they would get proper rest if they felt they had reached their limit.

That was what Flinx had done before.

After the day of celebration, everyone except the children was tormented by a hangover.

Flinx didn’t want to suffer, so he cast a healing spell on himself, curing the effects of too much alcohol.

He would have offered his friends the same cure, but amusingly, he held himself back. He thought that a few hours of suffering would do them some good.

At the very least, he hadn’t shown himself using the spell to anyone, so they wouldn’t realize that Flinx could easily cure their hangovers.

By noon, many of his friends had recovered enough that some of them had gathered together again.

Flinx looked for Mark and Paul. He found them in their towers and invited them to talk with him.

When they reached the building they were using as the compound’s meeting hall, he told them what Abericht had said about the class scrolls.

They were bitter about the fact that the scrolls could only drop from monsters in Platinum-rank dungeons.

Flinx shared his plan to delve into one of the three Platinum-rank dungeons in Ilioven to look for class scrolls.

At first, the two were worried about Flinx’s safety, but then he told them that Abericht had said the tenth floor of the three Platinum-rank dungeons in Ilioven had the same difficulty as the last floor of the Dungeon of Mara.

That meant reaching the tenth floor and remaining safe should be possible for Flinx.
