Chapter 523: Invitation Parchment

Lin Feng could already feel that walking on this path would be very long and arduous. There was one specific advantage he had, though.

Lin Feng sighed before coming out of his residence. Just as he was about to take a round towards the spirit field to see the spirit herbs he had planted, he saw a sealed parchment lying in front of his entrance.

He went ahead and picked it up calmly.

A sweet fragrance wafted from the parchment, soothing his mind and inducing slight arousal. He became a little amused and opened the parchment.

’This is an invitation for you, Junior Brother Lin, please come to Seduction Pavilion, we will be waiting for you..’

Lin Feng looked at the parchment before putting it in his spirit ring and going towards his spirit field.

He hadn’t heard much about Seduction Pavilion, so he would rather have some knowledge about them before accepting this invitation.

As he was walking towards the spirit field, he felt a subtle gaze on him.

He wasn’t much surprised, though, there were many mountain peaks nearby which were totally unprotected, so it was very easy for a spy to sneak in.

The gaze wasn’t hostile, it felt more like just observation. Even so, since this person had come here unannounced, that meant he had ulterior motives.

Lin Feng ignored it and went towards the spirit field. After reaching there, he planted a few spirit herbs while tending to the previous ones with spirit water.

He spent almost an hour doing this, but the gaze never left him.

Finally, he decided to take a stroll downhill among the dense forest, where he had never visited before.

The route was very narrow and silent, a perfect place for an ambush if the spy wanted to engage him, but even after walking for a few minutes, it didn’t seem that the person was interested in attacking him.

In the end, Lin Feng decided to just return.

The next few days passed in a similar routine, he would tend to the spirit field, cultivate, and stroll in the forest, and all this time, someone would observe him without ever showing interest in attacking him.

Today, when he came out of the residence in the morning, he saw Sun Xiurong sitting on a big rock beside the cliff near her residence. It was expected given the fact today is the day of the competition.

She turned to look at him before smiling very slightly.

"How have you been, Junior Brother?"

Lin Feng smiled back, "Not being able to see you all this time was a little torturous, Senior Sister.."

He came near her and sat down on the same rock, maintaining proper distance.

"Really? Somehow, I feel that it wasn’t the case.." Sun Xiurong raised her eyebrows slightly, "Given the fact that you have already participated in the Alchemy Battle, you might be quite famous in the sect, with lots of female admirers, don’t you?"

Lin Feng got a little surprised, did she by any chance see the invitation parchment before he picked it up? "I don’t know about admirers, but I am certain about the fact that I have lots of enemies who want to kill me because of you, Senior Sister.."

"Me? Or is it because of your unruly tongue, Junior Brother?"

"Hm.. what unruly tongue, I was just trying to protect you from that wretched swine, who was lusting for you.."

Sun Xiurong became quiet hearing that, as it was true in a sense..

"Anyway, was that invitation from Seduction Pavilion?"

Lin Feng smiled at her changing the topic of conversation, "Yes... it seems you are right, I do get some female admirers, I wonder who these beautiful ladies are.."

Sun Xiurong’s expressionless face got a little visible frown, "Be careful, Junior Brother, Zhe Peng was initially from the Seduction Pavilion, so his roots there are far deeper than you can think of.."

Lin Feng raised his eyebrows slightly, that was interesting information, this changed his view slightly regarding the invitation he got. Well, he wasn’t going to accept it blindly anyway.

"What else should I know about Seduction Pavilion, Senior Sister?"

Sun Xiurong’s frown deepened slightly more, "Why do you want to know about them, Junior Brother?"

Lin Feng shook his head while smiling, "Just for information, Senior Sister, who knows when I would be crossing paths with them?"

Sun Xiurong sighed before nodding, she didn’t know why she even felt such a conflicted feeling about him being interested in Seduction Pavilion.

"The main thing you have to understand is that they are absolutely shameless.."

Lin Feng got a little surprised at her flat tone, she didn’t seem to like them, and it definitely wasn’t because of Zhe Peng.

"Most of the disciples, be it male or female, who are prominent in seduction pavilion, don’t care about their image, and if they want someone, they would state it with the same invitation parchment you got, Junior Brother.

Lin Feng nodded in understanding. No wonder there were lots of disciples who were trying to get information about him. Zhe Peng really had quite a good grip on the sect in this manner.
