Dual Cultivation: Infinite Comprehension with Dual Cultivation Manual
Chapter 30: Ch 30 Third of Three.
After he had killed the creature, Wan Ling returned to the village, carrying with him the frozen corpse of the flaming lion.
Upon his descent, he looked around.
The streets were still empty and he couldn’t just leave the carcass, hence he walked a few minutes until he arrived at the largest house within the village.
Assuming it belonged to the chef he dropped the corpse and knocked on the door.
"..."
There was no response so he ended up sighing.
"It’s the Daoist. I’m done with the hunt!" He exclaimed loudly.
Finally he heard fidgeting within the house before the door finally opened.
A bearded middle aged man peaked out at first.
He seemed nervous but after seeing Wan Ling he sighed only for his eyes to widen in disbelief when he looked past Wan Ling and saw the enormous carcass now laid on his compound.
"Demonic Qi might leak out. It can be purified using lamp flowers or any herb that can absorb Qi. Once it has been purified, it is edible." He explained to which the village chief stepped out and bowed respectfully.
"Thank you young Daoist."
After saying that he retrieved Wan Ling’s payment which he gladly received.
"Also if you can, hire an array master to crave demonic repellant patterns around the village."
"I will!" He said.
"You better because I will be back to check for it in a few months." Wan Ling warned.
The village chief shivered in fright but Wan Ling didn’t say anything more and turned to leave.
---------
" Phoenix ember flower!" Wan Ling muttered as he stared at the final thing he had to do.
That being finding this Phoenix ember flower.
Originally he was planning on asking around the nearby villages for it but he brushed aside that thought when he remembered he had a convenient tool that contained almost anything.
The system store.
He was certain it had a menu for this kind of type so he quickly summoned it.
[System store]
"Phoenix ember flower!" He muttered and it shifted into another menu.
1. Phoenix ember flower.
Cost: 50 Comprehension points.
[Details: A Qi born flower. Can be cultivated during a large concentration of fire qi. Highly effective for concocting high grade pill]
"Nice!" Wan Ling smirked and quickly bought it twice given that was how much was listed.
Instantly the space about his palms glitched and two flowers fell into his palms.
The flower was red with two petals shaped like winds.
It was feathery with a golden tip.
More importantly than that, it felt rather warm to touch and using the Qi sense, Wan Ling could observe an abundance of qi gathering around it.
The Qi was red...fire Qi.
More importantly than that, holding it resulted in a clash between his ice qi which fought greatly as it was put out by the fire.
He wasn’t surprised given their conflicting temperatures.
More importantly than that, he didn’t stop with just that purchase as he browsed the system some more until he found something just as amazing.
[Master level Alchemy Talent]
[Cost: 400 Comprehend points]
[Details: This level of talent provides expert knowledge for the fundamentals of alchemy.]
[Will you like to purchase]
[Y/N]
Alchemy wasn’t something he was particularly interested in but if he wanted to kill his uncle who had the entire backing of the Wan family, he would need lots of cash.
The kind even Li Wei and his band of bullies would shiver from.
Now alchemy provided such an opportunity.
Alchemists weren’t fighters well, not of all them at least.
It was essentially a profession that focused on using specific ingredients to great products that aided Cultivation alongside other health benefits.
Most notable among their creations were Qi refining pills, breakthrough pills, healing pills and many more.
Most cultivators highly depended on them because of how smooth they made the journey even so they didn’t come cheap.
Alchemy took time, focus and expert knowledge hence they were few.
In the entire moon country alone, there existed less than 10,000 of them.
Even the golden Myriad sect had almost 30,000 cultivators and even that was considered rare.
Essentially because of these numbers they were very expensive to hire.
If Wan Ling were to tap into this business and with the aid of the system he could make quick cash so without hesitation he bought the talent.
Suddenly a spark was felt within his brain as numerous amounts of information flooded his mind.
The basis of alchemy.
How to condense pills, identify herbs, refining said ingredients and prepping the furnace for all of these.
The information was abundant as each step was carved in not just his mind but his muscles and his soul.
By the time he came to be, Wan Ling was still on the side of the road, his body drenched in sweat and his clothing soaked.
"Huff!" He panted heavily and crouched.
He felt like a mess.
More specifically the time he was forced to cramp an entire semester worth of lecture notes before his finals.
He shivered as he remembered those dreadful days of college.
"Definitely worth it!" He grinned still in pain and finally stood up.
He felt like his brain was throbbing and while the sensation was discomforting he tried his best to ignore it.
"I need to improve my mastery. " He muttered and stared at the Phoenix ember flower within his grip.
Before he merely saw it as an item to help those with fire spirit root to advance or increase their affinity but now he sees all forms of applications for it.
Fire resistance pills, body tempering pills and many other uses.
"Sigh....the feeling of trying new things is so exciting!" He said eager to decipher what the alchemist who hired him would be using this for.
Eventually he realized he was losing track of his goals and placed the flower within his storage ring after which he rubbed his forehead a few things before sprinted back toward Golden Bay City to deliver it.
