Dual Cultivation God Returns

“Seven minutes?”, several beautiful voices resounded at the same time.

“Mm”, Wu Long nodded as he sat with Wu Mengqi on his lap, gently patting the back of her head as she clung to him. She had to let go of him briefly for him to greet all of his ladies, but as soon as that was done she stuck right back to him.

“Uu~ you could’ve said you would be gone for basically a few hours”, Wu Mengqi said with a sulking expression.

“Hahaha, that wouldn’t be fair to me, no? I did experience a whole week apart from you, so thinking you’re going to spend a week without me for a few hours shouldn’t be too much”, Wu Long lightly laughed, as wry smiles appeared all around.

As he narrated the events of the Secret Realm, with a few added comments from Hong Yue, Gong Liwei, and Cai Yin, his beauties were all huddled close to him, listening with rapt attention and without interruptions.

Though sometimes, they did have to make a pause to react for especially surprising events, biggest of which was of course the adventure in the Ancient Ruin and all that entailed.

But there was also quite a large reaction to the hot springs story, as the three ladies who entered the Secret Realm with him received cheeky gazes from those closest to them.

Hong Yue’s gaze in return for her twin’s variation of that mischievous look was one foretelling an earful at a later time, since the former decided to give the latter a piece of her mind on this topic right there in the hot springs, reminded of that now that it came up.

Gong Cui’s gaze toward Gong Liwei was the most blatant and obvious, as she wasn’t skilled at hiding her emotions or thoughts at all.

While Song Lingfei didn’t need to tease Cai Yin, as when they met again, she could see a certain look in her eyes.

Wu Long received warm and genuine congratulations on acquiring the Extreme Yang Physique, while the three beauties were congratulated on their advancement to the Essence Awakening Realm, with excitement running high.

Helian Muyang and Meifang were introduced to the Dao Family a bit later, they were brought as guests to stay in the inn for a bit, since his family were a regional noble family in control of a city, not one which had a presence in the Imperial City.

Wu Long wasn’t done with repaying the young man for the precious physique, intending to impart to the couple one of his self-created dual cultivation techniques, as well as train them for a short time so they could obtain enough strength to fend for themselves.

For the latter part though, the couple would have to travel with Wu Long back to the Soft Meadow Continent after a brief visit to the Helian family, which was just a slight detour.

Ever since exiting the Secret Realm, the two were in a dazed state, still unsure of what they witnessed in there at the very end.

During the celebratory banquet of the Wu Family with all of their guests, Wu Long came out to the balcony where Cai Yin stood, seemingly collecting her thoughts.

“Daoist Wu…”, she felt his presence, turning back to look at him.

“Mm, it is a beautiful night, Fairy Cai Yin”, Wu Long nodded, walking in his usual calm and measured pace, “And a special one at that”

“Special?”, Cai Yin asked, not realizing she suddenly calmed down, as the atmosphere of their conversation resembled their usual talks so much she eased into it.

“Yes”, he smiled, “It is a night when I gained a certain freedom I have been waiting for”

“A freedom… it must be something important if there were any shackles that could constrain you”, she smiled, as there was little in this world that she knew which could restrain this man.

“Very important”, Wu Long confirmed, “I gained freedom to pursue a certain beautiful lady that I have not been able to approach because she wasn’t ready”

He turned his gaze toward her, and she froze, her eyes widening in shock.

“…”, her mouth opened, but no words came out as all her thoughts became jumbled.

“Hahaha, I would’ve allowed you to gather your thoughts, prepare yourself, and make your move, but I must’ve grown impatient after such a long period of wait. Not to mention, I only remain passive in certain circumstances, it is not my preferred approach”, he lightly laughed, explaining his decision to approach her first without waiting for a confession from her side.

After all, the reason he was so passive around some of the ladies that eventually became his women, was because it was imperative that they made the first move for their own sake. His active pursuit would have left a negative impact on their future.

With Cai Yin, he could not make a move before because of her mental state, basically for the same exact reason he was passive with others.

But now that she overcame it, there was no actual reason for him to wait. Her gathering her wits and becoming mentally ready was needed purely for a bold step of making a confession, completely unrelated to her mental growth, future mental state or any lingering effects. It was purely for the action of the confession.

And that, wasn’t something that would keep him at bay.

Cai Yin covered her mouth with both hands, her cheeks becoming rosy, “B-but I thought…”

“Hahaha, I am a greedy man, Fairy Cai Yin. I think I showed that blatantly enough in the Secret Realm. And I do think you underestimate your own allure”, he stepped toward her, “I would have made a move on you even if you were indifferent to me up to now as a man”

Her mind grew hazy from those words, seeing a look in his eyes that clearly was different from before, as she realized that he was just very good at concealing it.

“Of course, it does simplify things, as I first would have to make an impression on you in that case”, he chuckled, “Whereas now I am approaching you quite shamelessly while knowing how you feel, asking you to become mine right away”

‘Mine’, that word reverberated through her, as her heartbeat began racing. A joy she could not describe or express enough spread through her mind, suddenly clearing the jumble mess of thoughts that came before.

“I do still have to receive a confirmation from you though. Who knows, maybe even my eyes can deceive me. Hubris can never be underestimated… So… what do you say, Fairy Cai Yin? Do you accept?”, he asked as he came up to her, looking down into her gray eyes with a hint of blue which was slightly amplified by the cold moon light.

“C-can you call me by my name?”, she asked in return, giving him her answer.

“Of course, Yin’er”, his smile widened as delight flashed in his eyes. His hands going up to her cheek.

She slightly shook at that warm touch, sending an electric shock through her as she felt a shiver of excitement, her already rosy cheeks beginning to burn redder.

She closed her eyes as he leaned in, and received her first kiss, their figures lit by the moonlight as his other arm wrapped around her, bringing her into his embrace.

They returned to the banquet where Wu Long introduced the new member of the Dao Family, which caused an explosion of congratulations and joyful exclamations.

There wasn’t much surprise, aside from Gong Cui who widened her eyes, turning to Gong Liwei, “Fair-… ah, no, now she’s Sister Yin… anyway, she had feelings for Wu Long?”

“I’m surprise you didn’t see it, with how obvious she was”, Gong Liwei chuckled.

“Well, he is a man of dreams”, Gong Cui touched her chin, “I just thought she was somehow immune… does that mean?”

She then turned to the side where the assassin twins stood.

“Haha, that’s… a bit ambiguous to me as well… I’m not sure”, Gong Liwei hesitated to be so sure this time, as she definitely saw some signs, but then again she could not be certain.

“I’ll go ask her!”

“Wait, Cui’er!”, Gong Liwei barely caught her little sister before she ran off, “You can’t just ask her such things out of nowhere”

“Hmm, then I won’t… I’ll ask Sister Ye later” Gong Cui shrugged, as she was fine with either approach.

“Haa~”, Gong Liwei shook her head, but felt that the second option was probably fine.

After the banquet though, or rather, even before it ended Wu Long’s ladies spirited away Cai Yin, telling him to wait in his room.

He chuckled, seeing how enthusiastic they were while leading her away, but didn’t really object, as she did have to at least learn the Dual Extremes Infinite Union Art.

Though of course, his ladies were worrying more about her first special night preparations.

It did take quite a while though, about 2 to 3 hours.

And as he was already starting to think of barging in and taking away his woman from the clutches of his ladies without bothering with any protests, he felt Fen Baihu’s mist appear behind the door, a single figure coming out of it with slightly hesitant steps.

He smiled, rising up from the sofa and coming to open the door. However the door was opened by the mist, sliding to the sides to reveal Cai Yin in a light silk robe, with rosy cheeks, a sweet flowery scent coming off of her, and a shy, but slightly expectant smile.

He stopped, not shy to express outwardly his reaction to the allure of this modestly and elegantly clothed breathtaking beauty.
