Chapter 75: ⁷⁵: Just mine

"Your friend," Louis said, his smile widening as if he found the whole situation amusing.

"We... are not friends!" I shot back, my voice filled with anger. "We never were, and we never will be. So whatever plans you are brewing, stop them now. I don’t want to be associated with someone like you in any way!"

"Why?" His smile disappeared, his eyes turning cold as he stepped toward me. I instinctively took a step back. "What is wrong with me?" he asked, his voice suddenly much more serious.

"Everything is wrong with you!" I snapped. I could feel my anger rising with every word. After everything that had happened because of him, I had no intention of holding back anymore.

"First, you pulled all that bullshit involving Maria, and then, all of a sudden, you dragged me in front of everyone to dance with you." I took a step toward him this time, refusing to let him intimidate me. "I made it quite clear to you that day that I didn’t want anything to do with you. Then, in the academy right here, I reminded you again that I wanted you to stay away from me!"

"So?" he retorted. "What difference does that make?" He looked genuinely puzzled, as though he couldn’t understand what exactly he had done wrong as if he found bo fault in all this.

"What difference does it make?" I repeated incredulously. "It makes a huge difference, Mr. Dreven! Any sane person would know to stop bothering a girl after she tells them to stay away!"

I ran a hand through my hair, trying to contain the frustration boiling inside me. "But you didn’t listen. Instead, you went ahead and uploaded that video!"

I pointed at him accusingly. "What was your motive behind it? Huh? Did you want all your girlfriends to see it and develop a grudge against me? Was that the whole point?"

I raised my hand and struck his chest with as much strength as I could muster. He stumbled back a step, but I didn’t stop.

"All this for what? Huh? For the Dravera?" My voice echoed through the empty washroom. "You are a Royal! You’re second only to the Alpha of the entire Starlight Empire, and yet this is how shallow your thinking is?"

I pushed him again, forcing him back until his body hit the sinks behind him. "You have made my life in this academy a complete nightmare!"

My chest heaved as all the frustration I had been holding inside finally spilled out. "Every single day, I have to wonder what new drama is going to happen because of you. Everyone looks at me like I’m some kind of alien they need to stay away from!"

I clenched my fists. "All of this because I was better than you?" I stared straight into his eyes.

"Let me make one thing absolutely clear, Louis Dreven. I didn’t take your Dravera." I stepped closer, my voice dropping into a firm, unwavering tone. "I earned it."

The words hung between us. I pointed my finger at his chest emphasising my words, " I got it not by stealing but because I was better than you! I deserved it more than you!"

"So stop bothering me for it like some ob..."

Before I could say anything more Louis suddenly grabbed my hand, pulling me towards him as he spinned us and pinned me to the sinks, leaving almost no distance between us.

His eyes had turned dark as he looked at me, "Stop repeating the same thing again and again Athena Moonvel!" He snapped before he gripped my hair in his hand.

I winsed as he pulled at it to make me look up at him, straight into his dark focused eyes "I admit that the first time Maria did all that with you in the hallway I was pissed with you for the Dravera, I had thought I would enjoy seeing you suffer for daring to take what I thought was mine but the moment I had seen those tears in your eyes everything I had in my head went out the window, there was nothing more I wanted to do take all your pain away."

He moved closer, his breath, fresh like mint falling on my face, "I was too stubborn to admit it at that time, I did everything I could to try to forget that pull, to forget everything my heart was feeling towards you, but I couldn’t, no matter what I did!"

He took a deep breath as he looked looked at my face as if bracing himself for what he was going to say next.

"Staying away from you, changing girls here and there, pretending to hate you, I did everything that I had thought would make that pull vanish but nothing worked! The moment I saw you that day in my house, right infront of my eyes I had realised how stupid I was."

"I Know I am cursed to never know who my mate is but if there was a possibility for me to know how that pull for your mate feels like it will be like the one I feel towards you Athena."

He moved his face closer to mine, my mind was going hawire, this was not possible! No! Whatever this was it had to stop, I can not...in no way let this happen!

"I don’t believe you Mr Dreven!" I retroted back my breathing became rapid as I felt things were getting out of hand.. "You..you are just pretending for revenge ...for drave..

"I don’t give a fuck about the Dravera!" Louis snapped back making me flinch as he placed his hand around my face, "All I care about is having you! I want you to be mine! Just mine! And no matter what you do, tell me to stay away, resent me, whatever, I wont stop until you yourself will become mine!"

He leaned more closer, my heart was filling with dread as I saw the look in his eyes, his nose touched mine making me close my eyes on their own.
