Chapter 1117:- Miserable Downfall Of Chimera Shadow Sect

Chapter 1117: Chapter 1117:- Miserable Downfall Of Chimera Shadow Sect

Ken even suspected that some of the Elders would not help with the evacuation at all. Instead, they would quietly gather their personal belongings and escape from the sect on their own, abandoning all the responsibilities that came with being an Elder of the Chimera Shadow Sect.

Seeing this, Ken felt deeply disappointed. At that moment, he finally understood that not everyone who became an Elder truly deserved to hold that position.

In the end, only three of the ten Elders remained inside the meeting hall.

All three were already very old. Unlike the younger Elders, they were not particularly afraid of death anymore. They had already reached the natural limit of their cultivation talent many years ago. No matter how hard they cultivated or how many resources they obtained, they would never be able to break through to a higher realm.

Since there was no path left for them to become stronger, they no longer had much left to lose.

Not to mention, these three Elders served the Sect the longest among other Elders. They had a deep desire to protect this Sect and keep the name of the Sect Alive.

However, the moment Ken and the three Elders stepped out of the meeting hall, numerous disciples immediately rushed toward them. Every one of them had frightened expressions on their faces. Some were so nervous that they were almost out of breath after running all the way there.

"Sect Leader!" One of the disciples shouted in panic. "The Teleportation Arrays are not working!"

"What?" Ken was shocked. The Three Elders behind him also looked surprised and shocked. In such an urgent time, how could this happen?

"No matter what we do, the Teleportation Arrays have completely stopped responding!" Another disciple hurriedly added. "We tried activating them again and again, but nothing happened."

"We even thought that the Teleportation Arrays might not have enough Mana for a large-scale teleportation, so we added more Mana stones, hoping that would solve the problem. But even after adding the Mana stones, the Teleportation Arrays still did not respond."

"Then we thought too many disciples might be trying to teleport at the same time!" Another disciple continued. "So we reduced the number of people using the Teleportation Arrays. At first, hundreds of disciples tried to leave together. Later, we reduced that number to just fifty. But even then, the Teleportation Arrays still did not work."

Hearing report after report, Ken’s expression immediately darkened. The worst possible situation had just become reality.

Hearing the reports from the disciples, Ken immediately understood what had happened.

He was now certain that Aditya had set up a barrier around the entire island. It was the same type of barrier that had reportedly been used during the attack on Axel City. Once activated, the barrier completely prevented anyone from teleporting in or out of the protected area.

Although their former Sect Leader had never shared the details of the attack on Axel City or explained exactly how the surprise attack had unfolded, the Chimera Shadow Sect had still managed to gather a large amount of information afterwards. Their spies, along with the people those spies had bribed, had slowly pieced together what had happened that night.

Ken slowly looked at the frightened disciples before speaking in a heavy voice.

"Our enemy has created a barrier around the entire island. This barrier prevents anyone from entering or leaving through Teleportation Arrays. At this moment, our island has been completely separated from the outside world." The moment those words left his mouth, the surrounding disciples felt their hearts sink. The last hope of escaping through the Teleportation Arrays had completely disappeared.

Scene Change_____

"When did you make such a high-quality Anti-Teleportation Barrier?" Boris asked with a surprised expression.

The more time he spent with his grandson, the more surprises Aditya gave him. Every day, Boris discovered another hidden talent or accomplishment that Aditya had never mentioned before.

It filled him with pride. At the same time, he could not help but wonder how much greater Aditya would have become if he had never been exiled and had instead grown up with the full support and resources of the Celestial Dragon Empire.

"I originally made this barrier for the Night Rider Sect," Aditya replied calmly. "But later I changed my plans, so I never had the chance to use it. After arriving on this island, I realised this would be the perfect place to activate it instead."

Unlike the barrier prepared for the Night Rider Sect, this Anti-Teleportation Barrier did not require four square-shaped boxes to be placed at the four corners of the island. A single square-shaped box was enough to activate the entire formation. Once activated, it created a transparent dome-shaped barrier that completely covered the island, preventing anyone from teleporting in or out.

The only possible way to leave the island now was to dig through the soil beneath the barrier and escape from underground. However, Aditya knew that the entire sect had already fallen into complete panic. In such a chaotic situation, no one would remain calm enough to think of such a possibility.

"Amazing!" Malakor Harrington could not help but praise his grandson.

The more he witnessed Aditya’s abilities, the more convinced he became that Aditya was unlike any genius the Harrington Family had ever produced.

Aditya simply smiled before adding, "However, this Anti-Teleportation Barrier has one major drawback. Once activated, it can only remain active for five minutes. After that, the barrier will automatically disappear."

"Five minutes is more than enough to finish the job," Malakor Harrington replied confidently.

Boris nodded in agreement.

"Most importantly, none of the sect members can escape during those five minutes. At this moment, their only path to survival has already been cut off. They are completely at our mercy, and sooner or later, they will have no choice but to come here and face us."

Just as Malakor Harrington finished speaking, several figures descended from the sky and stopped above the marketplace. It was Sect Leader Ken, along with the remaining Elders.

The moment Ken’s eyes landed on the centre of the marketplace, his expression stiffened.

There, sitting calmly on a simple wooden chair, was a young man with long blue hair who was missing one of his legs. His posture was relaxed, as though he were waiting for honoured guests rather than standing in the middle of a massacre.

Surrounding him were hundreds of severed heads, headless corpses, and streets completely stained with fresh blood.

The horrifying scene instantly filled Ken with anger. These were the disciples of the Chimera Shadow Sect.

These were students he had watched grow up.

These were the People he was supposed to protect.

Yet they had all been slaughtered in front of him.

For a brief moment, an overwhelming killing intent surged within his heart. However, Ken forcefully suppressed it.

He knew that allowing his emotions to control him now would accomplish nothing except speeding up his own death. He had not come here to fight. He had come with the intention of resolving this matter through a sincere apology and peaceful negotiations.

Deep inside, he could only pray that the young man sitting before him had come here in the mood to negotiate...

...and not in the mood for more bloodshed.

However, contrary to Ken’s expectations, the moment the Sect Leader and the Elders revealed themselves, everyone except Aditya made their move.

The attacks came so suddenly that neither Ken nor the Elders had the slightest chance to react. How could mere 6th-order cultivators possibly keep up with the speed of seven 7th-order powerhouses?

Under Aditya’s instructions, Boris, Malakor Harrington, Luo Han, Zain, Anya, and Ramos all held back their strength. They carefully controlled the power behind every strike, making sure that a single attack would not kill their targets.

Aditya did not want them to die. He wanted them to suffer.

Boom...!

Boom...!

Boom...!

One after another, every Elder, including Sect Leader Ken, was struck by an overwhelming blow before they could even defend themselves.

Each attack sent them flying in a different direction across the marketplace and the island itself. Their bodies smashed through buildings, market stalls, and stone walls before crashing into the ground. Every impact left behind a trail of destruction, with shattered stone, broken wood, and clouds of dust erupting wherever they landed.

Within only a few seconds, the Elders who had arrived hoping to negotiate had all been reduced to miserable figures scattered across different parts of the island, each one coughing blood after suffering a single overwhelming strike.

Aditya leaned back in his wooden chair and looked up at the beautiful blue sky above. His attention was no longer on the Chimera Shadow Sect or the battle taking place around him. Instead, his mind had already moved on to what would come next. With the Night Rider Sect already destroyed and the Chimera Shadow Sect on the verge of collapse, he began planning his next move and the challenges that awaited him after today.

While he was lost in thought, a figure suddenly came crashing toward him at tremendous speed.

Boooooom!!!

The man slammed into the ground right before Aditya’s feet, creating a small crater as dust and broken stone flew in every direction. The person who had sent him flying was Luo Han.

As for the man lying miserably before Aditya, dressed in white robes stained with blood and dust, he was none other than the Sect Leader of the Chimera Shadow Sect...

Ken.
