Chapter 1060 1060:- Childhood Friends
"Also, if there is any possibility of turning a few of my top soldiers into Dragonians." The soldiers whom she was talking about were 7th-order cultivators.
"Well, I am sure if you speak to him, he will definitely agree." Freya seriously nodded her head.
She also needed to ask him if her soldier's loyalty towards her would change once they become Dragonians. If her soldiers become blindly loyal to the Dragon Monarch, then that was a problem.
In moments like this, Freya strangely felt conflicted. On one hand, Aditya was her ally, and his strength had taken her interest. But on the other hand, she was the Empress of her Empire, and she did not want to lose the loyalty of her most powerful soldiers. Even if Aditya won't misuse this power or turn it against her, she still could not bring herself to trust Aditya that much.
It was very unreasonable to expect her to trust him this much after their first meeting.
Including the meeting from the spiritual world, they have met twice since turning adult. It was impossible to have such a high level of trust after only two meetings.
"Freya, why don't you talk to Aditya about this matter?" Athena could more or less guess what was going on in Freya's mind. Athena was called the Goddess of Wisdom for a reason. She couldn't directly read minds, but at least, she could very well understand what was going on in her mind.
"I know Aditya hasn't earned your complete trust, but if you talk about it, then I am sure you will have some kind of answer. At the very least, you won't feel conflicted anymore."
Hearing this, Freya nodded her head.
"Speaking of Aditya, just how powerful is he?" Freya desperately wanted to know. Even before she found out the truth, she was very intrigued by the Dragon Monarch, whose name had managed to spread even to the Main Continent because of the things he managed to achieve.
Throughout the entire Six Continents, Aditya was undefeated. There was no one who could defeat him. Many from the Main Continent tried only to die in his hands. Even his Empire remained undefeated. They haven't lost a single war till now.
This is why Freya wanted to know if Aditya was powerful enough so that she could enjoy one spar without needing to hold herself back.
Holding back and sparring with someone is never fun for her. She had already done that many times, but such kinds of spars brought her no joy. She loved the joy of a life and death battle the most.
"We are not sure." Athena looked at Rin and Laura before replying in an unsure tone.
"Before entering the Dragon Mountain Range, we were attacked by the stepbrother of Duke Ferdinand, who is a core member of the Organisation."
Freya thought for a few seconds before finally remembering her name.
"Michael Carrick?"
"Yes, that's him."
"Aditya managed to hold his own against him."
"Michael Carrick is a beginner 7th-order cultivator."
"But after entering the pocket dimension, where Boris and the other former Emperors and Elders of the Celestial Dragon Empire were resting, the rich mana density of that place helped him break through to the Mid 5th Order. So, he is even stronger than before."
"Perfect!" Freya was so happy hearing this that she wanted to go ahead and find Aditya to fight him.
"I will go and look for him."
"Don't!" Laura stopped her.
"Let him be alone for a while. I think he needs it to sort his emotions. Right now, our comforting words won't help him. He needs to collect his thoughts."
Freya's excitement cooled down as she remembered Aditya's interaction with Victor. Even if she were in his position, she also would have had the same reaction, if not worse. So she did not blame him, but instead understood him.
"Do you still play billiards?" Athena remembered when they were young, Freya often took them to play billiards with the adults, and most times she even won against them.
"Obviously." This was one of her favourite things to play in her free time.
"You girls up for a few matches?" Freya took out the billiard stick. She had the whole setup to play this game whenever and wherever he wanted.
Even at the front lines, she often played this game while discussing tactics in their camps.
"I can't play." Rin never even touched a billiards stick in her life.
"Same. Billiards isn't that popular on the six continents." Especially in the Deep Sea Palace, this game doesn't even exist. Laura learned about billiards during one of her visits to the surface Empires.
"You know, I always sucked in it." Not only was she bad at it, but she also never understood the fun of this game. Yes, it was satisfying to hear the sound of billiards being potted, but that was it. To Athena, she had more important and interesting things to do than play billiards.
"So you are telling me that no one in the Dragon Palace plays this game?" Freya asked with a shocked face. She simply could not believe what she was hearing. To her, it felt almost unreal that such a place, filled with powerful people, had no one interested in something she considered so enjoyable.
Billiards was not just a casual game for Freya. It was something she truly loved. Every year, a nationwide tournament was held, and the winner would receive a reward of ten million platinum coins.
She is the one who started this competition. She doesn't really care about losing 10 million platinum coins. But this huge prize pool attracts the best players and motivates everyone to participate.
The competition was very intense, and it was attracting the best players from across the Main Continent. Out of the five tournaments she had participated in, Freya had only lost once. That alone was enough to place her among the top players in the entire region.
Even outside of tournaments, she never stopped improving. Whenever she felt bored, she would personally seek out skilled players and challenge them. To her, the best way to grow was by constantly testing herself against stronger opponents. Only by putting herself under pressure could she sharpen her skills and push her limits further.
Only by playing against the best could she truly improve her skills at a fast pace. When she faced masters of the game, every match became a lesson. They exposed her weaknesses, forced her to think more carefully, and pushed her to perform at a higher level. Each game against them helped her grow, even if she did not win.
On the other hand, when she played against casual players, the experience was completely different. The matches felt too easy, with no real challenge. Because of that, she could not identify her flaws or areas that needed improvement. Instead of learning something new, she would simply win without putting in much effort.
In fact, she had noticed that spending too much time playing against weaker opponents started to affect her performance. It made her too comfortable and slightly careless. Without strong competition, her sharpness began to fade, and she could feel herself becoming a little rusty. That was why she always preferred playing against masters, as they were the only ones who could truly push her to improve.
"What do you girls do for fun?" Freya asked with a bored face.
Rin, Athena, and Laura looked at each other for a moment before answering. Their lives were not filled with grand or extravagant forms of entertainment like others might expect. In fact, most of the time, their enjoyment came from simple moments they shared together.
"It might be weird to hear, but our main source of entertainment is seeing the chaos that Lilith, Riya, and our other sisters bring when we gather and sit down."
"From time to time, we go on picnics on different private beaches."
"As for games, mainly chess, ludo, and some card games are mostly played."
With Lilith around, things never stayed quiet or boring for long. She always found a way to make everything lively, no matter the situation. Just watching her actions and reactions was enough to make everyone laugh, sometimes even more than any performance they could see in a theatre.
The only one who wasn't laughing was the one who became Lilith's target.
"That sounds really fun." Freya suddenly had a strong desire to see Aditya's family.
"I am back." Aditya opened the door.
The girls looked at Aditya and noticed that his appearance was slightly messy, like he had just finished an intense workout.
"What were you doing?" Rin asked while slightly moving aside so that he would sit next to her.
"I went out for a while to do a little bit of training."
