Chapter 1009 1009:- Flames That Refuse to Bow

"I did not expect him to come here this early." The mysterious man of the organisation, who was watching everything from a distance, was very surprised to see the Dragon Monarch arrive and save the city. It had only been a minute since they started attacking, yet the Dragon Monarch was already here.

His artefact then caught something a few kilometres away from the city, silently floating in the sky. When he looked closely, he was surprised to discover that it was the Dragon Palace itself.

"How is it even possible?" He was very shocked. Yes, the Dragon Palace had somehow become a floating island, and they could not find an answer as to how it happened. But how was it even possible for the entire Dragon Palace to teleport just a few kilometres away from the city?

"Did Aditya do it?" Then he shook his head. This was simply impossible because even if he was a beginner Fifth Order cultivator, he should not have enough Mana to make such a long-distance teleportation of such a huge island.

"I don't know how they did it, but I guess I will just report it to Leo." This was one more thing that they must look out for.

Aditya slowly flew toward the black dragon. The black dragon, who had already been warned about the Dragon Monarch, silently stared at Aditya.

If he were not under mind control, then by now he would have submitted himself to the Monarch of all Dragons. Dragons have immense pride, which means that they don't easily lower their heads or acknowledge anyone as their master.

But when it comes to the Dragon Monarch, their very being as dragons instinctively submits to him. For Dragons, there is no greater joy and bigger honour in life than to fight for the Dragon Monarch. Not to mention, dying for the Dragon Monarch is considered to be the biggest Honor that a Dragon can receive.

"A black dragon?" Aditya felt that he had seen this black dragon somewhere before. If he had met this gigantic creature, obviously, he would have remembered it at first glance.

"I remember now." Back when he was small, young, and naïve, Alfred used to sit down and tell him stories of the past.

On one rainy afternoon, Alfred told him about the story of a mysterious black dragon that came from the east and wanted to build his own empire at the border of the Celestial Dragon Empire.

Unfortunately for that black dragon, all forces within that region turned against him and joined hands to kill him. Alfred's story ended with the Black Dragon flying toward a different region of the main continent, but it was entirely possible that while fleeing, the Black Dragon might have been killed.

The reason Aditya remembered the story so well was that at that time, Alfred had shown him a portrait of the massive body of the Black Dragon. The most striking part of the Black Dragon's appearance was the claw scar that ran across his right chest. This injury was given to the Black Dragon by the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire at that time who was Aditya's grandfather.

"If I remember it right, your name must be Levi." But the black dragon did not answer. Instead, the dragon roared in anger before trying to attack him with another golden flame wave. This attack was quicker than the last one.

Aditya did not even bother to dodge the attack because, as a crimson dragon, he had a certain level of immunity against flame-based attacks.

The golden flames completely engulfed him.

Seeing this, the soldiers sitting on top of the walls became worried.

But the next second, Aditya broke through the golden flames. The golden flames scattered in all directions before turning into nothing. Meanwhile, Aditya came out of the golden flames surrounded by crimson flames.

The crimson flames burned around his body, making it look like he was burning within them—but that was not the case.

Because Aditya brought the dragon Palace with him, just staying within its range, he was able to receive 45% boost in his base stats. Not to mention his healing and mana recovery is speed increase by 85%. Even without needing to take any mana, Recovery pills, his mana was already rapidly regenerating.

But still, to maintain the entire defensive Mana barrier across the city, he burned almost 90% of his total mana. So he knew in this fight, he could not recklessly throw attacks that consumed a lot of Mana but did very little damage.

"I guess you are in no mood to talk." Aditya can pretty much guess that this Dragon was most likely sent by the organisation. Since, as the Dragon Monarch, every Dragon would submit to him by their instinct, but this Black Dragon wasn't following the script, the only logical explanation was that somehow the organisation had found a way to control the Black Dragon's mind.

"But the question is why?" Even though the Black Dragon broke through the restrictions, its power was still limited to Mid 6th-order. After breaking through to Beginner 5th-order, he was confident that he could still take on someone of the Black Dragon's cultivation.

In his opinion, it made no sense to send a powerful being in a place where its power was restricted.

Black Dragon wasn't the one to listen. Rather than its mind being under control, the only thing that existed in its head was to create destruction and chaos.

With killing intent, it charged at Aditya. But the Dragon Monarch maintained his distance from the Black Dragon by teleporting in various directions. Each time he teleported to a random direction, forcing the black dragon to change its path and chase Aditya.

Meanwhile, seeing that she could not find Aditya anywhere, Lilith decided to head out of the floating island. But as she flew out, she noticed that the terrain below had changed.

"I am pretty sure this is somewhere in Westnia." As someone who had travelled a lot in the past, she can pretty much accurately guess which continent this terrtain belonged to.

"Did he do this?" She was surprised to know that the Entire Floating Island could be teleported to such a long distance.

Lilith saw above a city, a massive Black Dragon was fighting her husband.

"So this is why he suddenly left." She did not panic. Knowing him, everything would be fine. It was just a matter of time before he defeated the Black Dragon.

"It's alright!"

"You are someone who was supposed to be dead more than 10,000 years ago. I will just send you to the place where you belong." Considering all the evil things that the black dragon did in its prime before disappearing, Aditya had no remorse about killing this black dragon.

Even if the Black Dragon wasn't under mind control, Aditya wouldn't have recruited him under his command. At most, he would have spared the Black Dragon and ordered him to stay away from his territories.

Suddenly, instead of teleporting to another random direction and forcing the black dragon to chase him, he teleported right above the left eye of the black dragon.

His claw aimed right for the Black dragon's eye. But something invisible froze him completely. No matter how much he tried, he could not move an inch forward towards its eye.

When he looked down, he noticed a pair of black shadow tentacles wrapped around his legs and slowly extended all the way to his waist, holding him in one place.

"Shadow manipulation?" It was shadow manipulation. Aditya was sure of it. He had seen Nathan do something similar before.

Before Aditya could react, he was sent flying towards the dragon Palace with a violent strike from the Black Dragon's claw.

The huge claw of the black dragon left large and deep wounds all across his chest and shoulders.

"It hurts!" Aditya regret it underestimating the black dragon. It's not that he completely underestimated the black dragon, but the sudden use of shadow manipulation to bind his body into one position caught him off guard, and the black dragon took advantage of that to strike him.

『Ding! The system has detected a special kind of Divine Dragon Slaying Poison.』

『Ding! Within 20 seconds, the poison will spread through the mana network channels that run all over your body.』

『Ding! In 30 seconds, you will lose the ability to manipulate Mana.』

『Ding! In 60 seconds, you will lose the ability to move. You will be paralysed.』

He was in shock and disbelief. He looked down and closely inspected the wounds on his body. The blood that was coming out of the wound wasn't golden. It was dark purple, which was a sign that he was poisoned.

"Aditya.....!!!!"

Seeing Aditya get hit so violently, Lilith's expression changed. Her face turned pale and her hands started shaking.

Since he was sent flying near the Dragon Palace, she flew out to check on him.

But Aditya did not wait for her. His focus was still on the Black Dragon.
