Chapter 2875

Sometimes We Should Not Live Only For Ourselves

“Please send my regards to my teacher, Qian RenJi, when you reach the Profound Connection Divine Palace, if he doesn’t feel awkward.”

“Alright! I will definitely do that for you.”

Jiang Chen said.

“Isn’t the young city lord heading to the Profound Connection Divine Palace as well?”

“Even though Zi Xi’s strength is not ordinary, he will never surpass you in terms of talent. I hope that you could promise me to protect him, that is all I ask for. Him staying safe is already a blessing”

Zi Qingtian said in a low voice.

“Climbing the sky to get the bright moon in the sky with passion.”

“I got it. You’re right. Staying safe is a blessing.”

Jiang Chen turned around slowly, and said in a low voice.

He meant to stop what he had been doing but he couldn’t do so. He swore to protect his family and friends from any harm. He would go his own way as a strong expert. Soaring into the sky for ninety thousand miles, intending to challenge God’s will!

“Everyone has their own ambition in life. I only wish that you would give him a helping hand in his cultivation journey, that’s my only request. The Linhe Boundary will remain as long as I’m alive.”

“Great!”

Jiang Chen did not look back. This was an agreement between gentlemen and it was the promise he made to Zi Qingtian. However, he did not say the words: “Zi Xi will be safe as long as Jiang Chen is here.”

There were green grasses by the river and green seaweeds in the sea. Giving a glance at the snow mountain, and looking down at the red sleeves.

There were green rivers and ten miles of bamboo groves. The blue ocean and the sky merged in one colour, and boats were sailing on the lake.

A melodious music was played by the jade flute and there was spring in the air. The cry of the birds, beasts and apes had brightened the sky and brought a little amusement.

The place was surrounded by green mountains and thousands of miles of snowy mountains. It was filled with trees, plants and maple leaves.

There were ripples on the river and the koi fish leapt out of the river and dived back in lively. While the spiritual beasts by the river were listening quietly to the melodious sound of the jade flute, their cultivation was greatly enhanced.

A white-clothed lady with long hair was sailing on the river with a bamboo raft. Her shadow looked like a fairy, slim and graceful. Apparently, she was a heavenly beauty just by looking at her profile. Her face was as clear as jade while her pretty eyes were filled with unusual elegance, coldness and even arrogance. It seemed like everything in the world was meaningless to her, only the jade flute in her hands could heal her sorrows and grievances.

She moved her fingers slightly and started playing the jade flute. The soft sounds reverberating in the air, sweet and delightful, rapid and refreshing.

The moment the flute was played, thousands of beasts in the bamboo groves were running wildly while hundreds of birds were singing. It sounded like they were going to play wonderful and graceful music together.

The lady became an integral part of the exceedingly beautiful scene on the lake, and it seemed like she was an inevitable and indispensable part of the world.

“Hehehe, you are playing the flute wonderfully. Even the small animals greatly benefited and became spiritually stronger.”

On the bank of the river, there was a young lady who tied her hair up into a ponytail, grinning while covering her mouth. Her beauty was not superior to the while-clothed lady; she looked like a spirit from heaven. Her dark clear eyes could see through everything in the world. They were pure and incredible.

The little girl looked petite, she was around thirteen or fourteen years old with a lady’s figure. Her laughter with a little childishness was catchy. The cold white-clothed lady showed a shade of sorrow in her eyes while this young girl still seemed new and pure to the world. Even the white-clothed lady was not willing to affect the pureness of the little girl.

The little girl was standing with her hands on her waist, her face lit up with a sweet smile, showing her dimples. She looked like a spiritual fairy who had fallen from the heavens, lovely and adorable. Undeniably, she would be a remarkable beauty when she grew up and she would make the heroes in the world fall for her and even bow before her.

The white-clothed lady was full of charm, stunning, while the young girl with a ponytail was pure and innocent.

“I guess you’re worried now, sister. I don’t mean to disturb you but I just cannot bear to see you being upset. Even if all of them don’t understand you, I am the one who knows you well.”

The young girl with a ponytail looked serious and pursed her lips. She was extremely adorable.

The white-clothed lady shook his head.

“You know me well but you will never understand.”

“How can you say that? Are you following the arrangement of the sect lord?”

The little girl with a ponytail said angrily, looking depressed.

“Sometimes, humans should not live only for ourselves.”

The white-clothed lady wore a faint smile, there was helplessness and bitterness on the corner of her lips but there was no one who could understand her. Humans should not only love themselves; her existence was the fortune out of misfortune in their sect.

So what even though she was wonderful and stunning? She was whelmed in sorrow and melancholy. Life was full of emotions and feelings, there was no exception.

“I think humans should live for themselves. Who dares to stop me if I insist on doing so? This is what my big brother taught me. I know you are missing him now. I miss him too.”

The little girl with a ponytail curled up her lips and her eyes were filled with tears. She almost cried as she talked. The white-clothed lady did not know whether to laugh or cry after seeing her teary eyes.

“Are you trying to convince me or you want me to give you some advice?”

The white-clothed lady’s face looked full, heaving a sigh. Her face was drawn with some weariness and remarkable charm at the same time.

“I don’t know where your big brother is staying now but so what if he’s here? We may look different now as we haven’t seen each other for years.”

“You’re right. But why am I growing so slowly? I wish I could grow up like Sister Ling when I meet my big brother again.”

The little girl said while curling her lips. Apparently, she was Yue Er and the white-clothed lady was as wonderful as her, Ling Yun.

“But he is not coming back. So, humans should not only live for themselves.”

Ling Yun said lightly, looking back at the North. She could see nothing else besides the white snow. Where was the hope that she had been longing for?

“I believe that he will be back as he will never leave us alone.”

Yue Er asserted.

“I wish we could turn back time. Perhaps he has already disappeared and passed away.”

Ling Yun seemed cold and gloomy.

“No, he will never die. He is not dead! I know that.”

Yue Er said angrily.

“How do you know that?”

Ling Yun fixed her glance at Yue Er, filled with astonishment.

“I know that he is alive and living well now. I believe that I will meet him again some day.”

Ling Yun heaved a sigh after seeing Yue Er’s determination. Yue Er was perfect but she was just too stubborn. As long as she mentioned Jiang Chen’s name, her eyes only had her big brother.

“I know that you like my brother and he likes you too. Don’t worry, he will definitely be back for you.”

Yue Er said with a serious expression. She looked down and went on depressingly.

“But big brother doesn’t like Yue Er.”

After she finished her words, she turned away and walked into the bamboo grove alone. Even Ling Yun could not find her.

“How do you know that your big brother doesn’t like you? I don’t even know that he likes me.”

Ling Yun said lightly before closing her eyes. She stood on the bamboo raft once again, exposed to the winds and rains. The snow fell on the bank of the river, she was sailing on the lake alone.
